You got negative rep because you became insulted from my opinion on your faith, not you as an individual and made assumptions about my understanding of the topic at hand and Islam. You made it personal, I did not and as such you got neg rep. If you cannot handle differing opinions on things which you hold dear to you then do not discuss them in a forum created for discussion and debate.
