Hello guys. I was so suprised when I saw a poster of Final Fantasy VIII-2 in my frnd's album photo of Face Book. Anyone can tell me bout this?? So curious to know but can't find any clue :-/

That is completely false. There is no way Square is working on a sequel to VIII when they are busy with XIII, Versus XIII, Agito XIII, FF XIV, and KH Birth by sleep. If they were, I'm sure we would've heard of that a while ago. If you want to, link us to the page so I can show you what makes it fake.

As far as I know SquareEnix has no intention to make a sequel to FF VIII, if they do then it's a secret kept well since SquareEnix usually announces every one of their projects. As for the FF VIII poster you saw, it's probably some prank, don't pay to much attention to it.

And same as KeybladerXIII, if you could provide us with the link for that page it would be great.

I haven't heard anything about a sequel to FFVIII, and if there was one, I don't think there would be much left to build on.

Absolutely not. It was probably just a joke, or something someone made for fun. We would have heard about that a long time ago. Yeah I agree, they're most likely far to busy with the upcoming Final Fantasies. Plus we don't want any more messed up sequels.

Meh, I could of swore there was a thread a while back about this EXACT same image. Turns out it was just fanart highlighted in a magazine. It then hit the web and it was misinterprated and people started to believe that it was real. Shortly after the rumor was debunked as someone actually took the time to translate the article and it was in fact nothing more then fan art.

:edit: Took me a minute and I found a simular thread, date back to 2008. It is not the one I am thinking of then again the one I am thinking of might of been on a totally different site or could just be a different one then the one I am thinking about. It's an obvious pun on Square's slut outfits on X-2. I mean, if that's what was seen on FFX-2, what would we expect in any other sequel? Or so says the creator who fashioned the lovely design. Though, I, personally, feel that this world is better off without an VIII-2, lest we be subject to Rinoa's side of the story and end up turning VIII into a chick flick. That's what happened in X, in my opinion.
