So I wound up getting SH2 Greatest Hits and another little gem for Christmas. I'm actually wearing it now. It's got Heater Morris (really big on the shirt) all the way down the side, aiming a gun and says "Silent Hill" on the back.
Pretty psyched about this shirt. Not going to lie.

Maria's story is freakin short. I haven't finished it yet, but I skimmed through a walkthrough for it and it doesn't look like it's very long. I've only been playing it for about 20 minutes. I'll probably finish it tonight.

Yea Maria's Sub-story dissapointed me, untill the end of it. It added a new twist to the story so that was cool. It also makes you think maria isn't just made up in james's..(jameses..w/e) mind. I always thought she was just his mind, what he wnated from Mary, but getting to play her makes me wonder.

...To make James guilty for what he did to Mary. I don't really think he wanted Maria's traits, since he, in most of the endings, just wanted to his wife.
Unfortunately, it was too late, but I'd have liked to known that James had kept his wife in mind always.
You need to remember that Mary's illness disfigured her and caused her to have violent mood swings, so that's probably one reason as to why James was pushed away from her a little.

I think Maria's story is exclusive to the Xbox realease of the game, unfortunatley. I'm going to have to check around and see if the PC version might have it.

On topic note though, I just finished looking around about the Maria minigame. It was indeed an added option a bit after the game came out, which I probably did not get with my copy since I got it on release day for the PS2.
I'm guessing it was added on for the PS2 version of the initial Europe release though since it came out about 2 months or so after the U.S/Japan release. Ah well, appearently it's no big deal but I would've enjoyed it no less.

As far as I know, the Maria story is only on the Xbox version and the Greatest Hits version of SH2. I own both versions of SH2 now and the black label version doesn't contain Maria's story.
Like I said, Maria's story isn't very long and it's not very difficult (so far). I'm not sure if there are even any bosses that she encounters.

Well you don't have to play threw the game to get the side quest, but you can beat the sidequest is 11 minutes. I've been busy with trauma center and zelda: twilight princess on the Wii lately, I tried to play SH1 yesterday but couldn't for long. Tommorow I will have a silent hill new years eve!

They may not be done for a while, since I need to install the camera and buy some shoes that look like Heathers, but once that's done, I'll get you guys some piccies!
I already have Maria's boots and top done. I don't have a skirt like hers, but I'll improvise.
I plan on doing Heather, Maria and Eileen, since I have clothes like theirs. I was thinking of doing Cynthia, but her sluttishness would probably earn me a few creepy fans... heh.

What about Lisa? Somebody needs to dress up as Lisa! I just love that piece that plays, its rather a simple song to play but still fairly good.
I want to watch the Silent Hill movie again but I am waiting to see if my mates coming down or what as he was the one who got me into the series in the first place. Probably go through 2 again with him or perhaps start 3 but for now I am busy with other games.

Really, I wonder what they are gonna base it off of. the couldn;t base it off of Silent Hill 2, because they already put pyramid head in there and some of the story had to do with silent hill 2 things. Maybe they will base it off of three, but I hope they don't just go off of the first one and make an entirely different movie from the games.

Since it said "correct all of the mistakes from the first film", I'm detecting a spin-off of some Silent Hill 3 references, since Silent Hill 1 and 3 are tightly linked. Perhaps not, though, there are no really cool-looking enemies from Silent Hill 3 apart from the nurses... Hmm!
I'm a little nervous about what this means though, since they used a lot of the cooler references in the first movie.
Although at the same time, I'd love to see a Silent Hill 2 movie!

I don't think I've ever seen the monster that you're talking about, so you should definitely post it. I'd like to see it.
It's going to be difficult for them to make a second movie, to be honest. I mean, they took so much from every one of the games that it would be difficult to make another film so true to the games without reusing something from the first film, you know?
