Deadwood

Deadwood is a TV series about the settlement of Deadwood during the 1870s, just before and after it was annexed by the Territory of Dakota. It is essentially a Western historical drama.

Now that I've seen the first 9 episodes of the first season, I feel like I can say: This series is really good. The acting is sublime, and the realism of the whole thing is stunning, both in looks and story. There are a lot of characters based on historical figures who actually lived in Deadwood.

So does anyone else watch this thing?
If so, what aspects of the show do you like?
