vbCommerce Now Open

Hello all!

Well good news, vbCommerce is now open... but please note that it isn't 100% complete. This is actually a 'beta' release of the product so there are still some tweaks I am waiting for that will be on the final released version.

Right now, I have everything in one store to keep things simple (216 Items as of now). I tried to keep prices reasonable... it was especially tough due to the fact that many of us have a lot of Gil accumulated over the last few years, but hey, we finally have something to use it on.

I'm sure the admins and I will be playing with the configurations, so it is hard to give a final statement of how things are currently set up.

Some Quick Notes:

• Right now there is only 1 store... but very soon any user can request to make a store. You are also allowed to add up to 2 co-owners to help operate it.
• Earn 50% profit of revenue earned.
• Can return items for 75% of the purchase cost.
• Limited to a max. of 5 icons per postbit (I am going to organize this different as soon as 'sub-categories' are released... I have a damn good idea for this.... there will be equip slots (head, arm, body, weapon, item)
• Limited to a max. of 20 icons in profile.
• Can now give gifts

As I noted this is still in BETA, so expect a few weird issues, but please report them here. i'm glad this up. Thanks for all of your patience!

Just wondering about one thing though. Will options like formatting our names in a fancy way (or just a different text) and things like that be made available at some point in time?

Like how the last vbstore was. =D

Alright, I decided to return Nagnarok. In here, it stated that I'll get 75% out of the cost of the item, but when I did that, it didn't happen .

Glad you guys like thus far. Appears to be working great!

Silver - yes, there will be an item type that will allow anyone to stylize their username and a few other parts of their postbit. It isn't officially released, but that portion should be available for the final release. I"ll be sure to keep everyone posted on any new features that are added.

Azuteor - Yes, good for RPing and you didnt' get a refund back, really? No error messages, etc? Just nothing happened? Let me know, sorry

I spent sometime cleaning up the postbits so everything didn't seem so cluttered... I am still working on Dark, then I will be sure update the other styles when completed.

Yeah, I was going to return something as well, so I checked with a cheap item. You get a database error message, nothing special. I'll attach it in case you're remotely interested. It's not that interesting, it just tells you to refresh the page and that you (TFF) are sorry. The item does disappear though. Just no refund. xD

Hey all -

I am currently upgrading the vbCommerce to the latest release which fixes quite a few bugs... including the 'return' error that is pointed out above. Please allow a little bit while the store is down and it should be back up soon! As always, please continue to report bugs/comments, and I will be sure to stay on top of them. Overall, I think the system is running very smoothly. Hope all are enjoying it thus far. Thanks,

Not sure if you are aware of it, but I typed up a question in the "How do I" subforum in one of the prexsisting threads, still waiting on an awnser. I will wait to see if the upgrade fixes this glitch before persuing it any further. I just wanted it to be know.

Quick update. I put up a TFF Lotto and Banking link in the vbCommerce section. You should see a link for it on the left-hand side. It is basically the 'gil/credits' home area... (where you can donate, etc).

They were both very hidden and I thought this would give them both more use.

I started a Holiday TFF Lotto, haha. Tickets are $250 and you are limited to 4. You can chose the #... on christmas, a random # will be drawn, whoever owns that # (1-100) will get the jackpot... if no one is selected, then it goes to the next day, and so on. If there are multiple winners, it is split evenly.

I have no idea how well this will unfold. I tried to keep the ticket prices fair for new members, since some of the old timers have like 1000000000000000 gil now

Thanks Fuzz. The only problem I encountered was when clicking the Bank option, it takes me straight back to the forums. Other then that, the lottery link is fine.

Just noticed another glitch in the VB Commerce I was going to gift something and backed out at the last minute, right at the send option, and decided to gift a Thunder Bow for 3000 gil but when I tried to gift it out and it comes up saying that I do not have enough gil now. But as you can see I clearly have more then 3000 gil. Just thought I would bring this up.
