Well, it felt like a ton of work because it took me a while to learn how to make them dubsteppy sounds. This cover honestly just came out of nowhere. I was finishing up my latest cover and then I just randomly remembered this song and how awesome it is. So I quickly learned the main melody, recorded it, and added bass and a basic drum beat. From there I just said screw it lets make it a full metal cover. After that was about done, I figured it sounded a little too similar to some other peoples guitar covers of this song (FamilyJules7x's cover is the best) so I figured it would be a good time to get back to adding some electronic influence into my cover to make it sound a little different, while also learning how to make rapid oscillating bass synths. So this turned into a metal/dubstep/electronic cover. Funny thing too is I originally had this cover almost done last week but ended up taking a little drive to hang out with FamilyJules7x, RichaadEB, Jonathan Young and Jparecki95. Richaad and Parecki gave my some solid advice on the mix and so I gave it a few more days to tighten everything up. Anyway, I'm very satisfied with the way the mix turned out and for it being my first crack at dubstep rock or metalstep or whatever, and I hope you all enjoy the product of my hard work lol.
