Sorry for the delay in starting the member elimination first and foremost. Real life sucks right now when it comes to getting reaquainted with a day time schedule.
Right now I am trying to find 2 new oblitorators to add to the mix. If anyone is interested please pm me a quick death plot story and I will make my choice based upon the entries. I am going to keep the oblitorators limited to 3 again this year, myself being the only one returning from last year. Thanks.
So I gather you're still waiting?
Do we need Obliterators? They don't exist in other elimination threads, I think. Just get this underway.
I second the liberal bitch. Lets be like CPC8 and MAKE
IT
HAPPEN
But the oblitorators are what makes it really interesting. I'm up for waiting.
The best part of last year was when members started coming back from the dead and targeting certain people, and there was a shitload of drama.
At least that was MY favorite part. :spyfap:
I'm game for whatever everyone else wants to do.
My favorite part was reviving Joe, and seeing him win in the end.
Game goes live next Sunday unless I get the 2 oblitorators or if the whole obliterator thing is nixed from the game plan.
Ideas? I have a back up plan just in case. Thoughts?
The entire Obliterators thing is totally confusing... -.-
I'm game for "Let's just start this".
I'm game for anything, no pun intended.
Obliterators aren't confusing people.
Once someone gets to 0, only an Obliterator can get them out of the game. Say I am at 0, and an Obliterator hasn't taken care of me yet, you can revive me.
Ahh, for dramatic game changing turn arounds.
They don't really sound too nessesary to me... Why not just make whoever's count drops to zero, loses. Simple.
Its just added flare to the game. A brutal ending to all those that loose. Nothing like adding insult to injury. I am suprised no one has jumped at the chance to fill the role though.
If no one steps up soon then I will start the onslaught.
can an obliterator also take part in the elimination? What I mean by this is that can they also be one of the people who have points to their name? Or is their role exclusive for detailing exotic deaths?
Sorry for the delay in responce. Yes they can. Obliterators do not act as members but a free standing entity. So yes they can be the contestants.
Picked the second obliterator after a brief pm. Will wait to make the announcement until the third is found before my time limit is met.
Okay judging from the WG/H forums i'm not too late to sign up for this, i missed it last year and i thought i had this year.
Squall, I think you missed out again. The OP in this thread says that all wanting to play had to have signed up before August 6th. But, because Meier hasn't started the game (it's supposed to start on August 21st), he may let you in. Don't feel bad, though; due to my computer trouble I didn't know about the whole until yesterday.
If Squall gets to play, I want to also. Please?
I will add both of you into the roster soon. Can't do much from my phone right now.
Also the start up of this game will start tomorrow. Found my last obliterator and will pm both with details when the game launches. Thanks for the patience every one but I figured the game just would be as epic with out the satisfying deaths as each member falls.
I am so ready for this, I have got it all figured out.
Had no idea there could be a strategy to this game......
I know this is my first year in the Member Elimination game, but I studied the last two years' contests. My question is:
Where in the rules does it say that if you use your vote to resurrect a knocked out contestant that you also get to cast a normal vote as well.
Gypsy Elder's last vote:
One of the vote-ups went to Darkwolf, and then there was a vote for Alpha as well.
Then there were two vote-downs as well. Both Loaf and Rocky received a vote-down.
Please, help me understand this one.
Rebel Rebel!
As stated in her post, she's being a rebel. Whether or not that is right is up to Meier to decide. She's taking Sunday's rules and applying them to today is you want to try to make sense of it. To be honest, since it's still early, I really don't think it matters. That's just my opinion.
Nearly half of this year's contestants have never competed in the Member Elimination, and YOU are also in that number. I was just wanting a clarification on the rules, because I don't want people getting cranky and saying that people were trying to cheat.
I find Gypsy to be a very interesting person. In fact, when my hair grows out some more, Gypsy has already laid claim to it when I cut it again. So, my post wasn't to call anyone out. I was just worried that someone may complain that they were wrongfully knocked out and blame it on that one vote.
I made a report earlier, but just letting everyone know that somewhere on page 2 of the elimination thread, polk is wrongfully missing a point from his name.
Gypsy was in the wrong adding more then one point and taking more then one point away. That needs to be adjusted also the deficiency in polks score needs to be adjusted.
Resurrection votes count as your daily vote. It falls to the normal daily vote and special day voting rules.Quote:
