On screen recording programs?

I was wondering if anyone knew what's the best on screen recording program, I'm trying LiteCAM and it's really easy to use but I don't like the advertisements that show up on my videos. Also, it's really hard to get this one to fit to screen, or the area I'm recording.

I might try Cam studio...

Any suggestions?

Cam Studio is good. It's what one of my favorite LPers uses. Although I'm going to be trying Corel VideoStudio. xD

I remember using one called Hypercam. As i recall, it was very easy to use and had no advertisments. This was over a year ago though so this may have changed now.

Have you tried fraps?

The last time I used it it only left a little fraps watermark in the corner of recordings.

^ I have, but the only problem I have with fraps is that it's not free er I don't think. I could probably find it if I did some digging online.

I tried the 1.9D but the settings are limited because it's older I guess, so it doesn't record too well :s

I'm still playing with cam studio.

Fraps is free. The non-free fraps doesn't have the watermark. The free fraps does.
You can always get it through other means anyway if you want. xD

I did I got it from Che XD Camstudio is working fine for now, but still has a lagging problem with some games :s

Fraps I can't get to work yet, I think it might need more power than what my laptop generates lol
