confused how to get the game
i go the the ff14 site, and it always is either down, or just shows a splash screen with the characters, and nothing about downloading client, makiing account, etc.
so do i just gotta go to gamestop and buy the 20$ dvd then install, then it will update, and let me make my aaccoutn and let me play?
also i hear this game is going f2p, so thers no monthly fee?
atm i am downloading ff11 trial, to check it out
btw how are yall enjoying ff14? i have yet to hear good thigns about it tbh, but id like to know how my fellow ff fans like it
Re: confused how to get the game
main reason i wanna play - is cuz i love the FF style
but would be cool to maky my own character, have own story, etc!
tbh, even though im a PC gamer, i kinda wanna get a ps3 JUST for this game, cuz i love MMOs, but never played a MMO on a console before...
would be cool to MMO it out on a couch!

TERA is PC only but allows controllers to be used in place of mice/keyboard. They even advertise PS3 & 360 controllers. Very convenient when you are just running around questing.
Back on topic.
Here
SQUARE ENIX Online Store - FINAL FANTASY XIV [PC DOWNLOAD]
Digital download. Save you the trouble of going to GameStop.
You can also get it from amazon as a download.
As far as I know, there is no trial to play, nor am I sure how the account process works.
FFXI was extremely over complicated and quite frankly stupid. Hopefully they dumbed it down on this.
The reviews for XIV haven't been very kind either. So I doubt you will hear very good things about it.
EDIT: thought it was worth noting that this game is only 10 dollars on Amazon.
So you could at least try this game out for a month for 23 dollars. Not bad for a months worth of gameplay.
