Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when I woke up and was eating breakfast, and the Flintstones after I walked home from school!
sailor moon and the thunder cats oh and um i forget the name but the guy said "I HAVE THE POOOOWWWEEERRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
when I was at my grandparent's house, my grandpa and I loved watching cartoons together in the living room. That's where I watched a bunch of Looney Toons, Scooby Doo, Tom & Jerry, and other stuff as well. When Cartoon Network started becoming popular, I also liked watching the early toonami stuff mostly, like the Thundercats, SWAT Cats, Voltron, Sailor Moon, and then later on there was DBZ and Gundam Wing, which I liked as well.
†SOLDIER† - "Yep still better than you"CPC8: It's hard out here for a pimp.™
hahas, updated July 28th (oldie but goodie!):
My all time fav had to be the simpsons because they were really the only cartoon show that we had at the time because we didn't get cable til' I was around 15 or so.
I watched Digimon (the original is the best)
Dragon Ball Z(Kamehameha!!!!!)
Also Yugi-oh(Time to duel!)
Dexter's Labatory
Johnny Bravo ( one of my fav's)
Cow & Chicken
Ren & Stimpy
Cat & Dog
the original classic Pokemon
& Tenchi which I really loved!
If my request gets ignored one more time, I'm going to shut down this thread. Please heed my requests and make this topic a slightly more intelligent one than just making a plain list.
I agree with Sheena. We should discuss why we liked the cartoons and not just make a list. Come on guys. Lets do this. (Ex) I liked to watch gundam on toonami. Although I had stay up late and get in trouble to watch, Istill loved the show. I also liked cowboy bebop, THat show was amazing too. They should really make some new episodes.
SPOILER!!:
SPOILER!!:
Dragon Ball Z
It was one of those things everyone was watching at the time, and I got myself into it. I started drawing the characters from it, and collecting the cards (which have now gone missing). Eventually, it got very uninteresting and I stopped watching it.
Ed, Edd and Eddy
It was pretty dorky and funny. It annoys the hell out of me now though.
Tom and Jerry
It's a classic cartoon! How can you not love it? A family friendly Itchy and Scratchy! =D
Pokemon
Pokemon filled up my mornings before school, and one or twice made me late. I loved it, but then it stopped being shown on the channel we watched. =|
Digimon
Just like Pokemon, I loved it. But it was taken off the air.
Powerpuff Girls
"Teh poweeeeerpuff gaallllssssssss.... POWERPUFF!"
Yeah, it annoys me now. >>;;
Johnny Bravo
I thought it was okay. I consumed many hours playing some game on the Cartoon Network website based on it. ^^;;
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Turtles that live in a sewer, eat pizza and learn martial arts from an old, wise rat? What is there not to like?! (Erm, the newer stuff sucks.)
Bill and Ben the Flower Pot Men
At least I'll admit it, and say it was one of my "favourites". It got quite dry very quickly though, and wasn't a favourite for very long.
The Simpsons
Everyone watched it, and I was brought up watching it. It still is a favourite, when I am able to watch it.
Dexter's Ladoratory
"Oooooh... Wut dos this batton doooo?!" *KA-BOOM* "DEEEEEEEEEE-DEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"
*giggle*
Scooby-Doo
It was pretty fun. I annoyed my brother by singing the theme tune when it came on.
Samurai Jack
I loved it... but it only came on when my nan's programs came on, so it was very rare I did watch it. =[
Can I has cookie? Cuddle? Kiss? =D
Sorry I enjoyed the original Digimon because most of the Digimon were cute and adorable. I also liked the villans of the original series like Apoclymon and Devimon.
Yugi-oh just got me hooked on the cards and I was feared in my home town.
Dragonball Z was just so adventurous you know and I couldn't turn away like I was mesmerized by it.
Not bragging but I'm a million years old..and yes I feel it..
Space Ghost, the Herculoids...Super President, the Inhumanoids...Starcom...You can watch videos on youtube of most of these...
I know they seem somewhat dated now but back then they seemed very special...
1.) Sailor Moon: My number one "cartoon" of all time was Sailor Moon! and I shall punnish you! I used watch it everyday and never miss an episode. I think I've pretty much seen every version of Sailor Moon there is. I remamber the Whole theme sone and everything
2.) Samurai Pizza Cats: I don't remember too much of it, but I do remember what they looked liked and the "Who do you call when you need some Pepperoni? " Part. I kmow I really like this one too even though I don't remember too much.
3.) Care Bears: I don't remember too much of this one either, but I remember Care-a-lot and all the little symbols they had on their tummies
I can't remember all the names of them now, but I know I Knew them all at one point.
The last one was My Little Pony Tails and pretty much everything on
Nick and Nick Jr. like:
The busy world or Richard Scary
Little Bear
Blue's Clues ( when it was Steve) I hated that other guy -_-
Gumby
Rockko's Modern Life
Ren and Stimpy ( Happy happy Joy Joy!)
Doug
Ka Blam!!!: I loved Prometheous and Bob, and Action League Now!!!
there were more too
From Cartoon network, it was:
Two Stupid Dogs ( I are Baboon!!!)
Cow an Chicken
Dexter's Laboratory
Johnny Bravo
Toonami
everything, for a while I as obsessed with Ruroni Kenshin lol
I shall end this post on a happy note with this:

Pokemon: I'm Asian. I had to.
Digimon: I'm Asian, I had to. I liked this show better than Pokemon though, just because the characters were more interesting and had nicer hair...My infatuation with hair started with Matt. I was in love with him and Gabumon. Then in the second season when TK grew up, I was a crazy supporter of his and Kari's almost relationship. I just liked the two brothers a lot.
Duck Tales: My grandpa made recordings of old shows like this for my brother, and I ended up watching all the videos as a kid. I LOVED this show just because I loved Disney characters, and I thought Uncle Scrooge was a funny old stinger.
Recess: I just thought this was a funny show. Back then, I kept wishing I could be in the same grade as those six kids (I don't remember if they were fifth or fourth graders...). I used to show in the mornings on channel 13 for me, so I would wake up early every day to watch it before going to school.
Hey Arnold!: This, along with all other Nickelodeon shows I watched only once every two weeks because I would only be able to watch them at my dad's house, but it was still awesome. Sometimes the show got a little boring, but Arnold and Harold were pretty funky kids that kept it interesting.
Cat Dog: There was even a movie for this! I watched it! I did! Anyway, it was another funky cartoon on Nickelodeon when I was younger. I think it creeped me out some times, but Dog was so adorably stupid that I tuned in anyways. XD
Johnny Bravo: "Do the monkey!" That's one of the only things I remember from the show...There are also these other times, like when Johnny's mom tamed some gnarled up mass of hair with some hair tonic and when Johnny won a trip to a beef jerky factory by rewriting the word "really" over and over again. Stupid things made me happy...they still do.
Dexter's Laboratory: Genius kid with a funny accent! Who wouldn't like that?
Powerpuff Girls: Sugar, spice, and everything nice went into these girls. Buttercup was pretty much my idol when I was really little, and Mojojojo kind of scared me. My main reason for watching was just because it was one of the only cartoons that played late into the night on cartoon network. Disney channel and Nick at Nite did some weird things. o_O
Looney Tunes: Everyone watched Looney Tunes. It's just epically awesome..and they were on the tapes that my grandpa taped for my brother. I enjoyed watching them at my dad's house too on Sunday mornings. =D
Kids Next Door: They were cool. I wanted to be just like number 1, even though he had no hair and he never admitted when he was wrong. I don't remember what they were always doing, but it was a fun show. I loved playing the game for it on toonami.com way back when.
Sailor Moon: Once again, I'm Asian, and the random monster things and creepy people were awesome.
Dragon Ball Z:...I liked the fighting. It was the first real battle anime for me I think...and I liked the wild hair.
Animaniacs: "Okay, bye bye Lady." I watched this show just to see the crazy doctor get bashed by Yakko, Wakko, and Dot and the dog that took care of the little girl get bashed by her mom. I liked the fun amount of bashing in this show. I was a strange child...
Yu-Gi-Oh!: I was a freaking nerdy Asian. Leave me alone. >.>
Ed, Edd, and Eddy: They made jawbreakers seems so much better than they are...and I thought it was funny. Double D was a nice boy...so was Ed. Eddy was mean and I hated him. With a fiery passion.
Doug: My brother liked it, so I just sat there and watched too. I eventually grew to like it too. The movie was awesome though! I remember buying those kids meals from somewhere just so I could get that little toy of Skeeter with his flashlight. XD
Rugrats: Those were some badass babies. That's all I'm saying.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: "Heroes in a half shell! Turtle power!" Another one of my grandpa's recordings and brother's influences. They were so cute in this version...
Captain Planet: I like to recycle thanks to you Planeteers and Captain Planet. 8D
Gummy Bears: More funny cute shows. I don't remember what it was about now, but I do remember this show was another one of my grandpa's recording's that I thought was fun.
Care Bears: There were movies for this show. I think one was about a kid named...dark heart? Or cold heart? Or heartless? Or something like that. Anyway, this show was cute, and I like cute things.
Ghostbusters: This showed in the mornings on channel 13 too, so I watched it even though it scared the crap out of me. >.> I honestly don't know what I liked it so much...
Pinky and the Brain: Were they animaniacs? I don't remember, but I loved them. =D Pinky was just really cute, what with his love being a horse and his "NGARF" sound.
Damn, I watched way too much TV (no wonder I'm an idiot). I watched even more than this too, but these are the ones I really liked...I'll probably come back later and add more to this list as they come back to me .

MY ANIMES THAT I OWN.....
Hmm, let's see...:
Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. Though not strictly a cartoon, to date the best thing that Ringo Starr has done; and this includes Yellow Submarine, which we used to sing at school!
The Pink Panther. Just loved the goofy cartoons with the skinny pink cat! ^_^
Dangermouse. I bought the DVDs of this show; feel like watching them again. There are a few little jokes I didn't get first time round, if you know what I mean. I remember my mum knitted me a Dangermouse toy. I don't know where he is, though...
Tom and Jerry. I was heartbroken when my favourite tape got chewed up.
I also used to watch Power Rangers (the original series) for some ungodly reason, and also Pokemon just before leaving for school, when it was on Sky One, just after my parents got cable for the first time. Back in the days when I was addicted to MTV and Nickelodeon, and I missed my dedication on the radio, when I sent in my 3 favourites songs for the Chart of the Year.
Dragonball Z, Cow and Chicken, Ed, Edd and Eddy, Pokemon, Rocko's Modern Life, Courage The Cowardly Dog (Although it shit me up a fair bit) Shinzo, Cowboy Bebop, I Am Weasel, Catdog and Futurama. Mostly 90s CN shit really.
Dilly-dally, shilly-shally. Isn't it time you do the forgiving?
Show's that I forgot about
ThunderCat's
He-Man
Hey Arnold
Space Ghost
X-Men(old one)
wow there is too many ok i will make a start at least

and i know its not a cartoon but all brits know of chucklevision (to me to you) hahaha its still on cbbc sometimes too
Some say he's wanted by the CIA, and that he sleeps upside down like a bat... all we know is, he's called the Stig
Some say that his tears are adhesive, and that if he caught fire, he'd burn for a thousand days... all we know is, he's called the Stig.
Some say that his genitals are on upside down, and that if he could be bothered, he could crack the Da Vinci Code in 43 seconds... all we know is, he's called the Stig.
Some say that the outline of his left nipple is exactly the same shape as the Nürburgring, and that if you give him a really important job to do, he'll skive off and play croquet... all we know is, he's called the Stig.
Some say he isn't machine washable, and all his potted plants are called Steve... all we know is, he's called the Stig.
For those listing Power Rangers, I'd like to point out that it wasn't a cartoon. >_>
Also, as a child, I watched cartoons because they had bright colors and catchy music. I don't think anyone as a child would ever rationalize why they liked a cartoon beyond that. I watched what was on when I came home from school because there was only like one option anyways.
You will notice a recurring theme in my list, though. I started my love of fantasy early.
Early childhood favorites included Rainbow Brite, My Little Pony and the movie The Last Unicorn. These are three earliest shows/movie I remember watching.
From there I progressed to shows like Thundercats, Herculoids, Johnny Quest, Captain Planet, and Pirates of Dark Water. And Godzilla. And the Turtles, of course. Hmm...perhaps I gained an early interest in mythology here.
Around the time when Pokemon started its original run here in the States is when I began converting to anime. Pokemon, Digimon, Monster Rancher. Outlaw Star, Tenchi, Ronin Warriors, DBZ which I only watched because my best friend loved the show. Toonami was the source of afternoon entertainment in those days and yes, even I watched a little Sailor Moon once in awhile. Mostly because I liked Helios who wasn't even human. >.> Oh and Cardcaptors on Saturday mornings. Lots of shows with monsters and nonhuman characters, again reflecting my interest in fantasy and some science fiction.
There were other cartoons, of course. Many, many others. Those listed above are those that left the strongest impressions on me, ie the ones I still remember years and years afterward.
Ever go back and Youtube some of the shows you used to watch, especially the really early ones? I did that with Rainbow Brite awhile back. It was...interesting. As in, no wonder why I'm so warped, wtf was that?!

Family: Psiko, Mistress Sheena, Djinn
Hmmmmm!
I loved TMNT, Rainbow Brite, Jem and the Holograms (? I think that's what they were called... I had the "Barbie" version of Synergy). I would watch Teddy Ruxpin if there wasn't anything else on. Didn't Popples have a cartoon as well?
OH! My Pet Monster was a big fave as well! <3 Inspector Gadget. Occasionally I'd watch Care Bears too I suppose.
Edit!
I totally forgot about He Man and She Ra. I totally wanted them to get married when I was a kid. Clearly not realizing the implications considering they were cousins!
I loved Rocko's Modern Life, Ren & Stimpy, Talespin, Gargoyles, Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Ducktales, Sonic the Hedgehog (either one at the time) Captain N: The Game Master, Gummi Bears, Pirates of the Dark Waters (I think it was called. And from the looks of it, the show was canceled after the first 13 episodes or so, as they only seemed to show episodes up to that point.) I'd be lying if I didn't say TMNT (although by the time I was in third grade, I'd decided they weren't cool anymore, I think) X-Men was awesome (the one on Fox Kids). Much later, there was Poke Manz and Pinky & the Brain in the afternoons, and Digimon on Saturday mornings. Aladdin was pretty good, too. Or how about Mighty Max? Later, I also liked Bobby's World and Rugrats (yes, later.) Or Eek! The Cat. And earlier, Robotech and Transformers.
That was kinda a list, eh? (Or a rambling, as names came to mind.) Furthermore, I noticed someone called Power Rangers a cartoon. ...live action? Not a cartoon? Eh. What do I know. Anyhoo...
Wuv, Yer Mom
*Eek! The Cat
*The Critic
*Dragon Ball Z
*Bump In The Night
*The Real Ghostbusters

I call out these prayers to the sky, heavy with thought, see your face.
I carry these memories inside, thoughts of a soul colored by love.
See me grow wings and fly high, passions will die down below.
I burn in a basin of fire, watchers look on as they dance in their merciless sky.
Watching me, watching you.

Doug
Catdog
Hey arnold
AAAHHHHHH Real Monsters (isn't that what it's called?)
Pokemon
I'm sure there's more.
yes and yes.
I grew up on he-man and the masters of the universe, even when i was 18 i watched the remake of the show in 2002 which was awesome for action, but for a show that i would show kids that has actions and good morals then i would go for the classic show. she-ra was a great follow up and a solid story to follow
Thundercats
barely remember watching it all the time but i have 3 vhs tapes that say otherwise
GI Joe
Classic show and i liked the action, always wanted to fly a jet fighter and take down cobra.
Transformer
watched that show for optimus prime, nuff said, i liked the fact he was red.
Fat Albert and the cosby kids
i remember the show cause of bill cosby and a fat kid wearing a red sweater. they were in a junkyard. and played music which i danced too. thats how i were to remember it from my child hood, now i watch them as an adult.
Bugs Bunny and tweety show
its looney toons, best thing in early 90's saturday morning. it was always the jokes that they did, from then on i love lame puns.
Inspector Gadget
don adams, best job since being maxwell smart from get smart. ILL GET YOU GADGET! NEXT TIME! <cat screams>
thats all i can recall watching, if i remember more ill post an edit.
