Well I am up to the historical Museum now, I was walking around the first part of SH trying to figure out how to get to the park but I reset then figured it out .

Oh awesome! In the historical center, did you look at those paintings on the wall?

Man, I regret chosing easy mood now, the monsters just stand there and it takes two shots to kill them, ammo is everywhere you look though. I like to boot them once I've shot them but its differant from the first SH.

You must be talking about the torso's. If you have your torch off, they'll stay still. If you have it on, they'll come after you.

When I first got out of the Hospital I thought it was still in the Alternate mode but after a while I realised they just made it dark.

Yeah, that is the alternate world. Dark Silent Hill as it's known. Well, since you've seen that, I'm sure you can guess why. The monsters can't see you in the dark unless you have your torch on, or you walk into them. Although I think of this as an advantage, I prefer it misty. It seems less dangerous in the mist.

Spoiler: as for the bit about Maria, well going on with the story I would of eventually figured it out but from where I am it kind of makes sense, except the bits with Laura, I am guessing she represents something like perhaps his younger side? I dunno her place in the story yet to say

Also I am going through them in order so it will be a little while before I tackle The Room (I still haven't brought it yet)

Spoiler: All along, it was Walters' ghost you saw. The Walter you saw running around in Hospital world, Subway World Revisited, Forest World Revisited, Water Prison world revisited, Shopping Complex world revisited and last, but not least Apartment World revisited... was actually memories of Walter (it was seem).

Hmm ok, I've never been in the hospital world or revisited any of the worlds, yeah.. I've never seen Walter (I think) maybe once if he was the ghost coming out of the wall at the very beginning, before you enter the tunnel for the first time.

Although a lot of this is personal theory mixed in with knowledge of the series, I hold very strong beleif in what I say, and to me, it makes the puzzle fit. I'd definately love to debate with anybody whom disagrees with me, but a lot of what I'vew said is just complicated versions of the uncovered story.

Yeah, the game makes more sense to me now, and as the Norwegian n00b I am I didn't understand much about the game.

How did I learn all of this, DV?
Well now, I just listened closely to every storyline and deeply analysed each one until I knew the meaning of every scrap of information. I love the Silent Hill series and I love to know everything about it. A lot of the reason is because of the psychological meanings behind it's content

I sometimes do that with games I'm not interested, but in the SH series, I pay very close attention to the vides and the diolag and everything.

Today, I went to my house to pick up a few things when I saw a small, dvd sized package sitting on top of the dvd player. I opened it and as I had expected, there was Silent Hill 2. I took it out of the case and examined the disc. Perfect!

The instruction booklet is included as well and in perfect shape as well. Now, I need to speed through Silent Hill 3 so I can start up Silent Hill 2.

I'm not really sure how far along I am in SH3 right now. I'm still in the hospital, but I'm taking the game over to my friend's house tonight to try and finish it off.

As for SH4, I enjoyed it. I liked the fact that even though it didn't take place in Silent Hill, it still had hints of the town in it. Such as the pictures that Henry took in the town and the rabbit. Personally, if I was Henry, I would burn everything affiliated with that town in my apartment.

The last thing I need is Alessa targeting me. haha

Spoiler: In the first SH1, Alessa was connected to Cheryl by her soul. They shared the same one...After Cheryl was killed, and Harry was given a new baby, "Heather" also had Alessa's soul... I feel sorry for Harry. He's faced years of this crap with Silent Hill and didn't deserve it, especially since the first Cheryl was only adopted. That's a guy who loves his kids, I'm telling ya!

Spoiler: Silent Hill 5 (working title) will be the fifth installment in the survival horror series. Although not much is known about the latest installment, it is speculated to be released either later this year or early 2007 following the release of the Sony PlayStation 3. However, the game's development and exact platform release wasn't officially confirmed at E3 2006, but could still be unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show later this year. [edit] Known Details The most recent news on Silent Hill 5: The Room 2 comes from an article in the July 2006 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (#205), page 54. A brief report explains that, "It appears as if Konami is developing a next-gen Silent Hill, only on U.S. soil. And with Resident Evil 4 gameplay to boot!" The reason behind the change of development locations is presently unknown (as the series has always been handled by Team Silent in Japan). Gameplay akin to Capcom's Resident Evil 4 suggests the game could include an over-the-shoulder camera and possibly even more action-focused gameplay than previous entries in the Silent Hill series have offered. Spoiler: Why replace anything!? I'm actually really skepitcal on this. I mean, Silent Hill have had 1 successful film and four successful games... they must not **** it up while they've got it good! I'm seriously worried. I hope there's nothing to make this new game bad... Guh. I can't believe I'm stressing out so much over a game. I suppose you could say Silent Hill is one of my small pleasure in life, and if it got wrecked now, I'd be left feeling hopeless about it. It's not doubting the project, but I'd hate for this to be The Room: 2, as you put it... As much as I liked The Room, it did get a bit tedious toward the end, and I don't really want a repeat of a game... I want to walk the streets, with haunting music and creatures.

Although, one thing I feel really good about is their comment about this new game having a ...

Exactly...It'll be such a let down if they change the wonderful things they've already got. However, I feel slgihtly more positive, since the Room was different and it was a good game... I'd just prefer it to go back to the SH1 / 2 theme they had. (I haven't played SH3 yet, so I'm not sure if that was like SH1 / 2. I just know SH3's storylines, etc.)

I started playing SH2 last night after we finished up SH3. Quick note...(and huge spoiler)...

Spoiler: At the end when you are in the church and you just get through talking to Claudia...don't shoot her in the face or it's instant game over. You kind of get to see Alessa, though.

Anyway, my friend was playing when we first took on Pyramid Head. I got to laugh at him due to the fact that we didn't know he could kill you in one hit (with the above the head attack). So, it was my turn after that. I just kept dodging his attacks until I heard the sound of the sweet, sweet siren and he was off! Which, by the way...following him out of the room is a bad idea.

Where I'm at now...

Spoiler: I just picked up Maria from the park. I'm not too far into the game.

I was skimming through an ending guide for SH2 and holy shit...there is so much shit that you can do to change the ending of the game. Even examining certain things in the game so far can change the ending. I'm not even sure which ending I want, though.

I got the non-Greatest Hits version (I rock!), so no UFO ending for me.

I hope that the series keeps going the way it has been when it comes to the story. You know how SH1 and SH3 tie together (as well as SH2 and SH4), well, hopefully SH5 will pick up where SH3 left off. Either way, the new Silent Hill should definitely be something to look foward to.

Silent Hill: The Room was a really good game, so I completely agree with you. I plan on playing the games all the way down to the first one and then start back through. I know that if you have save data from SH2 and you play SH3, you can see a few extra things in the game.

Plus, I really want to see the possession ending for SH3. I've heard it's the best ending, but you have to play through the game twice to get it. Hopefully I'm able to get this ending.

As for right now, though, SH2 has my full focus. I'll let you guys know where I'm at as I go through the game.

I plan on starting back up here before too long. The thing that has me worried is what ending I will get. I'm really curious about that. I don't know which one I want, to be honest. It's a difficult decision considering I don't know which is the best to try to get.

Hollow, yeah, I don't have any idea what ending I'm going to get, and I'm about half an hour from the end of the game. I haven't played it for about three days, because my PS2 has been on the blink. I've been trying to fix it, but I guess I need a new one, which is cruddy because I'm broke. xD

But yeah, I'm almost all the way through SH2 now.

I think the worst part on SH2 so far has been the hospital...oooh, it's horrible...
