I really expected Dissidia to be something different and it was, that's all I cared about. It was a good game, I actually liked moving around the stage and being able to think about your next moves. Unlike games like Tekken and Street Fighter where you have seconds to think and you end up making mistakes. I hope there is but for a next-gen console, I just feel they would be able to put more effort into the game and time as well.
No problem, it was alluded to but never outright stated, so it was very possible to not pick up on it. I agree though, I think they really wasted a lot of potential in the game and not just with Kuja. You'd think if anyone was going to break the plotless fighting game stereotype, it would be SE. As far as I've read, SE has stated that there will not be a sequel to Dissidia. It was just a one-time thing. We'll see how that goes though.
I don't think he should have be shoved to the side though, just because of his age. I never knew that they didn't remember their pasts... Thanks for that. I guess you can't, shame really... Let's hope they make a sequel, but I doubt it'll happen.
He was treated as inexperienced because he's the youngest of them all. It's not really clear-cut in the story but none of the villains (or heroes, for that matter) remember the events of the worlds they were gathered from, with the exception of Garland. That and the way he was written, he did come off as being rather petty. They only really showed the very surface aspects of his personality, mainly his self-centered narcissism. Come to think of it, maybe we don't see his more sinister side because he doesn't actually remember anything aside from his obsessive hatred of Zidane. Most of what they put in was just fanservice anyways so you can't really expect too much, alas.
Well, it seems that other villains had bigger roles in Dissidia especially the Emperor which I didn't really understand but you are right, Kuja does need time to plan but why was he treated as a inexperienced villain? I wondered because he was able to nearly take over all of Gaia... Oh, well, I guess its what people liked. Really? Cool, you may of guessed my favourite already too!
I chalk that up to there not being enough of a cohesive plot in Dissidia for him to really do anything interesting beyond harassing Zidane. That and you only got to see snippets of the villains interacting. Kuja is definitely not a one-shot character, he needs time to scheme. XD He's not just my favorite villain, he's my overall favorite Final Fantasy character, lol.
I knew it! I actually love his character too, I was talking to a friend about how they concentrated TOO much on his poetic side in Dissidia and not on his cunning, evil and gentleman like personality. I loved his cheeky insulting quotes that he would say to Zidane and friends. Altogether, my favourite Villain!
It's not the only reason why I like it but yes, that is a fairly large part of it. XD And I will point out I do like him for his character, not just his looks...that's just a bonus.
Let me guess... You have a mad obsession for Kuja and that's why you love it right?
*looks at avatar and banner* Nope. Hah jk, yes I do like IX quite a bit. I'm just a bit unorthodox in my reasons for liking it lol.
Are you saying that you're a Final Fantasy IX fan? That's great if you are, it's rare to find people that have IX as their favourite. Anyway, thanks for the compliment!
Lol, it does. XD Just not to anyone else haha.
Thanks a lot for the thanks... If that makes sense!
