Just thought I'd drop by and say that I dropped The Secret World.
The game is pretty sweet if I do say so myself. Its theme and setting is definitely a different breath than the traditional "fantasy" MMO. I didn't delve into the story that much. I only got to the second town or so, basically I'm just learning why this "darkness" is bringing zombies and monsters to life.
The gameplay is pretty standard for an MMO, but its pretty fast paced. If you have a bunch of friends (or joining a guild) that like to play the game. I could see this being an extremely fun game. And thats the impression I've got from most players who have put many more hours into the game than I have.

Problem is I don't really enjoy PvE. At least not enough to pay $15 a month for it.

The reason why I dropped it is because the PVP was a mess. Its not balanced at all. The Warzones are a never ending battle for territory between the 3 faction. Awesome idea, bad execution. Under leveled players stats are boosted to that of their opponent to even the playing field. The problem is that my skills are far under theirs. They have more powerful healing and damage skills compared to mine. I could hardly even put up a fight. It either needed to be separated by level, be specifically end game content, or just increase everyone to max level with all abilities like Guild Wars. I never did get to try the Arena type PVP, but after seeing how OP some classes are, I didn't want to bother.
