I just got back from the CD shop over here a few minutes ago and I saw Within Temptation!!! Only one CD though. It was Mother Earth. The album cover was just like this:

The only B-side they had was Restless which is originally from the Enter album. I was thinking maybe they'd either have Running Up That Hill or at least Jane Doe. =/

Till the day both Within Temptation and Evanescence stop making music, you'll always see them being compared. Then again, their legacy will live on and you might still hear it. ><

If anything, you'll always see either Within Temptation vs. Evanescence, Lacuna Coil vs. Evanescence, or even Nightwish vs. Evanescence which all four bands are nothing alike.

Evanescence has a variety of mixed influences. Nightwish is power/symphonic metal. Lacuna Coil is gothic metal or simply metal depending on how you want to see it. And Within Temptation is symphonic rock. Though if you've heard their 'Enter' album, people say it's gothic metal before they went in a more symphonic direction with later albums.

That sounds cool about using Sharon as a sig/avy. Never seen one at TFF before.

Yeah, that's my backup plan at the moment. I think I'll enter my current or one of my X-Files or Phantoms if no inspiration comes to me.

And I agree. I definitely need to start hunting down some Godsmack albums as well as Within Temptation's stuff.

And I just saw the Youtube clip of Godsmack. Their acoustic stuff is amazing. They even sound amazing live!

Yeah, kinda sucks. And it does make me five . We can both count. I'm proud.

Also, if you download "Aeon" from their Comalies album and it sounds like it's scratched during the middle of the song, that's how it's supposed to be. >< They thought it would sound cool if it were like that and it is!

Halflife's an awesome EP. It was recorded during the Unleashed Memories era. But you can also find it on Unleashed Memories.

As of albums, the only ones I know that are out here in the U.S. is Comalies and Karmacode which I already have. I would probably have to import In A Reverie and Unleashed Memories if I wanted to get them. I would wish they would find a U.S. distributor though for their older stuff. Within Temptation did that.

As of their acoustic stuff, it's golden dude. I have yet found an MP3 version of their acoustic stuff but I know that they did an acoustic version of Swamped and Heaven's A Lie. Also, if you look for them on youtube, they've done Within Me and I think Senzafine.
