Lately on my MSN homepage there has been an advertisement for the IE 9. I've had a read through it and think it sounds alright, and I'm quite tempted to give it ago.
Has anyone else installed IE 9? If so, do you think it's any good?
Also, can I have two internet browers on my laptop,? Install IE 9 and keep Firefox (just incase I don't like the new IE)

Once you go Chrome, you don't go back.
No matter what, Internet Explorer is incredibly slow. And it always looks bulky on my monitor. I might give it a go just to see, but Chrome is my baby.
And yep, you can have more than one installed at the same time. I've had IE, Chrome and Firefox installed on this computer when I was website testing for college.
I have IE 9, Chrome, Opera and Firefox all installed and fully updated. Personally, I use chrome/firefox just because it's faster, preferences are easier to save and it's not as bothersome. IE 9 is laggy and not very efficient (same problem with all other IE's...) and Opera is there just as a fail-safe for if my others dont seem to work.
EDIT. To go more into detail on that last bit, if I encounter a problem on the web that seems odd, I use Opera as a second check to see if it's the web or my own personal settings. It usually ends up i need to clean my cache/cookies, lol.

For the other browsers I always test with the latest version. People who use those typically upgrade more or are automatically upgraded by the browser(why doesn't IE do this...)
IE is pretty damn good for downloading chrome after you reformat.
Damn right. One of the bad things about being a web dev is I have every major flavor of browser installed on my computer. It's funny when someone visits though. First question when they look at my screens is why I have four different types of browsers open all to the same thing. Either that or "Wow, what are those other browsers? I've never seen them before!"
Turn out I have two browser already, the IE that came on the laptop and the Firefox I installed
Anyway, I tried IE9, it just chnged the IE I already had, and I hate it!!
I top-up my gas and electric on my suppliers website, but when I tried to do that after I installed IE9, it said the website didn't support my browser version, so now I can't use my top-up site and I don't know how to get rid of IE9 and get my old IE bak

If it is like the previous versions, the only way to get rid of it completely and cleanly is to re-install Windows. It becomes embedded into the OS kernel...
