Indeed. Smash is coming out in 2007 sometime; I think maybe even as late as June. Or was it May? *shrug* Anyhoo...
Totally agree on Zelda, of course. I'm also kind of curious about Red Steel and the Rayman game. Elebits, now that I look at it again, also sounds interesting. The others... meh. There's three sports games on there-two of which I can imagine easily being multi-platform-and I generally don't care for those. I've also never cared for the Call of Duty series, either. The doctor game... I dunno what I think of that.
Oh yeah, and some kid told me that Super Mario 64 being one of the most popular games ever was "one of the dumbest quotes of all time." I guess he's never seen that one guy's site. Anyhoo...

I was looking at the Twighlight Princess screenshots and if im not mistaken he has one of the fairys from Ocarina Of Time , could this be a sequal or have they brought back the fairys
Plus on the Wii at first it was gunna be a worldwide release but now the US are getting it 19th November while UK are getting it 8th December
just thought i'd point that out :D
Count me in. i love most nintendo games: Legend of zelda, Metriod, robotech battlecry, supersmashbros melee, joust. i even own a N.E.S.
Who knows how much the WII is going to be and what games are being made for it.
The Wii will go for about $250, I believe. For some games that are coming out for it; clicky the linky here:Quote:

hehe the virtual console isnt seperate its built ito the Wii its one of the channels , the bad thing is the way to get them because you have to yuse your credit card to get Wii points to buy them , or buy them from your gaming store and then you can buy them plus it'll have an internet browser you can get but again thats built in and costsQuote:

Anywho I found this web site that I thought was worth showing everyone. If you have ever been disappointed that you could not beat an original 8-bit Nintendo game, and who hasn't. This site has the ending for a whole bunch of them.
http://www.vgmuseum.com/end/nes/
I was excited to see some of those games I could never beat on there such as willow, back to the future, and top gun. Still I could not find kings knight on there so I guess that proves it is unbeatable. :)
Also if you look at the top of the page you can find links to the endings of games from other consoles. See any games you could not beat?
Definitely some games I could not beat. I got pretty far in Willow, but then I couldn't find something that would let me advance, like a key or something. That's a cool ending for it, too, though. It reminds me of a Zelda ending. It was weird, though, that the game barely followed the story line of the movie. Heh. A lot of people said it was what Zelda II should've been (I liked Zelda II too, however.)
I also never beat Battle Toads, Blaster Master, Legacy of the Wizard, or Mighty Final Fight (games that I see in there.) Legacy of the Wizard's ending really disappoints me, somehow...
Great find, Max. Good luck with your presentation.

damn i'd check out the endings to my old nes games but its that6 long ago since i played it that i cant remember any games ive got for it......
the NES is so quality. the first three final fantasy's are soooo much better experienced on the NES, rather than the remakes. nobuo uematsu shined on the no-more-than-3-notes-at-a-time sound chip. the graphics are incredible too. 8-bit pixel art has always been my favorite, and the colors on the NES were always vibrant and wonderful.
but in the end, it's just because there's something so tragically nostalgic, heartwarmingly wonderful about an NES. it's like laying down on your grandma's couch after downing a massive amount of thanksgiving dinner - it's like coming home...
aww I never had FF on the NES I feel so neglected , I only really had a few games for it (this would be because i started playing them in about 1998 with my Megadrive and S/NES
I don't know if you guys are excited about the Wii release as I am but I am pretty darn excited! Anyhow I found this online guide to the Wii that should help get us all ready to enjoy the great fun involved in a nintendo product.
http://wii.ign.com/launchguide/
It goes over all of the things that the Wii is going to be and do. Go Nintendo!
That is some cool stuff. I did not take the time to read it all seeing that I'm to lazy but I well soon. (Maybe lol)
Also wanted to say sorry for my lak of posting here. Been very busy.
I have not posted in TKK in so long. Anyways I'm about to read that MAx.
hehe damn I can't wait to get my Wii and the more stuff I read the more excited I get , the Classic Controller seems pretty cool.
The Virtual Console is awesome by the looks of it I hope that Nintendo choose to also use their Star Points on the UK website because then i'll have loads of games :D I'm looking forward to the idea of playing Zelda OoT again and Pokémon hehe i'll be on Stadiums mini-games all the time
Sounds pretty crazy but they might choose to make their classic games online accessible.
thia club loks okay how do I join?
So... anyone seen this yet? It's the new Smash Bros. Brawl Trailer! (The "Nintendo World Trailer," not the E3 one. Although if you couldn't tell the difference without me saying that... >_>;;)
This makes me happy, mostly because we finally see Fox in this new one. Except that he has his Star Fox Command look going on, and fore me, that isn't his best. I wish they would've kept his old look... but eh *shrug*
I also really enjoyed seeing Snake fight. He just pulled that rocket launcher from out of his ass, or something. La la la...
Gonna be awesome.
Wuv, Yer Mom
wow the in-game stuff in that was ace , just they didnt show much of Snake :( but oh well it still looks awesome with the new levels , by the looks of it the Adventure mode is more enhanced

I still have a car I need to buy, and christmas presents... I don't think I'm gonna have enough for that. Although maybe I'll just keep on driving my parents' car for a little while longer... and then, when they least expect it, steal it. Except I live with them. Where would I take it? La la la...

Hey, fellow nintendo worshipper I made a thread in general gaming that you might be interested in checking out, http://thefinalfantasy.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=52458
You can start making your wishlists already
Hey everyone sorry Ihave been slightly M.I.A. it has been a busy week/ month. Anyhow blank I don't mind if you post on the club thread but I am not going to add you to the members list until you post more.
Also in celebration of the "week of Wii" I bring to you the history of Nintendo.
I will post a breif history of the Atari v. Nintendo battle that I wrote which I will be presenting in April at a national pop culture conference in Boston. It will be posted here.
http://thefinalfantasy.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=47722
Sorry it's somewhat long but if you love nintendo history like I do I think it is interesting.
Also I found this great web site that looks at the history of Nintendo.
http://www.classicgaming.com/museum/nes/
I hope you enjoy.
Happy week of the Wii!
I'm still a bit peeved about you guys over in America having your Wii this week and i have to wait a whole month DAMN YOU!!!!!
on a futher note can you guys review some games when you get yours because i wanna know what games are good and which arent
Hey, can I join? My favorite game is Golden Sun. I'd like to know what you guys thought about GS 2, because It felt like they tried too hard, to me. Which one do you like better?
Golden Sun? wow I keep trying to buy that game but the shop doesnt have it whenever i have money , they're big bullies....>ANYWAY yeah i've emulated it in the past and I thought its a good game both of them but i never got far enough so i dont know all that much about it
I found this the other day on the internet and it made me laugh milk out of my nose. Hopefully some of you remember the 80's (well I guess I hope you remember 1990) this is a catalog that was included with the Janu/Feb 1990 Nintendo Power (It was a great issue that looked at the NES Batman :) ) Anyhow I hope you enjoy this. It makes me wish I would have bought more crap back in the day.
http://www.progressiveboink.com/arch...tendocat/1.htm
I remember looking through pages of catalogs just this, imagining myself beating up those models and stealing the merchandise off them. Like literally. I had a bit of an evil streak in me as a kid; I used to laugh at kids who were crying, sometimes (unintentionally. Which probably makes it worse.)Quote:

Same question here. You guys taking any fresh nintendo loving blood?
*bows to maxpower*
I have been a nintendo worshipper since my days growing up playing the snes/nes. All the nintendo systems i have owned are the snes, nes, gameboy, gameboy color, gameboy advance, nintendo 64. Don't have a gamecube because i've been too broke but i plan on getting the Wii soon, and i'll be able to play gamecube games on it! Went through a little sony denial period where i was playing the ps and ps2 (only reason i jumped on to sony was to play the new final fantasy games and its mass amounts of other rpgs, something the n64 obviously was lacking) thinking nintendo was too "kiddy" for me, but sony's name has been tainted over the years as i'm concerned and i have no plans on buying the ps3. Plus, i've just been going through heavy Mario/Zelda withdrawl, sometimes i can't sleep at night! :D Future of gaming: Wii baby!
Also during my nintendo days i was a non stop subscriber to nintendo power, thought i'd add that in because i saw some mention of it. I had a subscription for years..i remember when i was little the walls in my room were literally filled with all the posters that came with it. I had all the snes classics posters, Secret of Mana, Super Mario RPG, etc.
My friends and i still relive our classic nintendo 64 multi player days and play the original Super Smash (we completely pwn at this game, i am the self proclaimed god with Kirby), Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Mario Party, Mario Kart, and Starfox 64 on a regular basis. Sometimes we'll throw in a little Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Golf, and Mario Tennis as well. All of those are classic as well. Plus my friend just got starcraft 64 so that should be interesting for some two player. :)
Favorite nintendo game/series? While I love Mario and Zelda both, i think it's gotta be Zelda hands down! *wishes he had a gamecube or wii so he could play Twilight Princess asap.* And my favorite zelda game is link to the past (i know i may get booed for not choosing ocarina of time but i love link to the past dearly)
BTW: IGN's Zelda review Basically from ign says, greatest zelda game ever and one of the strongest launch titles ever (they say second to Super Mario 64) ALL HAIL ZELDA
Gamespot has a different opinion though..interesting
Gamespy loves it though
Yeah, I was kinda wondering the same thing as The General, accepting newcomers? I love the NES (still own about 25ish games) and the SNES (got lost in the move, had a LOT of old games, including FF6/3 *mourns loss*) I've pretty much owned every console Nintendo released in the US (I think) aside from that VirtualBoy thing, and the newest, DS/Wii, and I plan on getting the latter 2 when I manage to scrape up enough money and can find them (DS wont be too hard, but until after the holidays, Wii is going to be impossible, lol)
I haven't been able to play any 2+ player N64age since I moved here, which is a real shame honestly, I miss owning my peeps in Starfox 64 and Perfect Dark :P Anyways, I'll leave this as a Pending Application.
