Hey, something just occured to me.

What is EBG?

Are we just a group of friends that have our own exclusive forum? or are we also supposed to be the epitome of evilness in all of TFF?

I personally think it's both. But hey, it all seems like we're just lurking in the shadows and let the TFF Darkside share (or take over) what's supposed to be ours.

Of course we can say, "they're not really a threat". But it's kinda funny cos ToroMor said that he considers EBG 'history' and I am not willing to accept that...at least as one of the leaders of this Clan anyways.

I just dont like the idea of people thinking that EBG are rusty old timers. Cos frankly speaking, the Darkside's presence can be felt even more around the forums as of the moment and we're being overshadowed IMO.

That's only true in a few really, really bad role-playing games. Here are some clues to one that comes to mind!

This realization should cue SOLDIER #819 and several others defending the integrity of said game, and how erroneous it is to dislike it on any basis whatsoever.

The true villian shows himself early in the first act, but does not show his true ambitions and overcome the original evil until midway through the second act. perhaps that's what we should do, hide behind whoever they are for a year or two, then strike them down and move some statues around, or summon a forum crushing meteor.

Here's a better answer... or at least, the best I can offer.

The EBG. We seem to be a ragtag group of people, a motley crew -- not necessarily a group of friends, mind you -- who all have access to this small portion of TheFinalFantasy. We are supposedly evil, yet no evilness really happens. We do what we want in this little forum, and there's no one to stop us -- beyond that, however, we don't do much else. WE have the freedom to have a lot of fun in here. Regardless of this freedom we all possess, I don't know what we are supposed to be doing or if what we're doing is even fun for anyone.

Being the epitome of evil might tickle some of your (your=the reader of this post) fancies, but it doesn't mean much to me. I'm just here, trying to keep the dream of a madman alive. It's difficult to do with our activity levels, you know? One would think that this would be a new and improved EBG, but really it's just the same as the old one: a forum full of random conversations and not many people taking part in them. Not to say that's a bad thing! I don't mind having nothing to do. But when there's nothing to do there's nothing to keep people sticking around for long, and eventually it just grows tiring to be replying to the same people in the same threads about the same nothingness. Then the forum eventually dies.

If it continues to die out like it has been, it's not going to be a threat to anyone. I don't know what Darkside is or what they do, but they can do their own thing. It's not like any threats on here are serious. The talk may be smack, but virtual smacktalk amounts to a big pile of nothing in my world. I'm no old-timer, but I am a one-timer.

So yeah, I don't consider the Darkside a threat -- I don't consider the Boogeyman a threat, either -- but if this apple falls off the tree in space and hits the bucket protecting my head from alien telepathy, and the headless bodies of the Olsen twins unearth themselves and try to sell me the DVD copy of "A New York Minute", you better believe I'm going to Disneyland. The Darkside's shadow is not there.
