Viva, Las Vegas

Well, it's that time of the year again.

At the ass-crack of dawn this coming Sunday, I'll already be waiting to board a flight for our annual managers' conference. It's back in Vegas this year, so I'll be in town from Sunday the 25th until Thursday the 29th! If you happen to be in the area and want to swing on by to say hello, I'll be lost in a sea of 4500 other managers and higher-up-the-food-chain-managers running back and forth between classes and shows and demos and meetings.

BUT! There will be free time, typically as the sun is setting and onward. We'll be in the Venetian, so if you have a hankering for some Streetpass tags, swing your tail by the towers at any given time during the next week and you'll get a few hundred of them.

My personal free time is as follows:
*All times listed are Pacific Daylight Time, for localites

• SUNDAY after 19:00
• MONDAY unlikely unless you want to be active super late, i.e. casino trolling (group dinners with colleagues)
• TUESDAY unlikely (our attendance to the Expo is a day before the public, and typically with slightly different things)
• WEDNESDAY after 19:00
• THURSDAY unlikely unless you're awake in the morning (shuttles to airport throughout the morning)


And yes, Loaf, you would have to move right before I do this. I am coming to Austin sometime next month though.

I don't know if we've got anyone else close enough to Vegas for this to even be relevant, but I thought I'd share.

Everyone visits my city. But nobody hangs out with me. :C

LocoColt, what kind of manager are you? That's sounds like an awesome trip you guys do. Wish I could go, but I got work and Vegas is so damn expensive.

I guess I would be the Major Boss. Like, the boss at the end of that particular dungeon, but nowhere near on the level of relevance as Ultros, let alone Kefka. I'll be the Holy Dragon! This way, I can randomly appear on the Veldt and Gau can learn my rages. ALL OF MY SECRET RAGES.

Also, Tif, this is not my fault. This trip has been planned for me for a year now! :P We don't know where next year will be yet but I think it's narrowed down to New York, Miami/Tampa, or Seattle. Watch it be somewhere completely different now that I've said that. Vegas is only every-other-year now though. Wherever we go, there have to be giant convention centers and hotels for the stupid amount of people we bring~

Oh, cool. Running GameStop gives you alot of advantages. Access to warehouses, why not? I bet you still have all those rare games stashed somewhere, like multiple copies of boxed Earthbound waiting to be sold.

Man I haven't been to Vegas in years. If I could get some time off from work i'd hit that shit up.

Man, I'm not even allowed in the front door of the warehouse without a special permit and a pass for a tour. They don't let people enter there without going rigorous security screenings. Psh.

That's pretty good. Holy Dragon is respectable. Where I work, I'm not even a mid-level boss. I'm pretty low on the totem pole. Honestly, I'm more like that tutorial boss who spells out exactly how to defeat them. Also, I yell "GRUUUUUUUU!" a lot.

Speaking for myself only, I'm as close to Vegas as I want to be. Goldilocks distance. Not that I would have time to drive there even if I wanted to go. ;(

Vegas isn't that cool. I lived there for 17-18 years.
