(I'm curious how much this has caught on among the TFF crowd.)

Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog is a musical starring Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible, Nathan Fillion as Captain Hammer, and Felicia Day as Penny. It was directed by Joss Whedon of Buffy, Angel, and Firefly fame, written in collaboration with his brothers Jed and Zack Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen.

It was conceived during the writer's strike and filmed independently this past spring with a total cost of about $100,000. It was created to prove that quality, successful film does not require a studio behind it. It was released for free viewing on July 15, starting with episode 1 of 3. It was so popular that it crashed the servers. It's now available on iTunes for purchase, but you can still view it for free.

Due to it's success, there are plans to make a 4th episode, release a DVD, and an OST CD.

Now, you may have noticed that I've told you nothing about what happens in the musical. That's because YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT! There is nothing I could say that would properly describe it or do it justice, and I am vehemently against spoilers. (On that note, anything after this post should be considered spoilers.)
