Did you get taught creationism in school? I'm 99% sure that there isn't one school in New Zealand that would even attempt that.

Learning about the Scopes 'Monkey' Trial made my religious education class laugh. Not a science class, a religion class.

Creationism is philosophy, not science. It only adds to the perception that your country is stuck in the past, despite being the undisputed leader of the world. A strange mix.

I agree that America has many good features, and I have nothing against the liberties enshrined in the Constitution, but I think there are other liberties that Constitution-fundamentalists scream blue-bloody-murder at.

I remember listening to the radio 5-7 years ago, just as the playoffs started or just before; the people on the radio were talking about having a Red Sox-Cubs World Series (before the Red Sox won in '04) and that their curses can't end and something would happen to cancel the World Series. They said that an alien invasion would halt the World Series between them, there would be no winner that year, and their curses would still be alive.

I heard a rumor from my friend who told me at the scene where you split the group up in Kuja's hideout. After Zidane's group, if you picked certain members for Zidane's group you could control Amarant. Not sure if it is possible, I've tried it a few times and got nothing.

But 'les' is not the feminine article, it's the plural. For feminine words it would just be 'à la'.

I usually don't have a problem with grinding, but when you NEED to grind for an entire day, just so you can make it to the next town, due to the difficulty, it becomes frustrating. I remember I would advance the story for a day, and then grind for a day. My levels were usually on par with the enemies, but I was never really able to just dominate. I was filthy stinkin rich though!

As for VI, I agree, equipment or row problems usually bested me, and not the character levels. The only times I found myself grinding in VI were when I wanted the Paladin Shield (255 battles with the Cursed equipped) and when I needed to bring some balance to my party, since I get a little OCD about that.

Level grinding, or just a ramped-up difficulty? I found that I never had to do any extra effort for VI. Occasionally a boss may have threw me, but it was usually equipment-related rather than anything else.

I think I had that issue with V too, but I remember that changing jobs was useful. I dunno, I'll have to play it again soon in a few weeks when I'm on break.
