Happy B-day Behemoth!
To Anomaly: A good meal is nice but I'd prefer actual presents, better something useful too. Yet, I hate to think about my age, it depressing me. We are not turning younger with every year that passes by...
Anyway I'm kind of jealous of you guys, I have always liked Christmas but I'm not really able to celebrate it for years. When I lived in Russia we got a real tree every year and decorated it together(dad brought it personally) and it was really fun, we were a happy family, together. When we moved away the real tree was replaced by a plastic one for the few first years and then by nothing. I'm still hoping to be able to celebrate it properly one day. Perhaps its all about my childhood memories but still, I would love to celebrate Christmas once.
-
I guess it would be a little difficult to celebrate christmas in your situation. Hell, we get it shoved down our throats from fall through most of winter, but I sometimes forget there are places in the world where its considered bad form to even mention it, let alone try to have anything to do with it.
I hope that you'll be able to enjoy it again soon Neko, even if it's not as grand as your memories.
Hmm....I know I'm getting too old. No festivls really inspire me to much more than strong drink anymore. For all the pumpkin carving, tree decorating, fireworks, and feasting....at the end of the day every celebration seems to come back to some alchoholic beverage for me. (not that this is a bad thing, its just different) It's something that makes me want children though...so that I can see what was lost from the other side, see if I can find out whats missing. It's probably just the disillusionment of knowing that personal responsibility means one slip and you're likely going to be royally screwed by a world that cares for little aside from sex and money.
:p I'm bringing myself down so I'll stop here.
Not much time left, till a lot of things. But you don't give up...you never give up.
(Unrelated, does anyone else think that Frankenstein was a *****? Not the monster, but the scientist himself. I think its just the way Shelly writes him. I can see why she didn't go on to do that many other books.)
Happy Belated Behemoth
-
Hmmm, I don't know, perhaps he was 5 *'s.
Looks like someone got caught by the censor! Now how will we ever know what it was Anomaly thinks Dr. Frankenstein is? It might've been of vast importance!
Or not. Anyway, I guess I forgot to wish Behemoth happy birthday. Hope this isn't far too late.
Anomaly, your post depresses me. As true as it is, I... I dunno. Maybe I'm still too altruistic.
-
I know I'm really late but, Happy Birthday Anomaly and Behemoth!
Now mine is later than yours so you don't have to feel so bad, Prophet.
And Happy Halloween!
Also, I too feel that way sometimes. Christmas for me just isn't the same anymore, but it might be for totally different reasons...
Responsibility is the reason I don't have a pet. :p
AND!!! Don't you just love it when people start celebrating before they even know if they've won... >.>
Someone sure is full of themselves...
-
I don't see Mad Jack...
Now I'm depressed, and have to cut Ano's wrists. :D
C'mon though, Halloween is still good for scaring people shitless. I do it guilt-free, aside for I don't scare the really young ones. Want them to like Halloween. Too many churches around here doing "Harvest" festivals or recommending "family night" to keep kids from trick-or-treating. ****ed up imo. Apparently wanting candy makes you a dangerous heathen. My cousins don't even go cause their parents have done that shit the last like 5+ years. =/
-
Bah, I still had fun at Halloween after all. Me and my dad make a good team...I forgot that...
Had a fair few teenagers dropping their candy sacks and running off. Turned a few parents into snivling wretches as well. Most fun...I don't think I'll ever get enough of terrorizing people on Halloween night. (BTW- pre-empted Stiff. Went as a vampire-zombie reaper with a severed head. Don't ask)
Also...man is it just me or are kids flat weak anymore? I remember hunting for houses when I was a kid up until midnight, most Halloweens. Our kids barely made it two hours and didn't even go to any other neighborhoods. I swear...as time goes on kids are just getting weaker and weaker in their sensibilities. Then again, I've always been obsessed with All Hallows Eve. Ended up coming home early, ordering pizza and watching a few horror movies and staying up till the last candle in the last jack-o-lantern died.
Happy All Saints Day by the way.
Hm...an interesting choice for a final day for the war really. Well I say final...there's still tomorrow I suppose. Or was it that it ends midnight on Nov. 2nd? Bah, either way, the coin is tossed, let it land as it may.
-
Lol, I'd be scaring trick-or-treaters too, but it's just too effort for me down here. That and most of them are just kids so we don't get any teenagers or whatever. Wish we did because I live right next to a forest and I want to get a sasquatch suit, hehe. Like I remember this one time last year I was watching that ghost hunters show yet it wasn't the show that I was curious about. Across the street just at the edge of a forest some dude parked his avalanche truck and there was some lights on and loud blaring music. I was pretty much like "You got the be ****ing kidding me?" and the funny thing is this was NEXT TO A CHURCH! Sadly I didn't do what anyone else would do...two possible teenagers getting down with each other next to a forest and deciding to judge them with a scare. I really should have. Maybe next year, kekekekeke...
-
Meh, as time goes on parents are spoiling there kids more and more, worrying the slightest thing might 'zomg skare them 4 lyfe'. That, or make them fat. Of course the kids are going to be weak - they're basically being raised to be.
As for the Ghost Hunters special? Might have been more interested if they didn't insist on changing to a different group every time something even remotely interesting happened. I swear they where doing it on purpose too!
And now we all get to have Christmas shoved down our throats 24/7 for the next three months. Hoorah. I like my wintery holidays well enough, but it's Gotten beyond excessive when Christmas forces Halloween out of the stores halfway through OCTOBER.

And now for an update.
Master Godean of the Pillar of Conflict is returned to us after a bout of hospitalization. We welcome him and wish him well and hope that he can soon begin contributing to our battles once more.
A powerful trinity is arrayed to produce a new realm for The Masters to inhabit. It will truly be something glorious, and I hope the time will soon come when I can share more information with you all about this. For the time being, however, such information is confined to the Circle.
Speaking of the Circle, we will be looking for a new Pillar of Death soon. If you'd like to apply, please contact me via private message on the Masters private forums. If you do not have access to these forums you need not apply for the position. Unless, of course, you think you have what it takes to not only become a Master but rise to a powerful and trusted rank in the Circle in a short time.
Now...as to the war. Since the end of the battle, I've noticed a certain quality for silence on our part here, though we be ever more active eslewhere. This is something I greatly respect. While some may feel the need to celebrate an assumed victory prematurely you, my Masters, wait with unyielding patience for the final judgement. This is most wise and honorable.
Hopefully a judgement will be forth coming, and then we will decide what it is we will do with this realm. But more on that later on.
In reality, holidays are fast approaching. If you're going to be absent from us for an extended period, please take advanatge of the 'leaving returning' thread on the offsite forum. I know I will.
-
If someone could link the offsite via PM or something, that'd be splendid.
I have an excuse for losing it this time! BRAND FECKING NEW LAPTOP!
ASUS - Company that makes Lamborghinis. ;D
I got all teary when I opened it. My first *really* nice thing. Honestly, I don't tend to care for the real nice shit, but this is certainly special for me. Getting used to the keyboard though, as it's a bit difference.
Godean, I shall continue spamming the crap out of your msn til you reply more often. ;p
Is there a thread on the home site explaining about Cap?
-
Thought I'd make a return here as well.
I hate hospitals... and waking up in one a few times a month and not knowing why sucks.
But I am back and better than before.
MERGED
Sorry for the double post;
I'd like to apologize for my absence. For those of you that do not know, I was in and out of a coma for about two months, then had coinciding medical issues. I feel like shit for leaving in a time of need. So, sorry all
-
And we're happy to see you back Godean. I must say you were missed during our war with the BOD, but thankfully your absence did not hinder our efforts. As I said before, I'm glad your feeling better.
Hmm...as to the war, it seems Colt has predictabley takn a little more than the customary time to make a ruling. Though I emphatically trust his judgement, I confess it would be a bit much to wait for a judgement on a war that ended in october to be reached in december. As such the BOD will likely be putting forth a request to have another third party act in Colt's stead. While I'd like to avoid this, if I can is entirely up to Colt. So, do we have any suggestions for a likely third party?
-
Well, I'd like a preferably unbiased third party. Perhaps bringing someone in from a different RP fourm?
Zero G Perhaps?
Just kidding...
But someone from a different fourm may not be a bad idea
-
XD
I almost pissed myself from the mention of Zero.
*Supposedly* he still stalks us. Or did last I had heard, bout a year or so ago.
Anyway, glad to have you back. Perhaps I can bounce some ideas off you for some of my new stuff...and stuff Ano has made me think about. ~_~
-
Rion still stalks us too. He tried to join the BoD a while back, but got totally rejected. *Laughs*
Apparently, he's so bad that even THEY didn't want him.
I think we should just wait a little longer for Loco though, because it'll take even longer if we get someone else to judge, especially since it would also involve debating on who the replacement should be...and there's no telling how long THAT could take...
-
Rion is a waste of life, and Zero G is still around in a sense, stalk us, not quite, hate us? Perhaps...
Hmm... that'd be a fun war. Finishing one that never happened. Zero and his new EF.
Shame that war never happened... even though I was on the wrong side at the time
-
Patience it seems is going to be the flavor of the day. For as long as that lasts :p
Bah...things were going to blow up with the EF eventually. The only reason we aligned was because Zero was a former Master and we were planning on combining forces to take down the (then) larger Black Atma. As soon as the Atma dissolved our alliance with the EF should've as well. Thats a mistake I hope we don't make again.
But there's no point paying lip service for what might've been. We should focus on the here and now...and of course, our future possibilities.
-
A hooded and cloak figure steps out of the shadows. None who witness it can be sure if he had been there the entire time, or had just appeared - as if by some magic.
I have returned to the realm of the Internet. Took longer than I thought to get everything sorted out, but that is the nature of telecommunications companies.
I see there is as yet no verdict on the war. I'm a touch disappointed, but if Loco is putting as much work into it as he says he is, then I am quite happy to wait.
-
Awesome, Prophet's back. I hope the move wasn't difficult.
But yes, our war has yet to be decided upon and Loco has said that he will get to it on Friday when he has a day off that day. Hopefully we'll finally be able to breathe easier once things are finally finished.

The Lusty Secretary Victoria speaking on behalf of Cesar. He says his sister was in a wreck this morning, and that is where he disappeared to. And he notes that everything is completed and just needs to be pasted into a post. He will do so as soon as he comes home from work today.
Many thanks and have a sinister day.
-
A perfectly understandable reason. Family comes first, after all.
Hope she's all right.
-
He said she was okay, but that she was pissed off, though. Probably cause the car was in a wreck. Hope it gets fixed, though.
-
So... A couple short hours from 4:30pm the day before...
And he knows in the future that his sister has a car accident the next morning(I'd assume over 12 hours later), which prevents him from posting.
...
I see.
-
Uhm.. dude. He didn't tell me that last night, fool. He texted the news to me just this morning after it happened.
You have to remember he only has one hand to type with. And you have to remember how much work he put into the judging of all five rounds.
Seriously, give the dude some slack. Don't forget he's also two hours ahead of us.
Why don't you try typing with just one hand for the whole day, with good grammar and punctuation, and write like a huge essay or something that would be the equivalent of all 5 matches thoroughly judged. =P
-
Enough discussion on this particular subject please. If Judgement IS indeed close at hand, I don't want the last few posts by this branch of our clan to be archived as bickering over incidentals.
I'm sure we all hope his sister is fine, that her car insurance is good, and that our mutual benefactor will be able to join us as soon as it is convenient.
Lets try to maintain a little poise, yes?
-
I agree with Anomaly. Whining, complaining, pointless bickering - all they serve is to make us look ungrateful and immature. And we of The Masters are not those things, so why make it look as though we are?
Just my two cents.
That's an interesting phrase for me to use, considering New Zealand hasn't had a coin worth less than 5 cents for many years now. Indeed, it no longer even has 5 cent coins. Only 10s, 20s and 50s. Oh, and 1 and 2 dollar coins as well. Which, considering how useful small-value coins are - such as the 1 Yen coin of Japan - perhaps it is a good thing we no longer have them.
Oh, and just to set the record straight - because I'm told a lot of you have the wrong idea entirely - Dranz and I just live in the same house. That is *all*. We have a purely Platonic friendship, despite nobody believing it. Especially that devious Lord Kakamo.
-
As the aforementioned Dranz in question, I have one thing to say. ^"What he said." =D
In any case, I've been lurking, and paying sone particular attention to this war.. Was good fun to read, and good work to all of you. Sorry I haven't been around much. I suppose you could say I'm back. Somewhat. Hah.
Much Love,
Dranz.

All silliness aside, and not really insinuating anything, but do you think that raising a child could make one happy?
-
Yes, in the same way that it could also make one miserable. It's all about the experience and ones point of view going into that experience. If you like watching something grow, sharing affection with new life, and know that at times it will be a struggle, then it can make one quiet happy. If ones not prepared for the responsibility, thinks that somehow having a child will automatically garner them affection (which is not always the case, from the child or another), or just flat doesn't have the finances to support another human being, then it can be a nightmare.
There's two sides to everything, and sometimes three. You should consider your own position from the childs point of view...do you think they would be happy under the circumstances? If you don't think they would...then you may just be wasting your time.
I think its wrong to try and invest ones happiness in another. People are unreliable at best and monsterous at worst. It wouldbe better if one could find a way of making ones own happiness.

More news from the Cesar front. And this is serious. His arm is completely screwed up so he can only 'type' with his cellphone and use facebook. So that's how I found out. Cause I asked him what happened.
Here's a screenshot: http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/5791/cesarla5.jpg
So I don't know what you want to do. Shall we go with Cesar's plan B of asking Psiko to do it? Are you okay with me doing it? Cesar's pretty much out of it at this point. x.x;
