FF XI guilds?

Are there any guilds in Final Fantasy XI? I ask because I want to know which one is the right guild to join.

Yes, though they are called linkshells. There are hundreds if not thousands of linkshells available on any given server that range in purpose. Some are just social LS and others are meant to do endgame stuff while others do missions. Depending on what you want to do you'll have to find one that fits for you. I usually see at least one LS advertising for members everytime I log in so it is not too hard to get a random one.
