Where is this magical poll you speak of? I see nothing...
The Fellowship of The Ring
Two Towers
The Return of The King
I am surprised to see there aren't any poll on this subject until now that is.
So vote your socks and shirts off boys and girls this is a mutliple choise poll.
Where is this magical poll you speak of? I see nothing...
Until now!
It's up there, I have voted already
Gee that was strange
You're making me pick? That's just wrong! I love them all. Since I have to pick one...I'll pick Return of the King. It was a wonderful film and was quite emotional for me to watch, even my brother said that and he's tough lol. It was a magical journey from movie one. I went to a LOTR marathon a couple of years ago and it went for nine hours!
Return on the King had the ultimate battle and it was just amazing to watch. I loved it. Watching Frodo destroy the ring, along with Gollum was a great scene. Aragorn becomes the King of Gondor while Arwen becomes his Queen. It's a happy ending. The hobbits are lovely creatures! They thought Frodo would never make it but he proved them wrong. Gollum is such an annoying character. He drives me insane. Sam is a nice character. I like Pippin lol.
Fellowship of the Ring would be my second favourite. It's humorous at times and just great to watch. I love the extended versions of the films. They're excellent! Peter Jackson did an GREAT job on these films, so did all of the actors and crew.
Return of the King gets my vote!
OH dear, no I did not make you pick this is a multiple choise poll.
Now, I voted for two movies and I know it's hard to pick 1 favorite amongst the three, so I decided to do a multiple choise poll as I said.
For me, it's very close between Return of the King and Fellowship of the Ring. Fellowship had a lot more adventure in it, and some fairly emotional scenes, but Return of the King had the big epic battles, the majority of the emotional spots, and... the lighting of the beacons. I LOVED that music in that scene, AND the cinematography. I also liked the scene where Aragorn is presented with the sword that was broken, by Elrond. We were sitting at the front of the theatre, so when he unsheathed it, I literally had to look up to see the whole thing.
I like Return of the King the best, because it's really Sam's moment to shine in it. It's a shame Sean Astin got snubbed at the Oskers; he didn't even get nominated for best supporting actor, or anything. I thought he did an awesome job in that roll. Although my brother thought it was cheesy, for whatever reason, I love the line "I can't carry the ring for you, but I can carry you! Come on!" Makes me tear up when I see it/hear it.
Fellowship also had Boromir's death scene, which is one of, if not the most emotional scene in the entire trilogy-along with the journey through Moria-but I think the stuff in RotK beats all that out for me.
Wuv, Yer Mom
You're talking to the biggest LotR fan here! Like the loser I am, I voted for all of them. I am not one to choose one. When someone asks me, "What is your favorite LotR movie?" I say, "All of them." Why? Because all of them were different in a way. Yes, some of the music stood the same (though, it is different in a way.) but it is all very enchanting.
Why is the Fellowship of the Ring my favorite? Okay, I know some people who only saw the first movie and didn't bother with the other two only because they found it boring, yatta yatta. PaH! When I saw the first movie, I was in awe; I always did dreamed of a fantasy world with many different races (this was before LotR came out mind you) and behold! Lord of the Rings has been released. Curiosity lead me to see this movie and when I first set my eyes on it, it was love at first sight. I loved absolutely everything about the movie; the setting, the music, the clothing, the special effects--everything! Then when it ended--what did I do? See it again until it was off theaters of course. ^^;;
Why is The Two Towers my favorite? The same reasons, but I absolutely loved the new setting of the movie. How everything was focused on the Rohirrim and the battle at Helms Deep. Even though I read the second book before watching the movie, I was still in awe when Gandalf came back. Everytime I see the movie, I always have a smile on my face because I know there will always be hope for them. You see the deep on going battle, and you think its over but nope, because there is hope. Again, I love the music (especially Gollum's song) the special effects and the new creatures that popped up. It was awesome. And yes, I did see this movie until the person who worked at the theater told me to get it out.
Ahahahaha! Return of the King! The first movie that EVER made me cry! What can I say? It's a kick ass movie, in my opinion. Again, I read the book before the movie, but I still cried when the friendship between Frodo and Sam was shattered for a moment. I cried when I believed all would be over during the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, then I cried when all the good stuff happened. And--man, I was just in tears (maybe because it was going to be the last movie as well). Even though a lot of people complained about the ending since it were really long, I still loved it. Hell, the ending was absolutely phenomenal. Everything--I can't say what--is my favorite, because it's absolutely breath taking. People in theater hated me though, because I already knew half the script when I was watching it the second time. *sigh* Lord of the Rings is my life, to this day, when I watch this movie, I still cry; and that is very rare for me. Let's face it, Return of the King was a very emotional movie...
All right, I'm going to stop there because I think people are sleeping in front of their computers right now. Hey, just be glad one didn't ask me how many LotR stuff I have. I'll be here forever x..x;

That's odd, the poll didn't show up when I looked this morning.
Anyways, I'm actually a Two Towers fan. In trilogies, I usually find the second installments to be little more than a bridge between the first and the last, but I really enjoyed the second LOTR. Helmsdeep was my love in LOTR Risk until they added Gondor and Mordor, hehe.
Until now!
Hmm well I really can say I like Fellowship the best. It kept my attention through the whole movie and I just really liked everything about it. They're all good movies but I felt that the Two Towers had a ton of fighting which to me just wasn't my sort of thing. Return of the King was also good, I just think the first one was better.
Its a same u cant vote twice in a poll then I would have selected RoTK and FoTR. The fellowship of the ring set the scene and begun the whole story. I was absolutely gutted when the third one finished. It had some awesome scenes in it! .
I heard that they are making The hobbit into a movie, so that should be fascinating.

The return of the king was the best in everything but the fellowship of the ring was the funny one. I didnt like the second one, it was boring and I disliked Gollum a lot(or however you write it, it has been a while since I dont watch that movie)

The Fellowship Of The Ring. That was the first one and since I am a big LOTR fan, watching Tolkien's universe really come alive for the first time was magical really.

How can you make me choose?!
I chose the Two Towers. That was when Eowyn came into play, and she was my favorite character in the book series. Plus it was the stepping stone into the maturity of all the characters. So, I loved it.

I really like The Return Of The King was good. It was action packed, with sword fights and what not. Plus Frodos finger gets bitten off!!!! That was a pretty supriseing part. Man that would suck, getting your finger bitten off!

I watched this movie like 2 weeks ago,
and in my opinion was the best. I thought it
closed the series pretty well, and had really dramatic
scenes, especially towards the end, in the war, and
with frodo. Undoubtedly they all were awesome though!

i liked the two towers, because i dint like the fellowship or the return!
i like the 3 LOTR one
I loved all three movies. I am an avid fantasy reader, and I've loved the fantasy world since I played FF4. The LOTR movies struck me in so many emotional levels that I can't even explain them all. Not only did I think that they were well done, even though somethings that would of been wicked to see on the big screen had to be scratched because of actual importance to the story line, but to see an epic fantasy movie left me in awe. Not many good fantasy movies have been made in the past, Dungeons and Dragons wasn't the greates movie, Dragon Heart was good, Willow, to name a few. But to see one as realistic as it could have possibly have been made, makes me shudder every time. When Fellowship ended I was in left in shock, I had to see the rest of the movies. I didn't care if a family member was dying I was going to see every movie. And to see the screen go black after Fellowship ended I cried, just cause it ended. Two Towers was so intense I sat on the edge of my seat for the whole movie. The emotional ending for Return of the King, I cried the whole time, I'll admit it, i'm not ashamed. I think these movies were the greatest epic movies ever created and it will be hard for anyone to ever top them.
I voted return of the king. THough
I personally think that the fellowship is
more fantasy and less people medieval
war like, that is the other 2. But ROTK in
my opinion is the best. I love those battle
sequences.
I absolutely loved every single one of the LOTR films. I thought the battling was great. Also, you know when you are watching a film and the talking bits come up and you find them really boring? Well in LOTR I found that the talking bits where actually really really good. I thought Gollum was brilliant. His voice had me in fits lol. I have to admit Frodo got on my nerves throughout the films because of the ring. Overall I would say it was and still is my favourite ever trilogy.
My vote went to Return of the King. I think this was easily the best one and Im not surprised it has the most votes. The battling is great and I love the way it ended. Seeing Sam Gamgee with his little hobbit family...brought a tear to my eye lol

My TFF Family:
I found the first one rather boring. The Return of the King was the best...
i like the Return of the King Extended Edition most because it shows the power of the King of Middle-Earth. The one and only Aragorn.

i personally love all of them (love the books more though). the only reason i went with the option that i did was because i love the story of the mines of moria and it my favorite part of the books (for now) and to me it was the only part that held 100% true to the books.

LOTR is bad ass. all the movies and books are great. i dont think the games are that great tho but there not terrible. the third age is ok
Wow. It's been a long time since I even thought about Lord of the Rings. They were all great movies, but the third, Return of the King, was just epic. The whole trilogy was crazy with battles, special effects, emotional stabs, and suspense, but the third really had my eyes bulging. I bought the trilogy three summers ago and sat there for ten hours straight; I watched the movies and all the extras (Other than commentary- that stuff bores me.) on my box set.
The first one was cool. It was the least crazy. It ran right up into the awesome category, but only made it to mid ranks.
The second one was great. It really started on the violence and epicness of the third movie. Felt like this one set up everything for the third.
The third one was WICKED. Loved it. I was ten. I didn't understand a lot of things in all the movies. Even though I couldn't understand a lot, this movie made me cry and jump for joy as it played. Confused as I was, I got sucked into Middle Earth with Frodo in the Fellowship, and didn't want to leave after the King came back.
I think it's the Fellowship for me.
I insist on picking one, dispite being able to pick all 3 if I wanted.
I just loved it, I still remember the atmosphere in the cinema when I went to see it. People cheering, people yelling, people crying. It was just amazing. I went to see the first showing with two of my friends and we all were just in awe at how well done it was. All the actors were just spectacular and Orlando Bloom really prooved himself in his first ever role.
The Bormomir death scene was very sad, I hated how he died and teh shock on my face when he did. It's in the second of the books so when he died in the first film I was literally like =O. We all cheered in the cinema when he was fighting even with 3 arrows in his chest.
Then again when Gandalf "died" the cinema just went completely silent. The contrast between the two deaths was another amazing moment.
So yes, the introduction to the trilogy was my favorite simply for the memory.
