Ok, two things I need to ask about this game.

Is it normal for my Luneth to have no armor or weapons, and for my others to have the best available, and he still does 2000+!!? O-O

And also, what do you do in Wi-Fi? Do you battle,or just send messages... ?

Errrrrr, uhhhhh.....No.

Unless if Luneth is a Monk/Black Monk job, then him dealing damage like that is 100% normal.

Monks happen to have the highest attack without wearing equipment.

On Wi-Fi, you can exchange mail with Mognet and unlock secrets, somehow, if you use Wi-Fi...

I have a similar experience. My Arc does more damage unequipped than he does with equipment. As for whether or not it's normal, I cannot say. It did seem odd to me that giving my character great weapons decreased his actual attack power.

Also, about the Wi-fi thing. I am not sure, because I have no one that I can communicate with anyway, but I believe I've read in a thread on this site that tells you what to expect.

It depends on the jobs if your character can do well.

If Arc is a mage/ideal spell-using job, then equipping him with rods WILL make his damage less than usual. Instead he can use magic.
