Could use some work on the edges and the blend between back ground color and forground colors. The main image outline is blurry and poorly meshed together and the outlines are broken and bleeding.

Suggestions: Use Paint.net or Gimp. Use a refined eraser and copy the image over to a decent back ground.

It looks like you used microsoft paint to make the avi.

Sorry about the harshness of this post. I am not trying to be mean. Just offering up some room for improvement.

Wait, who is that? Looks familiar. =p Anyway, for the avatar itself, I don't think there's a border, is there? I always think a small border, even a 1 pixel border, really adds completion to avatars and rectangular banners. I love the colors that you have, and I absolutely love the way you have the blue star with the font next to it. Genius. I don't really like the font itself, though.

Anyway, I give it a 9/10, for those two reasons mentioned above. =]
