Well, with the ranking system, I was thinking we could have a bunch of different tags for each rank. Instead of being different, they would be the same... just with the members' name on it. Maybe with the rank name on it as well?

    I'm not sure. Hollow?
Anyway, sorry for my inactivity over the past few days. I've been busy with TFF business and downloading the Silent Hill movie. ^^; A friend gave it, so I couldn't resist.

I'll be more active later today when the film time ends. I'll look at that site there as well.

I think the signatures should go with whatever the rank's title may be. Also, we should put the member's name in it somewhere. The picture will probably also go along with the rank. Don't worry, they won't be stupid! I promise you that!

At the end of each Silent Hill game, there is a screen (after the credits) that tells you your score and how you did in certain parts of the game. Get a picture of that and it will be sufficient. Cool?

The film based on the popular videogame series about a distorted ghost town that's trapped between different dimensions and time periods will feature a host of bonus materials and extra features, and will be available for the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) of $28.95. The film will also be available for Blu-ray at the MSRP of $38.95, and PSP UMD for the MSRP of $28.95.

The Silent Hill DVD will feature the following bonus materials:

    * Path of Darkness: Six Silent Hill Theatrical Filming Production Diaries
    * Part One: Origins of Silent Hill
    * Part Two: Casting the film
    * Part Three: Building Silent Hill (the town)
    * Part Four: Stars and Stunts
    * Part Five: Creature Choreography
    * Part Six: Constructing the Creepy Creatures from the film
So it looks like August 22nd (at least here in the states anyway...that I know of). I highly doubt it will cost as much as they are saying, though. It's just the suggested retail price. I'm sure it will be $19.99.

Anyway, here is a picture of the official DVD artwork for the movie. I was expecting something a little different, though...

Wow, that SH news sounds great!

I'm actually a little disappointed with the artwork, though... I was expecting something darker, with a rusty/bloody effect. Maybe I'm just talking out of my ass, though...

Sevion, exactly! It looks a little... Resident Evil-ish?
No disrespect to Resident Evil, but I'd call that very action type, whereas Silent Hill is MEANT to be based off phsycoligcal horror. That artwork bought no creepies to me. Instead it was... to be honest... a little bland.

I was hoping that the cover artwork for the dvd would have been the picture of the Silent Hill town sign and the main character walking to the left. You've probably seen the picture that I'm talking about.

Or...plaster it with Heather Morris, though she's not even in the film...

There were two posters for this movie. I got one of them from a friend. The HUGE theater poster. It's the one with (I'll just call her "the girl" as to not ruin the movie for those who haven't seen it) "the girl" on the front with no mouth. I wish I had the one that has the picture of the city. Man that would be sweet.

I'm still counting down the days for my copy of the Silent Hill Experience to come in! I get my PSP this Friday if all goes according to plan!

    *EDIT*

I've got a little bit more news about the Silent Hill series, but I'm waiting to spread it out a bit, you know?

Also, when the Silent Hill Experience comes in, I'll tell you guys all about it and if it's worth picking up or not!

I have the Silent Hill Experience.

And yes, I know which picture you are speaking of. Rose. Waiting past the sign for "Welcome To Silent Hill." Yep.

I need SH posters! I wonder where I could find one. *Shall go to HMV next month*. =D

Go with Ebay and get it soon! Once August 22nd hits, it's going to be another wave of impossibility with finding anything related to Silent Hill. It's going to be a nightmare. I hope to have the first Silent Hill by then. At that point, I'll be completely caught up!

But yeah...hurry up and start buying the stuff you want now, guys (and girls)!

Yeah, argh. So much to buy... such shortage of money!

In any case, I am sat here drawing more SH pictures. I have quite a few now. Including naked nurse pictures, Pyramid Head, Pyramid head raping things, mannequins... haha... I'm obssessed...

My digital camera is broken... I dunno what's wrong with it. I'm hoping to get it fixed soon... I really need to get it working since I'm going away next month I wanna grab some shots of my boyfriend and me together.
Anyway, though, WHEN I get it fixed, I'll show some of my work here, of course... not the more mature pictures, as I would earn a warning for posting indecent imagery. xD

I've seen the Centralia town before. It's in Pennsylvania. I wouldn't mind going there if it weren't for the risk of damage to my lungs. I think the coolest picture is the one of the road like ****ing split.

Oh, I read a bit more about Silent Hill "Origins". It's going to be for the PSP, which is good, because I just picked one up today. I already put Milla Jovovich as my background.

Anyway, now I'm just waiting on the Silent Hill Experience to arrive at my house. Before we know it, the movie will be released. Now, being the good little consumer that I am, I will have to pick it up on UMD and DVD as well. Looking foward to it.

I'd go to Centralia despite the risk of getting my lungs massecred. I loved the road split pictures as well. VERY Silent Hill.

Origins? Huh? I thought that was like Silent Hill Experience?
    What's the difference, anyways?

I'll have to pick that up! Even though I'm still broke. =D

Anyway, though, I'm really hoping to get a PSP for my birthday next month. If I don't, I shall be a sad kitten. Mainly because I'm itching to watch it.

I'm still confused about Origins, though. I may look that up in a moment.

Silent Hill "Origins" (which is just the temporary title as of right now) is 100% playable (and sadly, not released yet). It's for the PSP. I read a big story on it not long ago at IGN, but I forgot alot of the details. I know that you are a truck driver making a routine delivery when you drive through Silent Hill.

The main character (I forgot his damned name) has has a past crammed full of psychological problems, so each of the creatures represent that quality in some way. A few of the designs for it look pretty sweet. I'm psyched about it coming out.

Thanks for the trailer, it looks quite good and I can't wait for it to come out.

That town looks evil especially the kinks in the road. I wonder if it has the mist floating around, I would feel rather weird to stay living in such a town. But I must admit there is something really unique about Silent Hill, the movie seems to help further display the image of Silent Hill.

If you guys ever go there you have to show us some pictures, I wonder if there would be any pretty intense displays inside the buildings. I would love to go to but sadly I am too far away.

I think I might be the only American member in here, but then again, I think Lai Lai Hei is, too. Anyhow, all of you guys outside of the states should just fly over here and we can all check out the different Silent Hill locations.

Hell, I flew to England for no reason other than to visit some friends. Nothing more. You guys can fly here!

Hollow, Origins sounds awesome! I'll have to pick it up.

WM - Yeah, I thought that was pretty cool, too! There is a "misty/foggy" look about Centralia, but I'm figuring it's only from intense amounts of smoke. Other then that, I'm guessing there's not that much fog. Although, admittedly, I'd love to go there -- while it's lightly raining, maybe thundering... I don't know why, but that would just seriously heighten the experience.

Hollow, haha. Travelling to America for me isn't as easy as it sounds. I'm constantly broke and I've never travelled abroad alone. (Probably because I've been broke for ages and never considered travelling by myself).

Yep, born 'n raised in the States. Visiting those places would be absolutely fantamazing. I live close enough to New England to make a weekend out of it.

Anyway, as for my progress. I've been pretty (read:extremely) busy lately between work and night classes, so I don't have all too much time to play, but I've gotten up to level two in SH4. Which means I'm up to Wish House. I immediately thought of you guys. I couldn't remember what to do, so I didn't save and just shut it off. I'll try again later.

    Glad I could help.

In any case, you remember where to use the spade, yeah?

    If not, it's...

    Spoiler:
That tree root. Remember? You get that key, that loops the screen a lot... You gotta go to that hole north of the area you grab the key... Put it in your box, then go through the hole, walk to Wish House, go to the hole again, grab the key and then go back to forest world with the key.

I remember this because it took me ages to figure it out on my first time playing...

    Anyway, though.
Let's think of a new subject?
Also, Hollow, before I start on a new topic, are we going to start this ranking system, soon? If so, I think you should edit the first post to put all the ranking stuff in there...It'd help us keep track on who has how many points, etc.

Anyway. For all that have played SH4: The Room, what was the worst world for you?

SH4: The Room questions! (You don't have to answer all of the questions, but try to answer at least three or four.)

Which was the most boring world?
    Which was the scariest world?
    Which was the hardest world?
Which was the most confusing world?
Which was the most fun world?
Which was the least scary world?
    Which was the easiest world?
Which world had the scariest sounds/music?
Which world had the nicest/least scary sounds/music?
Which was the hardest battle/point in the game? (Not counting worlds).
Which weapons did you use to complete the game?
Which was the most confusing point in the game? (Not counting worlds).
Did you find the last boss hard? (Please use the spoiler tag if you are going to reveal wat/who this boss is.)
Did you find the last boss confusing?
Which was the worst world for you?
    Did you like the storylines?
    Favourite character and why?
    Least favourite character and why?
Most scary point in the game? Not including worlds.

I know they're a lot of questions, but in the end, it's makes for a good topic, and will give us a LOAD of long, lengthy posts!
Also, just a quick reminder, to anybody giving spoilers, plase use the spoiler tags provided for the forum...Thanks! ( [spoil.], [/spoil.] ) -- without the dots.

    Anyway, I'll get started:

Which was the most boring world?
I think it had to be Hospital World. It was tedious going through all of those rooms, especially since there was a random room thing in that corridor with all the doors in it... which pretty much meant you HAVE to go through each door until you found the right one, even if you didn't want to. I felt it was boring because it wasn't really all that thrilling to be there. The only good part about that point in the game for me was...
    Spoiler:
When I finally met up with Eileen!

    Which was the scariest world?
It's a tie between a few of the worlds...In first place, I think it'd have to be Hospital world.
Why? Those nurse/patients. Those things literally terrify me. THANKFULLY there were no ghosts in this world, as the victim/ghosts really frighten me as well.
The next would be Apartment world 2. Why? Five nurses in one corridor. After you get over the initial shock of having to kill all of these horrible, terrifying things, it takes ages to kill them and you can die easily off them with a few hits, even if you're on Easy mode. Also, this is scary because some of the corridors have those horrible vitcims in them! I hate victims!

    Which was the hardest world?
It's hard to say really, since I didn't have too many problems beating this game. I think the hardest world would have to be either Apartment World Revisited because of all of the nurses and ghosts. Or Shopping Complex world 1 and 2. Those monkey things with the pipes are really hard to kill if you're not using your pistol!
Gameplay wise, Water Prison world takes the cake. Mainly because it was confusing for me. Walking through all those corridors with the scary noises.

Which was the most confusing world?
Water prison world! Arrrrrghhh! This world, with all of the winding corridors?! BAH!! I got sooo confused the first times in completing this! (By times, I'm counting Water Prison world, and Water Prison world revisited).

Which was the most fun world?
I enjoyed Forest world 1. It was quite calming because of the fact there weren't really many monsters to kill. I found walking through the forest scary but fun as well! I was frightened of any ghosts that followed me around, but I feel it was really fun and I really enjoyed it.

Which was the least scary world?
Forest World 1. It was easy, and watching Jasper burn was sort of hilarious. I really didn't like him, in case you didn't notice. There was nothing really here that scared me apart from a few ghosts and horrible noises.

    Which was the easiest world?
Probably Forest World 1. There wasn't much to kill, plus the only thing slightly confusing about it was finding that key and getting the riddle with it right.
Also, another easy world is Forest World revisited. Probably because the only thing you really had to do was find the parts for the doll.

Which world had the scariest sounds/music?
WATER PRISON WORLD!! Oh my god! The noises here were terrifying! Does anybody remember those long winding corridors, that sound like there were men moaning in there? (Non-sexual thinking, people). If you listened closely it sounded like a power tool or a digeredoo, but it was seriously freaky. Water Prison world 1 and 2 for me.

Which world had the nicest/least scary sounds/music?
For me, I would have to say Apartment World revisited. After that thing with Eileen, there's very calming music. It reminds me of the quoted "calm before the storm"... because if anybody remembers, that was the bit just before you had to...
    Spoiler:
Go up against the last boss,
    Spoiler:
    Walter Sullivan!

Which was the hardest battle/point in the game? (Not counting worlds).
The hardest battle would be that battle in the corridor in Apartment World revisited. There were five nurses in there and it was very difficult to manouvere around them if you tried. So basically you had to stay in one place, trying to hit them if they came to close.
Another part would be that room in Shopping Complex world with all of the sliding wall men. Although this didn't seem too difficult, I had a hard time finding the right one!

Which weapons did you use to complete the game?
Funny story, actually. The first time I played through the game, I used nothing but my sewer pipe, occasionally switching to a golf club and the axe... It was actually one of the hardest ways to finish the game, but I managed it! I didn't die once, either, until the end boss, when I couldn't figure out how to kill it! I eventually got it and beat the game. I was in Easy Mode and I got the ending where...
    Spoiler:
Eileen died and Henry heard about it on the radio. I had cleared out my apartment, though, so I got second to worst ending, hahaha...

Which was the most confusing point in the game? (Not counting worlds).
It had to be that part where you were going in and out of those hospital rooms. If not that, then the Water Prison winding corridors.

Did you find the last boss hard? (Please use the spoiler tag if you are going to reveal what/who this boss is.)
Not really, after I knew what to do. Although unfortunately, Eileen was majorly injured, so it didn't take long for...
    Spoiler:
Her to walk into the spinning death machine.

Did you find the last boss confusing?
A little bit at first. I couldn't figure out how to kill the bugger! After about two tries, I realised what I had to do and I beat it easily.

Which was the worst world for you?
For me, personally... Hospital world. It just terrified me, and not in that good Silent Hill kind of way. Although I loved the morbidity of the hospital, I disliked those horrible nurses lurking everywhere without you even having a radio to know where they were. It really frightened me and I often dread it when I have to go through it.

    Did you like the storylines?
Anybody who knows me, knows I absolutely adore Silent Hill storylines. And Silent Hill 4: The Room, in my personal opinion, had the second best set of storylines in the series. In first place, Silent Hill 2, but close behind is Silent Hill 4: The Room. People often ask me why I enjoy these storylines, and I'll tell you.
I thought the way Walter Sullivan's life had panned out was really something deep and emotional. The lengths he went to, to attempt the...
    Spoiler:
Restoration of the Room (302), which he had been led to believe was his mother!

was so upsetting. Because he literally thought that...
    Spoiler:
His mother wanted to see him, when really... she didn't want him at all. Hence the abandonment of him as a baby...

I loved Walter Sullivan's determination, even though he was a little insane, and was mentally unstable to some extent... I don't feel he saw what he did was that wrong. Although it's true that he killed children in his past (see apartment dumpster in Silent Hill 2 for details), I think all he really wanted, was to get his mother back. I felt really emotional when I examined the childs' colouring book to see the picture of Walters' supposed "father".

    Favourite character and why?
My favourite character was Walter Sullivan, and a lot of it is to do with the above. The way his determination drove him and the way he wouldn't stop,
    Spoiler:
    even in death

, to get what he needed.

I also liked Henry. He was very calm about the whole situation, it seemed, and he was always in control when he was faced with some kind of hardship. His voice was very calm and soothing as well, and the way he kept his cool was unbelievable but in a good way. Henry was an excellent character.

I also liked Eileen. I felt sorry for her, I guess. Because she, out of everyone in the story, and Henry, were thes least likely to deserve to be bought into Walters' troubled situation, and the fact they got caught up in this web of insecuirty was upsetting. A lot of people disliked Eileen, but I thought she was nice.

    Least favourite character and why?
I hated Andrew. The things he did were horrible and he was a disgusting excuse for a human being.

I didn't like Cynthia or Jasper, either. Although I hated Richard Braintree. He was horrible to little Walter Sullivan and that upset me quite a bit.

    Last but not least:

Most scary point in the game? Not including worlds.
Man, I hated that bit with Jasper. Y'know, in Forest World revisited, when you see him...
    Spoiler:
    On fire, flying toward you!

Oh my god, talk about frightening. I disliked every single one of the victims that you saw die. Putting them on the ground for good was hard, too.
    Also, any part with nurses.

--That was like an essay. You don't need to give a massively long reply like I did, nor do you need to answer all of the questions, but it'd be nice to get back something moderately lengthy. XD
Thanks for reading, if you made it to the end of this post! xD

It's got a small population because of the fires burning underground... just like in Silent Hill.... it was definately based off Centrailia, but it's unknown if "hauntings" wreck through the place...It'd be a cool place to go, though.

Well I started to play it again but kind of got confused...

    Spoiler:
I Just finished the bit with Angela and it the sexual frustration thing is starting to slowly make sense, I will give a better comment at the end of the game but from what I saw in the room with those moving things in the wall seemed to represent that she is surrounded by people who rape her, hence why she reacted the way she did. Also I wonder if she meant anything about when she yelled out liar. But yeah, please try not to give to much away

    also...

    Spoiler:
The bit I am up to right now is where I need to figure out that noose puzzle, I read the riddle twice but didn't quite understand it properly BUT I think I have an idea how it works just not the proper order to do it in. I was going to look at a walkthru but I feel it'd be better if I try and figure it out for myself. Also I kept getting confused going through the Labyrinth, I kept losing my place and retracing my steps only to run into Pyramid Head, is there any particular reason he is down there? The monster with Angela seemed a bit like him but differant.

Chez, that's a HUGE post up there. Sorry I've been away for a few days, my mouse has been destroyed and I've been tabbing around to get to sites that I want to go to. Anyway, new mouse...it works.

    *EDIT*

Onto Silent Hill oriented content, I'm starting to get worried that I got ****ed when I bought the Silent Hill Experience. It still hasn't arrived and I'm beginning to wonder if it ever will. I'll give it until Friday. If it isn't here, someone's going to face the wrath of Bryan.

Yeah, it was a large post because I was hoping for some replies, but I guess not.

Anyway, though. My Silent Hill experience is tucked saftly on the bottom part of my shelf with my SH games.

Chez doesn't RP as I asked her to join my old one. I dunno about the others but anyway I will try and post in it today but try not to rush into it too much otherwise it doesn't seem that great no offense. May I suggest that thread Dragonheart I think made? Well not so much you as that other guy.
