Because I didn't want to support them in any way. It was two things really. Some of the more active members have been fairly nasty to some of my friends I met here in the past, and they were acting a bit elitest in letting people join at the time I left.

Man, I have no beef with members or member wannabes who are't acting like dicks. Some of the members are pretty cool.
It's more I dislike some of the key members.

I'm flattered that you would think I have the most experience with the series though I doubt that. Your question is pretty difficult. There are many characters that I like each having various & differing reasons. At the top of my head I would say Squall. He is my favourite main character because of how we, the players, are able to see what he is thinking which can be pretty deep. I like his growth from being a loner to eventually opening up.

Though Gabranth does put up a good challenge.
