The funniest part in the movie was that a guy's hand gets chopped off and it starts running (oohh scary). And the hand makes this weird squeaking sound which is so damn funny. "Don't be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood" is by far the funniest movie I ever saw, it's full of stereotypical cheap jokes but I like quite a bit, also, you can't go wrong with Wayans brothers.

As for a TV show, as far as I'm concern, "Only Fools and Horses" don't really have a competition here. Brilliant show full of great humor and characters.

Funniest movie I have ever seen is easily Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. Never will see a funnier film in my opinion.

Funniest TV show is a tie for me: Scrubs and 30 Rock. Two different humours, but both as funny as each other.

Funniest series I have seen would be either Black Books or Blackadder. Cant choose between them. If you are not familiar with either I suggest you watch them ASAP.

Funniest film is Monty Pythons Life of Brian by a country mile.

You really can't go wrong with improv, so with that said I think Whose Line is it Anyway ? is/was one of the funniest shows on tv. Period.

I liked 'The other guys'. My favorite scene is where Will Ferrell makes this speech about his imaginary family of lion-eating tunas. I seriously don't know how Mark Wahlberg could keep a straight face through the whole thing.

Recently I've seen Bad Teacher, and I thought it was hilarious. Especially the part where her and JT are grinding and she's just playing along. Funny as heck !

My all time fav funny movie is a tie between Anchorman and Taladega nights. Anchorman it was When they all are sitting around drinking a beer after having a street fight with the other news casters. For Taladega night it was when he says "If you don't like big red then fu** you!".

Funny TV shows....God there are too many episodes to list. Family Guy, The Big Bang Theory, and HIMYM (It has it's uber cute moments !).

I recently saw the first series of The Inbetweeners (a British TV show) for the first time, and was in hysterics all the way through; I have never laughed so much! It's about four 16-17 year-old kids in our equivalent of high school, and what they get up to. It's hilarious! The film, which came out last year, was pretty good as well. I'll have to rewatch that sometime.

EDIT: Upon reading the whole of the thread, I guess you could say I agree with Rowan wholeheartedly.

Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas, even though I'm not totally sure it's a straight up comedy or that I morally should be laughing at the events of the movie. Two guys who are out of control on drugs the entire flick, who freak other people (and each other) out, dodge bills and ruin hotel rooms. ...actually, that's pretty funny. With lines like:

Raoul Duke: There's a uh, big machine in the sky, some kind of, I dunno, electric snake, coming straight at us.
Dr. Gonzo: Shoot it.
Raoul Duke: Not yet, I want to study its habits.

And:

Dr. Gonzo: [spills the cocaine] Jesus! You see what God just did to us, man?
Raoul Duke: God didn't do that, you did it. You're a ****ing narcotics agent, I knew it! That was our cocaine, you ****ing pig swine whore...

or:

Raoul Duke: I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

Reading some of the lines on the IMDB page made me lol all over again. Other than that... um... I really liked Pineapple Express, Hot Fuzz, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Fantastic Mr. Fox for the comedy? Most comedies lose their funny on repeated watchings, though. A lot of 80's comedies like Ghost Busters, Blues Brothers, and Back to the Future I love because they're just awesome movies, straight up.

As for tv shows, Arrested Development, The Venture Bros., and old seasons of the Simpsons regularly caused me to lol. Anyhoo...
