Well that was weird. Okay, some of you are gonna be cool with this, and some of you might hate me for it. But hear me out. Not very many people put in nominations this year, which meant less counting for me (), but it also meant I had a bunch of categories with several nominees with 1 nomination each. I looked at using the system I described in the Nomination Round, but this year, the categories wouldn't have made a whole lot of sense. So maybe let's try it this way and see if it's not a huge disaster (if it is, I can probably fix it ).
Basically, if you got more than one nomination (or in some categories two), you made it to the ballot. I tried to keep it as close to four people (or less) per category as I could. There are some special cases (like the Traditional Artist or RP categories), but for the most part, those who got the most nominations for each category made it in.
The names are listed in each category in alphabetical order.

I like the awards, but it feels like a flop since there's only a handful of people to vote for
Plus some categories can only really have one or two people for nominations since they're probably the only ones keeping those areas of the forum active that the award is based off of(literature forum for example.)
I wouldn't want to completely get rid of them since voting is fun, but it's becoming dull without variety.
Maybe we should get crazy with the categories since there's not that much to go off of forum based wise. Hmmm.. like, the actual award categories can be similar to bogus award categories but switched up every year or something, that way we can come up with our own?

I missed the nominating but I'm damn well gonna vote here.
IMO the awards are very fun but I agree that they can get old. It's a shame that some of the newer people get overlook but I guess that's the nature of things. Maybe shaking things up next time would be fun, like Gypsy said.

I like the idea of the awards, and I honestly hope that we still do this as a yearly thing. I agree that some of the categories from the Bogus Awards would be a nice addition to see.

Most of the old regulars have up and left or become quite inactive (some I only ever see on MSN or facebook these days).
Do remember that I totally called it in it's infancy and for the same reason get the strong feeling that CPC8 and those associated with them are going to clean up these awards. [/smug]

yeah, it was hard for me to vote for a new member this year, I literally went through the members by join date section and found a scant few of them who stuck around and had more than single digit posts, so idk haha.
I don't remember that but even so that's not a bold prediction by any means, a lot of the regular guys in here are part of the CPC8, so it only makes that they will be getting nominations. Besides, in my completely unbiased opinion we do attract the coolest/sexiest/best members into our group.

I looked at using the system I described in the Nomination Round, but this year, the categories wouldn't have made a whole lot of sense. So maybe let's try it this way and see if it's not a huge disaster (if it is, I can probably fix it
