We do have a lot of VII fans around, don't we? Not surprising, it does have the biggest fanbase. And the whole Compilation thing, plus Dissidia...
It's always made me wonder if they aren't making a remake in secret to release at the end of the current console generation. Or perhaps, at the end of the traditional style of the series, as seems to be happening already. Go out with a bang, that sort of thing. Although, with the new online methods of distributing the older games, it just seems redundant, not that it's ever stopped them before. After all, they keep going with the ports and more recently the remakes. Eventually they'll make it to the newer gen games...
