Bravely Default: Flying Fairy's Characters Linked with Gameplay
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy for those that don't know is a RPG coming to the 3DS in Japan. The game is published by Square Enix and developed by Silicon Studio, who's past known game was 3D Dot Game Heroes, with Square Enix. Other notables on the title are Naotaka Hayashi, who was the scenario writer for Steins;Gate. Bravely Default features similiar combat and job systems to that of Final Fantasy V with an art style that should remind you of the DS remark of Final Fantasy III.
In a recent interview, more details was revealed about the connection the main four characters have with the gameplay. Each of the characters were crafted to be distinct and have their own personal stories apart from the main story. Their personal stories tie back into the gameplay.
One character, Tiz, wants to rebuild a village. The aid of the Street Pass, you can recruit additional villagers to help in the rebuilding of the village. Edea, another character, is in charge of the quests and job system, while Lingabel has no memories and thus keeps a memo. So each of the characters are assigned parts of the game that you will be interacting with and are important to them.

I really like this feature - but Stateside it will require a lot of work to get the Streetpass features to be useful... better hope a lot of people in your area pick up the game!
