I didn't mean the comic books of Asterix, but the movies with real actors. They're lame. The comic books rock.

Taxi 1, Taxi 2, Taxi 3 and Taxi 4 are about a guy driving a cab in Marseille, France. They're pretty good and well known movies and lots of people like them. There's action, humour etc. in them. Good entertainment.

I have The Name of the Wind (the book); I haven't read it yet, I may read it next after I'm done with the book I'm reading now. It does seem to be a very interesting book.

I lost my interest in Fantasy when I was about 17 I think.

It didn't do it for me anymore.

And psychological changes in characters are a major factor in the quality of a story.

Fantasy mostly lacks what I look for in a book. Plus, it's mostly the same anyway.

And I meant actual French movies (like Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain) with English subtitles, not American movies dubbed with silly French voices.

You could watch French movies with English subtitles (or whatever your native language is). That's how all the people in Belgium know English from a young age. The Simpsons, movies, you name it. It's all subtitled, unlike the ridiculously dubbed versions in France and Germany and stuff.

And the books I like most are books that kind of have two levels. The plot/story for one has to be interesting and thought through, but there has to be some other dimension to it too. Some reflection by the protagonist. A philosophical side, if you will. Or political. Something that inspires you, makes you think about or even reconsider certain ideas about the world/society/human beings/yourself.

Though I'm not someone who can only like something that is all intellectual or arty-farty. Really not.

Fight Club and A Clockwork Orange are movies that are really my taste, to give you an image of what I mean, moviewise.
