You know, when everyone says "This movie sucked! you should feel the same way too!". There are always going to be somebody who is on his tiny island in a sea of opposite opinions. what's your island?

Mine is "The Spirit".

In my opinion, this movie is one of the best comic book movies out there. people expected it to be a gritty bloody movie like Sin city. I think when I was in that theatre, I was the only one actually enjoying themselves. Everyone was pissed off. I was laughing my ass off, and people were actually LEAVING the theatre. you can not look at this movie and actually believe that it was meant to be taken seriously. The acting was deliciously over the top, the effects were stylish, and Samuel L. Jackson was practically channeling Buddy Love from the Nutty Professor remake! I also loved how Gabriel Macht was pretty much talking about the city like it was his wife. Every hero should act like that! You know how crimeless new york would be if Spiderman, Fantastic four, and the avengers treated the town like their spouse?! I digress, anyways this film is one of my favorites and gets an "Antidrall badge of ass kickery"

Lord of the Rings. **** that stupid series. Another tale of magic, knights, elves and dwarves. The music bothers me the story doesn't catch me. It's all over the place. People love to watch the trilogy with the extended version being 12 hours total...I had to read the Hobbit in 8th grade and yeah I liked it. But the Hobbit is certainly not like the LOTR.

Well, I really liked the animated film Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, but not a whole lot of people were on board with the idea of the movie, I guess. I also never really hear anyone talk about it. Not that anyone really did to begin with, so I guess no one really said that it sucked, but it's still kind of sad to see this little treasure go pretty much undiscovered.

I actually came across it by accident a couple of years ago, when I was rummaging through the bargain DVD bin at Wal-Mart. I thought it looked neat, and it had some big-name celebrities cast to some of the voices, so I bought it.

I thought that the animation was really good and fluid, and the characters were fleshed out nicely, and I think that there wasn't any of them that I didn't like. The story was a bit on the predictable side, but it was good nonetheless.

I posted a thread in the general chat about gears of war 3's new trailer, and it received very little response, so I guess I'm the minority that likes this game in this social group. None of my friends play gears either.

Still, that's hard to say, not all the people here at TFF has looked at the thread. That's me considering all of the active member though.

While most of my friends didn't like it, I thought it was ok. The best parts of the film were with Samuel L. Jackson's character because he was over-the-top funny, definitetly some of the funniest scenes I have ever watched. The rest of the film didn't really do it for me.

A film that I'm the opposite of the majority would have to be Forrest Gump, it is an ok film but I don't see the "specialness" about it. I thought that Shawshank Redemption or Pulp Fiction should've won the Oscar for Best Picture.

Titanic. I thought that was a complete waste of time. The most entertaining part was the ship breaking in half and where Leonardo DiCaprio's character dies! The rest of the movie just seemed like it was dragging out the events of the sinking by making it into a bloody tedious romance film.

Another one is Citizen Kane. Its supposed to be one of the greatest movies of all time, and one you must see before you die, but to be honest I almost died of boredom watching it. Not my cup of tea at all.

The films, in particular, were so lacking in wonder and creativity. Really, the original Star Wars trilogy is the superior fantasy-based trilogy. Absent the spider Shelob, nothing in Lord of the Rings interested me at all.

I think the Dark Knight kind of sucks. The only reason why it gets so much praise is because of how much money it made in theaters, and the only reason it made so much money in theaters was because of the publicity surrounding Heath Ledger's death. It's kind of rude to say, but if Ledger didn't die, he would have never won an academy award for that role. He played a good role, but the rest of the movie was lacking, and was definitely not worthy of an academy award.

Lord of the Rings is another one. Each one of those movies is entirely overrated, despite the fact that Return of the King was honored with an academy award. Why, exactly? Was it the never-ending supply of endings? The crying midgets? The crappy CGI?

Terminator 2 is another one that is completely overrated. You got a kid who can't act, a death machine turned into a sweetheart named Uncle Bob, and a psychopathic mother who keeps saying **** in front of her ten year old son. What's to like about any of that?

I hate reality tv. I have a special hate for the judging shows. I just think that they are all fixed in some way. Judging by the ratings, I'm in a minority

I liked Equilibrium. It wasn't received well by the critics and I think it is more of a cult film, would this film count? Looking up reviews I'm surprised that Roger Ebert gave the film 3 out of 4 stars; I don't hold much stock in his reviews but I find it interesting that he scored it that high. I love Gun Kata and in that final fight sequence I can imagine the rush of having a gun pointed at your face/body inches away and trying to survive. I didn't find the acting to be bad, to me it was pretty good then again I don't stand on Mount Olympus Mons.

Also, I agree with Zargabaath, I also didn't like Forrest Gump. It was a nice movie and had some great scenes (compared to Avatar, the movie was great XD"), but it definitely isn't THAT special. ^^"

I don't think I like any movie everyone hates. ^^" I don't watch that much movies and I dislike 60% of all movies I watch. ^^"

I think Avatar is a bit tricky because it may not be that "loved". I'm inclined to believe that most people think it looked great but everything else was average and the plot was rehashed stuff. Those who don't love the movie may be a minority still, just a very large minority. Now I sit here wondering how the hell that movie got so much money. It was supposed to change movies but it is definitely not the template movie-makers should follow in making their own film. Avatar was waaaaaaaay over-hyped; are we sure that James Cameron made this film and not Peter Molyneux or that Molyneux was the head of advertisment for 20th Century Fox?

I was never really all that impressed by Titanic. I was a fan of Kate Winslett's tits, but other than that, it was 7 hours of the boat going down.

I liked Lord of the Rings, but I also felt that it was so ****ing long. The visuals were decent, but it was really all laid out by Tolkien. Whatever couldn't be man-made or already existed in nature, was replaced with green screens and cgi. Walking, walking, walking, a fight, walking, walking, Boromir dies, walking, walking, walking... you get the picture.

Also, and I know I may have to turn in my man card for this, but Predator. It wasn't a good movie. There, I said it. It was a bunch of roided up dudes with big ****ing guns trying to take out some alien creature that continually mowed them all down. Was it a fun movie, you betcha. Was it good? Not in my books.

Hmm. How about Observe and Report? While most Rogen-Apatow movies get rave reviews, this one was very criticized and made very little money at the box office. I think it is a modern-day Taxi Driver, and it made my top ten of 2009.

Everyone I know hates Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd. They said it was too musical for them, but honestly it is one of my favourite films ever, and mostly because I love the songs.

I too, like others, did not like Lord Of The Rings. When the first one came out at the cinema, I was so bored. It was far too long. If they had split it into say, 5 or 6 films it would have been better, but it was just way too long.
