Oh god, not the whole state. Just this area. Although pills have become the drug of choice. Iirc, the county that's about a mile from me has the highest per capita prescription drug over dose in the country >_> might have just been ohio, idr. But yeah, lot of potheads, alcoholics and druggies of all kinds.

The first book does set the scene very well, I imagine it's a different perspective having seen the show first. I admit when I read it back I heard most of the dialogue in the voices of the people playing them in the show, haha.

Yeah I have seen that, one of Eccleston's better pieces and he look eerily like John with the wig on. It's ironic, all he wanted was his father or a father figure in his life and yet he betrayed Julian in the same way as Freddie did with him.

Nowhere Boy is a real toughie - I like it and the rendition of In Spite of All the Danger at the end of the film is almost note perfect but I found the acting very hammy. It's also a little strange that the kid playing John is/was dating the director too..

I'm from the US, by living in a remote area atm I meant a rural area with a lot of space, not a big city. I found finding game emulators passed a lil bit of time, but to be honest I have had the hardest time lately finding any games captivating. So I have to find other things for entertainment in the meantime.
I start up classes again at the end of August and will be moving then. When do college students start up classes in Ireland? What are you going to school for?

Sorry I took so long to reply, I didn't realise I had any messages and I've been having a hard time at home for the past new months. We still haven't had out summer though, we had a nic day yesterday but nothing great yet. Fingers crossed.
