Sorry for the late answer, but the lack of a computer and the responsibility of taking Calculus II has prevented me from answering. I am honored that you have accepted the proposal thus far. As you may know, all of you are allowed to participate in discussions in the GS thread, as we value all kinds of opinions. Regardless of affiliation, all voices are allowed to post their opinion. Of course, we reserve the right to accept anyone who we consider that do not add to the discussion.

Without further ado, I take my leave.

Since I can't start topics on the home site...

I was venturing about, and came across an 'old friend's website. Modeled after TU. His and Android's apparently.

Well... seems Makoto and I are off to the quarter-finals in the tournament. Anomaly... It's alright, there's always next tourney . But if you wish it... I'am always up for a good ol' battle between the grandmaster and myself. So how about it, yes? no?

Anywhom... I'm at work at the moment, and... I am very very tired and trying to stay up.

*shrug* tournaments were never my forte. I'm better at grinding the enemy into submission rather than performing to the satisfaction of a judge. Still, I am gratified that my other Masters are advancing and I hope you will both do your best to win the Tournament.

As for myself, I think its time I dropped the hammer down on the Phoenix Knights.

Mage, I'm well aware of what you speak and have been for a long time now. It is of no consequence.

Makoto, Natu, keep it clean girls ^_~

Understood. So... maybe later on the battle. Anywhom.... all posts regarding the battle between Slim and myself have been submited. Please take your time Lord Anomaly and read over tem carefully. I know he sort of godd modded there at the end, but... I don't mind too much. As long as he doesn't do that in the future.... he'll be alright. ^_^

Great first round guys. And Lord Anomaly, if I may be so bold, I do not really think you were too well suited to this kind of tournament, the same reason why I didn't participate. It is too limited. What it comes down to really is only physical attacks, only Japanese styles of fighting, ect, ect. I was tempted to, though really do not have the attention span right now to participate in such a limited tournament. No offense to the staff and those who came up with the tourny, I think it's a great concept, just not my cup of tea at the moment.

None taken. I knew full well when I went into this tournament that it would not be for everyone. I even had one member so brash as to insult me for its sheer "stupidity." I just felt like trying something different this time. The tournament is always the same thing, over and over again, so I felt to really challenge the writers, I needed a very strict, very restrictive tournament, forcing everyone to do things they may have never done before.

Anomaly's performance was astounding; do not by any means think that his loss means he did poorly. As I stated in the judgement of that thread, it was the most difficult choice I have ever had to make in the first round of a tournament. Spike and I spent half an hour trying to decide the victor in that battle. It was amazing to read, at the very least.

In any case, I am open to suggestions for the next Tournament of Arms. It will likely begin sometime near the start of 2007. It will be completely different, that much is for certain. It will probably be more open, as the past tournaments have been, but I will undoubtedly put some unexpected spin on it, just to keep the writers on their toes. Hopefully, whatever we end up with will be more appealing to more of you, so that I can see others in competitive action.

Prehaps you might follow it up with a tournament that limits to the skills of the magical arts? It would seem in balance, but then I know many here seem more interested in the more.. Physical fighting styles and have never been one to preform for judges myself so such a suggestion is likely of little import.

As for the matter of T.G. Oskar.. I have been expecting something along those lines to crop up for some time now, Anomaly already knows my thoughts on the matter but, for the benefit of anyone else who care to know, it was an Aye on my part as well.

Yes. I'm around. In case anyone wondered. *shrugs*

You know, that was one of the ideas that went through my head. A purely magical tournament. It would undoubtedly be interesting to see. Of course, there would have to be limits to one's power, but the idea is entertaining, to say the least. Now that I know I'm not the only person who thinks it would be exciting to see such a thing, I may consider it more heavily when the time for the next tournament rolls around... but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.

It would appear that Lady Kassandra got to it before I, however, I was also going to suggest a 'Magic' tournament, though I don't know how easily that could be done. With a Melee tournament, one has to abide to the laws of Physics and what not, however, what laws do Magic have? Everyone's perception of Magic is different. And at the same time, some people use Magic to increase they're physical attributes. So I don't know... I think it could be a cool concept, just needs to be thought about throughly first.

How about like a Summoning Tournament? Or something to that effect. Or perhaps like an Elemental tournament, you pic a element and fight with it. I dunno', I will probably organize my thoughts and send them to you.

And the member who stated that the tournament was 'stupid' obviously is rather close minded.

Naturally, questions like that go into thought, but than again... the best writer shall prevail. Although one will soon think, if I were to beat the crap out of a fire caster with an Ice Summon, but then in turn lose to poor writing skills... is this right? I believe so. It always tends to be the better writer that can get the upper hand at the turn of any situation. Even if the battle is not in their favor.

And something off topic for the hell of it... I saw Superman. Awsome ****ing movie. ^_^

    Hmm...it is adequite.

Slim is hereby accepted as a Novice to The Masters. Henceforth he shall have the right to post in our club and participate in our activities. Let us welcome a new sacrifice to the Godhand.

In honor of this, and of other recent events, I offer a simple excerpt of poetry...

Swift blazing flag of the regiment,
Eagle with crest of red and gold,
These men were born to drill and die.
Point for them the virtue of slaughter,
Make plain to them the excellence of killing
And a field where a thousand corpses lie.

Mother whose heart hung humble as a button
On the bright splendid shroud of your son,
    Do not weep.
    War is kind.
This is by no means tradition, but rather I like to think of it as a possible sign of things to come.

Great. Slim... if you still accept, I would ask of you for that small favor once again. would you be alright with being one of my Genocide ordinates? If so, a simple yes. If no, a simple no. If you do decide though, a sig below is the mark of your title. You are not required to wear it, but if you wish... it's right there for the taking.

Anywho... welcome to the Masters. May you find peace here... while it lasts.

Sorry I'm taking so long to reply to my entry battle, but I've been landed with some rather large assignments recently, and have had no time to do anything. They'll be out of the way at the end of the week however, so I should be able to be a little more active in the battle. Only a few posts left now...

Hopefully it'll be up to standard.

Well, there would have to be some limits, just as there where with this tournament, but I've seen a couple of magic user tourneys done well before so it can be done, and offers a lot of interesting possibilities. However, even it's fun to think about what could be done next Loco's right - This tourneys far from over just yet.

Mage, please, stop paying my failed apprentice so much heed, is his ego not already inflated enough? We already know of his activities, if he becomes a hinderance I have already sworn to deal with him myself, as a Master must when there Pupil acts in such dishonorable fashion. Until then he really dosent matter. Let it be..

Nyarlathotep, no problems, I've had a few things constricting my own time until just recently as well... We only have a few posts left but, personally, I value quality over speed so please feel free to take as much time as you deem nessasary.

And, of course, Welcome to our 'family' Slim, I hope you shall find what you seek here..

Sorry, I'm a bit hung up on the fact that he stole the infinity element I was working on at TU, and his honor stint he did apparently doesn't apply to requests to remove thievery. >_<

Anyway, simply by my name, it's obvious I prefer a casting tourny. Preferably with melee allowed, as certain classes/users would use spells that shift their shape.

A casting tourny would be fun. But as Mage says, there would need to be some element of melee involved. You can't just stand there are sling spells at each-other. Well, you could but it would be boring for fighter/mages. But I guess thats beside the point.

Thanks for understanding, Makoto-Tribal. I concur, quality is better than speed. To act in haste is to make horrible spelling/grammatical/fatal mistakes.

Casting tournies might be nice, but... I would probably steer away from the whole idea. I'm more of a physical attacker with only slight magic from time to time. I don't really consider Chi a form of magic either. But I guess it all comes down to what the judges say are good and bad. Oh well...

    Aloha, ladies. I'm still alive.

Just thought I'd drop in... Anyhoo, a magic tourney sounds interesting. I wouldn't personally take part (coz I, y'know, suck at casting) but it'd be a good idea.

And I also have someone in mind for my second Genocide Ordinate. w00t for me.

And finally, Mage, please don't pull your socks up too high. Zero may have nicked off with Infinity, but it wasn't yours in the first place, sweetheart. I do believe that our loverly ex-Pillar of Time FalseProphet came up with Infinity in the first place. So sorry, but shush. Heh.

Well, and that's all it is right now -- just an idea. I know it's interesting; I don't think there's any arguing that. The problem is, as many of you have said, it would have very few participants. It may be one thing to force writers to work outside their element (Asian characters, no magic, etc.), but something like casting-only may just be a little too strict and a little too odd for a tournament. There's a difference between thinking outside the box and throwing the box away.

I'll probably end up discarding the idea, but at least it's fun to think about.

Primary casting, with no restrictions on weapons(however they have to be enchanted weapons or none at all) might be a good side rule. Use of regents, such as staffs, blades, wands, powders and potions would make a good option as well. I bet you could manage 16 fighters for a casting only tournament though...I've been in the Mage Wars before and it was a hell of a lot of fun.

Another new Genocide Ordinate Swifty? Well I must say I look forward to being introduced. It would seem the MMD is quite operational...all that remains is to fill out the ranks of the Elemental Swordsmen.

Hmm...it would seem I may be bringing a new member to our brood...but I'll let him introduce himself.

Great sonic booms echoed in the distance as nearly moments later the glass from a window burst inwards with a cannon ball breaking through the room. This immediately woke Griffith who was agitated the moment his eyes opened, cursing the entire time as he got out of bed and stood at the broken window screaming.

He had rented the room at the best Tavern the town had only to now become a grouchy bastard. Avoiding the large hole in his floor, Griffith opened his door and ran downstairs, stopping outside just in front of the tavern. Seconds later, another sonic boom cut through the air with one more cannon ball riding behind it. His head had turned quickly to see the cannon fire was coming from a pirate ship in the harbor. This cannon ball he had just heard was aiming only a few feet away from him, he then moving near that very spot. "Some people are wanting to sleep!" He yelled out and at the same time gave a counter-clockwise kick to hit the cannonball with the flat end of his boot, sending it flying in the other direction and towards the pirate ship. His aim from the kick was barely off, hitting the mermaid sculpture on the pirate ship's front.

Screams emerged from the town near its shores as many people came flooding past him with horror-shocked faces. A minute behind them was a large force of pirates growling with weapons in hand and terrifying anyone that was close. Griffith quickly then ran back inside the tavern and went into his room, grabbing his things and putting his accessories on.

Just as two pirates were nearing the tavern chasing some women, Griffith jumped out from his window and landed on one side of their shoulders, but not lightly. The pirates were thrown to the ground face first and immediately fell unconscious from his sheer power. "You have disturbed me slumber you scurvy dogs and thy will pay thee price of a thousand deaths!" He then yelled out, gathering attention from other pirates to surround him just a minute later. Barely ten seconds later he had kicked three of them into a wall, two on a store porch, and the last two fleeing the fight with a pair of wet pants.

He had decided to run after them right after beating another pirate who curled up in a ball and began crying, rushing off away from his last victim and already gaining on the two cowards. It was a flashing pair of eyes that stole his attention from an alley as he ran passed it, but stopped with a confusing look on his face. He took one more glance at the pirates running and then jogged over to the alley; nothing was there. Still, in his experiences, that was no illusion that he saw. Cautious steps that barely made a noise slowly moved within the alley’s shadows and his eyes began illuminating the ice blue color they were and his body beginning to blend in with the shadows from his black hair and black leather suit. His eyes averted from one spot to another, looking for some sort of sign.

He stopped right in the middle of the alley as a distortion of what seemed to be time waved from the wooden wall and gave off a low frequency sound, like a whistle. He slowly placed his hand upon it, his hand moving through the substance and at that exact moment an image burst through his eyes with a road and a destination. His hand pulled away from the liquid like substance quickly and everything went back to reality, his eyes flickering in surprise to what he just saw. But he was no fool, he understood what it meant. He ran out of the alley, grabbing a ripped up cloak that sat on a wooden crate and fled the town.

There seemed to be a constant urging pull on that path he walked on that would get stronger every step, a magnetism of energy reaching out towards him. Thus he walked through an old forest into miles of open land and found himself standing before a large mountain with a blizzard surrounding it.

Before him glistened some constructed path that went up the mountain, he not hesitating to take the first step and continued to move closer to that feeling. Though it had seemed like days on this travel with a strange world to the mountain, light never fading and his path never splitting nor detouring. Finally, nearing the top, the path ended and in an amazing sight of beauty revealing an opening of a cave with thousands of crystals. His cloak fell to the ground as he entered this chamber of magnificence and the warmth welcomed him sensationally.

He stopped when he found himself in front of a strangely designed mirror which stood out far more greatly than the rest of the crystals. His hand gently slid up the mirror's smooth crystal glass while he studied the rest of it curiously and placed his finger upon the nose of his reflection. His eyes grew larger when the glass distorted into a slow liquid wave and a pair of lips formed. However, the words the lips spoke did not give off any sound, but inside his ears they were purely clear. It explained to him many things, such as his fate and why he was here. When it was finished it asked a question. He then stared at the mirror for a moment, spreading open his fingers upon the glass. "I submit."

His hand then fell through the mirror's liquid form as he pushed himself through a portal of time, nearly falling but able to keep his balance. His head slowly turned upwards to see many figures in shadow staring upon him intensely. Grinning, he placed his hands behind his back, pulling out his black pole-arm and placed it together and walking towards them only to then stop and kneel with his weapon held lightly balanced in both hands. "My service is given to those who stand upon the thousands of corpse we walk over everyday, I wish to be granted as a Master."

A hush falls with darkness, followed by a soft, rythmic wailing. The Godhand gazes out from their thrones in the Core of the Masters Keep, at the same time at the central point of the Nexus. Stars glow in the eye sockets of the central, helmed figure of the Anomalist. He allows a cold, soft smile to cross his lips as he speaks...

"A bit abstract, but certainly the most indepth role play entry we've seen as of yet. Yes...Yes I believe that will do."

There is a gesture and Griffith stands in a central point of crimson light amid the darkness. Swirling faces gape at him from all sides, but Anomaly continues on.

"We've already fought Griffith, as you well know, and thus I have already seen your capacity for battle. A far greater capacity, I might add, then I have seen in your former compatriots."

Here there is a soft chuckle from the thrones of the Queen of Abomination and the Wail of the Beast both. The Grand Master ignores this, pressing on.

"The Godhand have already spoken, ruling in majority to accept you as a Novice in the ranks of the Masters. We expect great things of you Griffith...we fully trust that such a low ranking will not last."

Here the Anomalist motions again, and the crimson light focuses to a single beam, that dies to an ember etched at the base of Griffiths spine...the mark of The Masters. Darkness falls in, but within it, the thrum of the burning crimson spirit, the god of battle, the blood lust of war vibrates on.

"Death...rebirth...damnation...salvation...all shall end. That end will be us. Salvation in Domination. Welcome to The Masters. May you find peace with us...while it lasts."

As I stood here at the break of eternity
The planets realigned to hide the sun
The moon was red and the sky turns black -
    The Dragon roared in rage
And I was silent, waiting for a sign
But on the ninth day the earth did not open
There was thunder but no rain -
    The Dragon howled five names

Just a suggestion, but I think it would be a good idea to have a Masters story based RPG soon. I love them, but half the time I get caught up with, for lack of a better word, 'shit-tastic' writers, and the RPG goes down the drain. I don't know how recently we've held one, as I have only recently joined the Masters, I just thought it could be fun!

    Anyway, your call......
