Honestly, reading and posting in topics is the main thing here. There's a whole heap of Final Fantasy topics and trivia to dive into, depending on the ones you've played and such. There's a gaming forum, where you're not limited to just Final Fantasy. If you're looking to come away from games, there's General Chat, Intellectual Discussion, Music, Films/Animation, etc, forums to post in. Those are good for getting to know the other members. One other place which is good to get to know people is the Humour and Word Games sub-forum in General Chat. That's the place for spam, really. If you know any good forum games, or like any already there, be sure to check it out.

Seeing as you're a writing person, you might want to check out the Literature and RP forums. Feel free to leave snippets of your work there if you wish, and take a look at a few RPs. When you're comfortable enough, you can set up your own RP and get others to join (although, RP is quite a slow going thing here).

Fortunately, you've joined at this time of year when certain events take place, like the awards and the Quistis Ball. The Quistis Ball is a huge RP that gets done once a year about the same time as the awards, and allows members to show off their creative side, their writing skills, and it brings people together. It's a lot of fun.

There's also a whole bunch of social groups. Most of them are inactive, or moved into the Clubs forum, but I'm sure there's a few active ones about.

If you get bored, there's an arcade full of games at the top of the page (forth right from User CP). When I joined, you had to buy a pass using the gil you earn from making posts, but I don't know if that's still there. There's some fun games in there though. ^^

I'm Gemma, I'm eighteen years old, and I'm looking for work. I love video games and I've (probably stupidly) given my soul to Sony Playstation. I'm not an Xbox fan in any way, shape or form. Umm... I studied Software Development at college (if you're from America, not your version of college - the step below that), so I'm a little handy with computers. I still panic a lot when it comes to them, which is humorous and annoying to some people. Just swapping my PS3 hard drive made me panicky and sweaty as if the fate of the world was in my hands. ^^;;

I'm pretty much... just a poster here. I don't really do anything else. Unless you count being the owner of the Rulers of PSN social group, then maybe I'm a little more. I'm not a mod of anything, even though I'd like to maybe give it a go one day. We'll see, I don't plan on leaving here soon.

Glad to have a new person to mentor, really. I think I've had four since we started this program, and three left and one lurks. I promise you, I didn't do anything horrible to the three that left, they were sign-up-and-leave-ers, and one was in the army. Now I'm blabbing. ^^;

But yeah, I'm around if you want to talk, if you have a question, etc. I dabble in Photoshop a couple of times a week, so I'm happy to make you a banner or something if you want. ^^

not a problem, I couldn't agree more with your post. Just take the ID forums with a grain of salt, most of the forum is very chill but that is always the hotspot for debate, and a lot of times those threads get locked because some people don't know when to cool it.

But yeah, though TFF isn't near as active as it once was, there's a lot of quality good people around and everyone is really close, so I hope you stick around!
