I don't hear too much about Spirit. That probably is a good thing. I hear a LOT about American Airlines. I'm interested to see what they do. Especially when they're trying to commit to so many planes in the future. Tough situation. Also Air Canada is in big trouble. They're having trouble with their unions and it looks as though everything is turning against them. Something happened with the baggage handlers today causing more strife. Earlier this week it was the pilots calling in sick and they just laid off a bunch of workers. It's another story I want to keep updated on. Especially since I was hoping to work for Air Canada in the future. I have been pulled toward the Management side of things. After I was told that I'd make a great manager someday, I want to see to it that I do. It's the redundancies that make things work (and more safe) I guess. I don't know. I just want to get my PPL asap. I miss flying.
Not a whole lot actually. Just been working and living life. Trying to find a new place to live in the outskirts of T-town. Aviation here is doing good reguardless of what's going on with American Airlines's current situation. Not sure what kids of oprotunities will be availible when they start laying off around here. Spirit is looking to hire though which is good for me. Not only puts me higher on the seniority pole but also shows we are healthy enough to support the jobs that are coming availible. To me I prefer maintinance. Its a whole different beast then the manufacturing side of the feild. One of the main things I don't like working there haha. Maintinance spoiled my mind rotten and this same job every 18 days is to redundant and repetative haha.
I remember you saying you work at Tulsa. That place is like a dream for me. Although I might not be able to work there because I have no maintenance background. I just want to see what goes on there. I'll be going back to Pearson tomorrow to show prospective Aviation nerds all about Pearson. It's also another dream place I want to work at. I had temporary opportunities, but I want to work there full time. I'm just back in school now finishing my diploma for Aviation Management. I can't wait. What have you been up to?
Just glad to see there's another person that is infatuated like I am hahaha.
Thanks Meier :3
Been drinkin a little tonight. Plus bad speeling abitlities equal epic fail on my part hahaha. I knew I screwed it up but didn't really care to look up how to properly spell it haha.
Good. Up and down, but overall still good. I just need this semester to be over. I need money back in my wallet.
Been around. More active in the back ground and what not. How have you been?
He Returns!
Hey, RhapsoBlarg has been having a problem uploading a gif to his avatar picture. Do you mind helping him out? I have no idea how they work. Also, where is my pizza? I'm hungry.
O_O!!!!! That's awesome! The experimental Gulfstream plane sounds pretty sick too. I'm glad I met you actually. Gotta get with the times!! Put down the wrench!!
I work off the Tulsa International airport at Spirit Aerosystems. I just got hired in there back in February and currently building wings for an experimental Gulfstream plane. The bulk of my experience is in nacels, thrust reversers, fancowl doors, inlets and composites but I have done flight control surfaces also. On a same not I have worked all those parts on the DC-10, MD-80, 737, 747, 757, 767, and the A320 haha. Was always a wing nut and got my A&P back around 04. I was with my old job working for Lufthansa for just shy of 10 years. I was thinking about going back to school for my engineering degree but not sure if I can handle not being able to turn a wrench and blast a rivet gun haha.
Woohoo! I didn't think I'd find another Aviation loving person here. Yeah, I know what you mean. That's what got me into this crazy world. Which airport do you work at? I'm currently exploring the 737s, 757s and will be exploring the A380 next week through my job connections. I work with Sunwing atm. Lovely little airline. I'm only working with them until the end of the month, I'm a bit sad to leave, but life must go on and I could use some more education. Nice to meet you too
So your an aeronut like myself huh? Sorry just read your journal. I work off an airport too and dig everything aviation. Getting to watch the F-15s do touch and goes daily and feeling the vibrations of the afterburners kicking in gets my blood going haha. Oh and its nice to meet you hahaahaaa.
