    PS3 capped out.

So yes after a while of owning my 40 gig PS3 I managed to reduce my hardrive to no availible room what so ever.

I have deleted anything that wasn't replaceable minus game saves and managed to recoop to 6737 mb / 55GB. After reducing my system to the core and only gaining 6300MB I have deduced that massive upgrades now occupy most of my hard drive. A lot more then the initial 15 GB the system was suppose to eat for functionality.

Now I don't want to delete anymore game data saves. Any ideas on how to free up some space that has effective for other PS3 owners that doesn't involve killing tons of hours of game play saves?

I recommend buying a bigger hard drive, using a USB drive to back everything up, installing the new her and then restoring from the USB drive.

It's how I upgraded to a 750gb drive, totally worth it. 40gb is crazy small and bigger hard drives are quite cheap these days.
