A friendly holiday reminder: DON'T FEED THE TROLLS.

Guys, this really should go without saying. If you come across a troll post, be it porn links, spam topics, flamebaiting, or whatever from new accounts (or old accounts!), don't respond. By responding to the trolls, regardless of whether you are being witty or not, you are doing EXACTLY what they want you to do. Ignore them. Report the post and move on. I don't care if it gets reported a dozen times, there is no reason to egg them on with responses. The more you respond, the more accounts they'll make to illicit such responses. Use your heads.

I'm taking note of the time of this post. Any troll-responses made by our userbase in response to today's spam wave after the time of this post will be met with warnings from myself when I get home from work, or other staff members if they beat me to it. I'm letting any prior posts slip by because, hey, it's the holiday season (even though you should know better).

Please excuse any typos as I am handling this from my phone.

I know I have been inactive for a few days and have a lot of messages. I will deal with these when I have time. Do not bug me about these in this thread.

As always, we ask that you don't faux-moderate, even though some of you always feel the need to do so. The staff has already brought this up amongst themselves and will try to be a little more proactive this season.

We get hit by trolls more often then people realize and alot of them are caught and removed from the system before most people even notice.

We do have our instances where trolls seem to come out of the wood work and in such instances the staff here wants everyone to remember to not bait the trolls. We strongly encourage the use of the "report" button and for the members to leave the trolls to the staff.
