As for program, I was trying out Camstudio. Also, I'm trying to do this on my laptop at the moment since our desktop is toast, which actually makes me worried because I'm not sure if it's such a good idea to try this on a laptop :s bad idea?

^ this was while I was recording, it actually had a problem using the DivX codec when I used PSX so it went to default.

With the DivX codec installed it lags less, the only thing I'm worried about though is wearing out my computer, since it's the only one I haz D: lol

I had a question and thought maybe you would know I was recording game play and I noticed on my sega emulator, I have no problems but when I try to record on my PSX emulator it lags/ slows down pretty bad.

Any idea why that might be happening D: ?
