OCremix songs: Like or Dislike?

In this thread, we'll be posting 1 OCremix song and the person below gives their opinion and their thoughts. I wanted to do this so that people will be able to broaden what kind of OC songs they would want to listen to if they are having trouble finding more.

yeah it was a pretty sweet song. i liked the choice of songs but i found the guitar was too 'heavy' for my tastes but still a good song 7.5/10

I liked it. Very nice and sweet sounding piano at the start, and then when you get to about a minute and 40 seconds into it, it gets more dramatic by incorporating drums, vocal humming sounds and more intrumentation. Really nice buildup, though I sort of wish it would have had a more powerful ending besides just stopping like it did.

I don't think we can generalize OC Remixes. All the mixes are made by different people, in different styles. But some are really awesome, like the "Terra in Black" remix from FF VI.

I loved "You are not alone" in FF IX a lot (the song as much as the scene it came with). Not really a remix, more a remake, similar to the original. But sounds great!

Some are really hit and miss. I know its from different people, who has different tastes and styles. But some make you think of a lot of things, sometimes reminescent of other games.

I've always liked Kate Covington's versions of the FF music, especially the way she basically write it all herself and comes up with gold every single time.


This one is pretty much one of my favorite remixes of all time. It's off OCRemixes Sonic 3 & Knuckles: Project Chaos album

Really really good. It rocked out big time and it was also pretty funky. I loved the drums, guitar and the organs. Nice find.

That was actually really cool, and no, I'm not just saying that because I'm a pretty big fan of Sephiroth. The remix was really a lot different from anything that I've ever heard concerning that particular track, and it was really refreshing to hear. Almost felt like listening to One Winged Angel for the first time again. It had that kind of impact for me. Loved the entire thing. If I had to nitpick though (and I say this for a lot of songs that I've heard in this thread so far), I would have rather it not end so abruptly.
