After I go through the hospital in SH2, I'll let you know if it's worse than it is in SH3 or not. Hopefully you'll have SH3 working for you by then, though. I'm not sure if the nurses are in SH2 or not, but they're in SH3. Oh...they are loads of fun and there are plenty of them.
Also, the Insane Cancers are tough, too. They can take alot of bullets to finally wipe out. There are certain scenes in SH3 at the hospital are just scary as hell alone. The wheelchair part...that's all I'm saying. That shit...is ****ed up, man. You'll see, though.

OHHHHHH!!! Those aren't nurses, you big crazy! Those are patients. I remember those now...they make the burping noises when you hit them. I remember them now. Those things were HUGE!
BUT back to the nurses and how bad I am going to regret not being able to see your face when one of them comes "walking" around a corner at you. Ohhhh, man. Here is a nice description that I found of them, it's a better description of them than I could give you...CUE SPOILER TAGS!!!
Spoiler: Nurses all have the same bizarre, badly made-up face, and some also carry revolvers. Make panting sounds when alive and strange squishing sounds every time they walk. On their face, it appears they have either vomited up blood or have been feeding on a bloody carcass, as blood is spattered all around their mouth. Make realistic screaming sounds when hurt. If the perfume is equipped, supposedly, they attack in greater numbers. Their skin is nearly white.

The nurses are up there as one of the scariest creatures in the Silent Hill series, in my opinion.
Spoiler: You do have a slight advantage on the gun slinging nurses, though. Once they hold up their gun, they will take a second to try and aim at you. Just get out of the way, because those guns pack a nice punch.
Plus, they make a distinct noise in SH3 that you'll notice as soon as you walk into a door....and it's ****ing creepy. I'm not going to tell you what it is, though. The description above of the nurses in SH3 was done well when it comes to how they look, but not how they sound.
It's a pretty ****ed up sound, but you'll get used to it!
I think the thing that bothers me the most is the "T" in a hallway and as you approach it, your radio starts going crazy. I hate not knowing which direction the creature is in, but that is the beauty of Silent Hill.

Ohhh, man I can't wait for you to play SH3. I think they took into consideration that there are people that will actually wait for the creatures to come to them, so they made a few changes. There is one creature that comes to mind in SH3 that will not come to you, but your radio will be going crazy when you get by one.
It won't even get up until you get close to it and when you do and it gets up, take several....several steps back, because you're going to be pumping alot of bullets into that bad son of a bitch. I definitely would not suggest any melee weapons against these guys, but again, I'm not going to tell you which creature this is. You'll find out in the long run!

True, they don't look all that bad in pictures, but they've got some moves that will scare you. Believe me.
The only cosplay pictures that I've seen were pretty terrible and they were of the nurses. They looked like shit, seriously. The dresses they were wearing weren't even dirty (the had blood on them, but it was all bright red and fake looking). Hmmmmm....I'm trying to think of the other fun stuff in SH3 that you might really like, Chez.
OH! My favorite part in the game is the haunted house in Lakeside Amusement Park. It's pretty short and there isn't much to it, but it's still really cool. I liked the idea of putting a haunted house in SH3. It really throws you off. I'll have to go more into detail about that once you play it, though.

Yeah, its Cosplay but most of the Cosplay images I have seen sucked except 1 of Cybil was pretty good.
Anyway what do you guys think of the SH roleplay? Unfortunatly the others aren't posting enough for me to go on but I have a few interesting concepts I want to put through the story.
I played the opening of SH3 with the dream or something, I dunno what was meant to happen but I got killed by that dog then I woke up just fine where as my mate killed the monster/dog but he didn't know what to do so he tried to get killed too but he couldn't.
Oh and you know my situation on the movie.

To be honest, when I first saw the previews, I didn't think it would be all that good. They didn't really give much away. No creatures or anything (at least not in the trailers that I had seen). When I went and watched it, I was truely suprised at how good of a movie it was. Even more impressed that it stuck so close to the games.
As for Pyramid Head, I don't really know yet, to be honest. I just started playing SH2 and I've only encountered him twice. I'll be able to answer that one a bit better once I've went up against him again.
I haven't really thought about SH roleplay, but I supposed it could be done. I just wouldn't know where to start. I'm curious to see what ideas you have, though. I know there is (or was) a Silent Hill RP thread around here somewhere. I'm not sure if it is still around or not.
Just a couple more quick things. I'm really tired. It's like...9:00 AM here and I haven't slept yet. I went to bed around four-ish. No sleep yet and I start at Gamestop today. Fun!
On the bright side, last night a friend of mine who is huge into horror films gave me a huge theater poster of Silent Hill. It's all shiny and double sided. My poster smuggler (or as we'll refer to him: "C" to protect his identity) from Texas wasn't able to get one of these posters. He came through for me with the Underworld Evolution poster, though. I can't complain...this time.
...but yeah. My eyes feel like they're on fire from sleep deprivation, so I'm going to go and try to get at least a couple of hours of sleep in before work. Tired...

Working at Gamestop is the shit, first off. Today, some guy came in with the HDD that comes with FFXI and wanted to sell it for store credit. Well, Gamestop doesn't take HDDs, so he just said, "I don't want it, you guys can have it."
Me being a die hard Sony fan, I was all over it. The guy didn't even open the box except to take FFXI out! Free!
Spam aside, some guy came in today asking if we had the first Silent Hill. The three of us just laughed and told him no. The poor guy has no idea how hard it is to get a copy of that game. Anyhow...yeah, so first day on the job and I walked away with an HDD and discussion of Silent Hill.

I barely remember the first SH. It's been a looooong time since I've played that one. I just remember that Harry was kind of a sissy. Out of all the SH characters, I'd say that Henry was the calmest. I don't think that guy freaked out a single time, now that I think about it.
If I had to choose a favorite character, it'd be Heather. One, because of her "little secret" and two, she's funny as hell at times. Plus, she's kinda bitchy at times, which makes it funnier. She's my favorite. How about you guys? Who is your favorite character from the SH series?

So far, James Sunderland. Why? He's so real... He reacts exactly how I would in his position and I really felt for him. All he wanted was to feel loved again, and going that far for the one you love is real devotion. I know to an extent how that feels. I, also like him, have suffered...
