What made you opt for Zargabaath over the far more popular Gabranth? He seems more popular to me, anyways, but I thought Zargabaath was pretty cool, too.

I saw a copy of "Beyond the Wall of Sleep," today at a comic book convention. It was 1st edition, mint condition, and a cool $1.5k

They seem exciting but never heard of them .

Not sure if I would be fine knowing that I'm the one responsible for the end of the world, on the other hand, all the attention in afterlife would do me good. Thanks Zargabaath!

I've mostly been playing handheld games too. As for which version, it's Persona 3 Portable. I have plugged soooo many hours into the game already, and I think I'm only just over a little halfway through. Gotta play it again to do the Female Main Character's story, so...definitely getting my money's worth out of this title.

I plan to spend my last earthly moments playing some more Persona 3. Nothing like a little Cosmic Horror Story among high school kids to really set the mood for the incoming doom. I should also get some food in my belleh too. Wouldn't want to see teh end on an empty stomach! EDIT: I ate some fried chicken that I dipped in honey, then ate a scoop of chocolate ice cream. Double chocolate ice cream. Mmmm~

That was really nice of them to do that. Mmm... Sushi is yummers too. Great send-off! Usually I hear about people getting cake or something when co-workers throw a party for whatever reason, which is also good, but sushi is sooo much more satisfying.

I've come here because I don't want my thread going any more off topic than it already has (my fault too, not blaming anyone, case on that closed). But anyway...

Sure, you know what you like. Everyone knows what they like. But that's going to be forever limited if you don't try things out once in a while. You could say "Oh, but I know I won't like/enjoy this because of so-and-so..." but what's to say you definitely won't enjoy it? For example, Vicky thought she'd really like FFXIII based on what she knew, but really didn't like it when it came out. A lot of people didn't like it after they bought it, and they only bought it because "It's a FF game, so it's got to be awesome!".

Of course, shooting yourself in the foot is a big "not like". That's just obvious because it'll hurt.

I'm not saying you're stupid for not downloading the games or taking advantage of it, I just fail to see the logic part. Not everything that's free is good, sure. Just it's a free opportunity to try something out. xD

I thank your suggestion as well but I don't prefer that kind of fiction .I downloaded some short stories for different writers under diverse categories so now I must keep myself occupied with them.

Hey Zargabaath , glad to hear that a hard worker guy is having a new pleasing job . In fact the last two weeks were kinda bleak ones or worst .I attended different exams and I'm looking for a job . A few hours after one of the tests I took I received bad news about my grandpa which was his death . I never thought that will affect me that much , in his funeral I was crying like a baby though I hate crying in front of others but there was no way to look strong in times like these .Sometimes I can't think that he is no longer alive ,but as little sis said people disappear from life to live in hearts.
I managed to read the tell tale heart and other short stories . Poe's one shows nothing but how desperate that writer was which makes him the leader of gothic fiction , I read that even no one knows how he died ! drugs ..self killing or alcohol ? unknown
Despite of the madness of that killer I loved the way of narrating his story and feelings .
The worst part which I hated when he cut of his body parts and concealed the corpse of his victim . I think this shouldn't be considered as a real literary work or art when going to describe something disguising like that though I loved the ending when everything was revealed . To be honest when I read sth of any writer I try to relate his work to his character or you can say sneak to know more about him through his writings and I knew him well now . To think tht he was the first writer who described what was going in a murderer's mind is enough to make him unique. still I have the Raven which was the biggest reason behind his fame .Thanks you drew my attention to an interesting writer.

Accounting is a great field right now. It seems like more than ever, people want their money to be squared away and to not get investigated. I have a few friends who are doing that now, and they're doing pretty well with it. Is she going to be a CPA?

And yeah, if I could re-do college, I wouldn't have been an English major. I feel like I didn't really learn a whole lot about the writing process, since I've been doing it forever. What really killed though, was that it took up until two months before I graduated to realize that English wasn't really for me. The kids in the program were all a little too kooky for me.

Oh business is always good to go into. I went for English, and there's no market for that these days... while I can technically do anything, I really can't, since I'm not really specialized.

As for the cancer, my right nut was hurting for about two weeks. It was a dull, lingering kind of pain, like I was more aware that it was just there. I figured it would go away, but it didn't, so I went to the doc. He scheduled me for a sonogram just to be safe, and it turned out that I'm fine. Apparently it was a bit swollen from when my girlfriends nephew accidentally fell onto me, and coincidentally, my nut. I got hit hard, but I didn't think hard enough to really do any damage lol.
