As the BOD are the ones issuing the challenge, I'd say it's up to them to decide if they want to allow more battles to take place. They have chosen 5, so anyone not fighting will be in reserve - in case something happens to one of our five combatants that stops them from posting.
If they would be willing to allow more, we could indeed have more - but 5 is an easy number to keep track of. If we had, say 10 battles running concurrently, that would get a bit hectic would it not?
If we are agreed, then I say let Godean select which 5 will be first into the fray. And the choice shouldn't be made simply on position within the group - if a better fighter has a lower rank, that should not exclude that fighter from selection.
EDIT: Btw, I changed my username. Nyarlathotep is a bit silly, after all.
NB: Also updated my character. Not too sure about my 4th level limit though.
Hey all dang i get one everday for a week and no one gets on. then i go a week and don't get on and everyone gets on. Well im busy reading the last few post but well added more to this when i have finshed. I may not get enought time to read them all today. So i went ahead and posted.
As we have already said, the conditions and terms stand, and are not subject to change. There's a reason we picked the number five for the number of fighters, and if need be, I would gladly explain it. But as it is, we will not be increasing that number.Quote:

You need to stop. We have already come to the conclusion that the 'god-modliness' of the Fortress will not be included in this battle due to it's very nature. Stop making obscure references to the fact that our members will be at an advantage near the castle. They will not. In fact, a good ambush, as the BoD I'm sure is attempting to plan, would include setting our fortress offline in some manner to disallow it's use.Quote:

In all fairness, I did say to have the Fortress as a backdrop -- to make it "fair" it could be miles away... I assume it's large enough to be seen from quite a distance, yes? Anyway, since we're looking at five different 1v1 fights here, I was thinking of having members of TM form a pentagon (or star, or some otherwise five-pointed figure) around the Fortress to protect it on all sides from the invading Brotherhood. That way, all the fights are separate, there's lots of room to destroy individual battlegrounds without affecting the others, AND there's a legitimate excuse for terrain to vary for each battle as well.
Granted, it couldn't be as vast a difference as mountains and beaches, but at least there's more room to play with.
A very good idea, but I must say there are definately ways to make the terrain as vast, in terms of difference, as you wish. All you need is a little creativity. For example: "The pentagon created by the Masters had another effect aswell (or) a side effect. It reflected the light cast upon it in a way that created the visage of a completely altered terrain to that on which they stood. This ...apparition... of sorts was so powerful that the objects it reflected were in fact solidified; creating a completely new, interactive, terrain," or something to that effect.Quote:

Anywho, definitely an interesting idea. I'm sure we'll get something figured out one way or the other.

“Tch…**** your God…” A deep rugged voice cut through the emptiness of the night, fading amongst the alleyway walls. Brick and worn, they’d heard similar threats of malice in their time by the hundreds or thousands. Two figures were standing adjacent to the wall, one of them extremely large and dwarfing the second at six foot six inches. There was no light to speak of in the alleyway, adding to the disturbing threat’s nature. The smaller figure was on their knees, hands caked with fresh blood his own wrapped around the other figure’s solitary trunk of an arm, fighting back the gradual squeeze and depletion of their life.
“P-please, no! No! I’ll do anyth-anything you want just don’t!” another voice cried in desperate plea. It became clear that these two men were not friendly with one another in the least, as the larger man seemed to emit a sparkle from his eye, a chilling blue light radiating through the darkness between them as he lifted the smaller man into the air. Muffled gasps for air and cries of fear of dying pulsed about them, lost to those unforgiving bricks. Only seconds after lifting the man, the larger raised his other hand, which held some sort of L-shaped object—a pistol.
Click.
Thick blood and bits of grey-matter splattered against those wordless bricks following the sudden, nigh-unexplainable disappearance of a veritable section of the entire wall. Fragments of brick and blood sprayed through the air in this one, distinct moment preceding the ear-shattering, cracking sonic-boom danced through the entire city. No mistaking it, the hand-cannon had removed the smaller man’s head clean off his shoulders, silencing him forever and leaving the larger to stand with his arms still suspended, his right empty hand covered thickly in blood while the lifeless body slumped and thudded against the cobblestone ground. He stood like this for several lingering moments, unmoving and unflinching at the encroaching stench invading his nostrils.
Then he smiled, seen only to the all-seeing eyes of those bricks surrounding him.
A flicker of orange and crimson ignited from his very body, enveloping firstly his hands, a scarlet mist snaking into the air as he cleansed himself of the blood. The light revealed his eerily handsome features without fail: dirty blond hair that fell over his left eye, cheek and jaw in a tapering, jagged point; matching crystal blue eyes beset amongst chiseled, tanned features. His arms—trunks, were scantily covered in a light blue-dark blue striped button up shirt, curled back to the midst of his forearms as they couldn’t go any higher. The top was slightly open, exposing his extremely well toned and defined chest, the shirt falling lightly over the rest of his core to conceal the rest of his physique. Slight a concealment it was…
The man wore slightly loose or “just-right” fitting faded jeans that fell over the tops of his spit-shined combat boots, blacker than the night. After the spiraling light snaked down the rest of his body and inevitably extinguished, the man holstered the hand-cannon at his left hip and flipped his shirt back down over it, looking to his left then setting his gaze to the right.
There was an old lantern street light flickering at the far end of the alley, which the man used to recall his bearings on this old city. Thoughts of dogs, cops, and angry local-folk invaded his mind and annoyed him intensely, causing his smile to contort into a flustered frown. So, he turned on his heel and walked into the black of the other direction behind him.
“I need to move…I’m not having another repeat of –that- incident…” the man thought to himself, thinking only of his preservation and not another moment wasted on the life just ended. His steps were well placed and fell silently, pulling his body along the wave of rising fog and steam—stench of waste from various buildings he passed. He moved swiftly, as if perfectly capable of seeing the scattered junk of boxes, trash and other such obstacles strewn out before him. The silent assassin continued to traverse the backstreets of the city for a good fifteen minutes before coming ‘round a corner and into the light, a good ten blocks away from the ‘scene’ he had just made.
Looking down to his watch, the assassin read the black-faced, gold accessory with no hands.
“2:43 huh…right on schedule. Damn I’m good…” the assassin took the moment to congratulate himself for not being late. He stepped forward rhythmically, walking along the illuminated path that lead straight for a building with two doors side-by-side and a brightly lit sign above reading “The Goblin’s Cove”. The building itself appeared nothing special; the Assassin raised his right hand and gripped the handle, pulling the door open and walking inside nearly in one movement.
Thirteen individuals, including the barkeep and three women at the bar were inside. Three more of these individuals were grouped together at one of the wooden, ordinary tables with ordinary wooden chairs sipping a scotch, brandy and ale; while the others were strewn out across the dimly lit, orange-yellowish room. Though the assassin made himself aware of those inside, he appeared to simply walk in with a down-cast gaze, looking at the creaky-wooden floor. Naturally he wasn’t so foolish a man.
He walked up to the bar and lifted his gaze, staring into the dull brown eyes of the average looking scum before him, otherwise known as the barkeep. Scraggly looking guy with nappy hair and a mustache, he just wasn’t easy on the eyes. Keeping his business to himself, the giant ordered a White Russian and stood patiently, making certain not to touch the grimy granite bar.
Reaching into his pocket, the man pulled out several multi-colored coins and dropped them on the bar as he took his drink, uttering a thank you and walking over to a far table in the west corner of the tavern. The nearer he came to the table, it became apparent to those few wandering eyes on the man’s back that he was meeting someone here, a man cast in shadow that even he couldn’t fully discern. As he approached the table, he pulled out a single chair, the man he was meeting sitting within the ‘booth’ side against the wall, and sat down lightly.
“2:45 on the dot, Mister Business man. The name’s Shadrach, or Mr. Darkholm if you will.” The large man’s rugged voice waltzed into the others’ ears, the duo far enough from the other occupants so that their discussion could easily be carried out in private. Shadrach, as he revealed himself to be, raised the cream coffee colored liqueur glass to his medium lips and sipped plentifully, keeping his dazzling blue eyes on the figure before him with a sinister grin…
Did any posts get lost or something?? Feels like somethings missing??
No. There was no posts missing. I deleted your previous one because it was unneeded. There was an announcement for such problems, and well, such problems are gone, so technically your post right now is just spam. >.>;
But anyway. I just recalled something. A while ago, PM attempted to join the BOD, and apparently had left TM. (Apparently stated so in a post in this exact thread some time ago. o_O; )
So.. I'm just wondering. Is PM still considered a member of TM? o_o;
I leave and rejoin fairly constantly. >_>
Ano would reaccept me again, if not, Godean would in his place. :p If you want it official, despite that BoD said outside members would be welcomed.
I'd type more, but my eyes feel bleedy. Wheeeee.
;_; /eyes
As I myself had almost made the terrible decision of converting to the Brotherhood in a time of peril I can understand to an extent his abandonment. However, if as he says he leaves quite frequently, that I can not say I am happy with. What to do with him lies out of my control, unfortunately.
P.S. I did not see the warning that there would be problems. I'm just glad it wasn't my computer crapping out on me. Thanks for clearing that up.
My my, what fools there have been in my absence.
Prodigal Madness, our little prodigal mage leaves our ranks all the time because he's a weasil and a back stabber. We love and hate him for it, but I don't think he ever left simply to join 'the winning side'. Though trying to pretend that anything the BOD might say about 'outsiders being welcome' in this conflict would hold ANY MEANING to the Circle of Nine is ignorant, even for him. But yes, as he says, I would probably accept him back...but I won't accept him as a participent in this conflict.
Nor will I accept you Slim, you traitorous dog. Less for your turn about to the BOD but more for your idiotic posturing do I believe you are not fit to be a Master. As if being the only Master here in this dead little offshoot club grants you some kind of say in what the clan as a whole will do. What a joke.
I have had howls coming at me ever since my return to do something about you. But all I will say is you're no longer welcome here, no longer a Master...and leave you to lie in the bed you have made for yourself. You are no longer my concern.
To Slims friends, to GrimmJaw, to you lot that want so badly to fight the BOD, feel absolutely free. Just not in this conflict. If this is to be a battle to decide if this pathetic excuse of an offshoot club continues to exist on this backwater forum, then it will be Masters only, and will be handpicked by the Circle of Nine. You want to join the club? There are procedures you can go through, but joining is no gurantee of participation.
Now that the riff raff are out of the way, GREETINGS BOD! Did you miss me? I know you must have, given you waited until my back was turned to try and launch a war! And after I'd been trying so hard for a month to get your cowardly little princeling to accept an invitation to battle, one on one, to kick off this little party. Well if your not up to foreplay, I've no problem skipping right to the good stuff.
Oh, but there is one thing. You want to attack us? You want to have a battle to decide our destruction, or your destruction? Then I'm afraid you will have to contend with the Fortress. You see, it is the seat of The Masters power, our home and energy source all in one beautiful little chaotic package. Thats not to say you'll have to fight inside it...no, I don't even expect you to be able to GET INSIDE our fortress, but if its a real war you want, a true victory, than you cannot hope to merely vanquish a handful of us an expect us to go away. You have to assault The Masters Keep.
Now...what else. Ahh, yes, the stipulation that we play by TFF rules. This was a real suprise to me coming from you lot. I would've thought you'd want to kill your enemies, eradicate them from the face of the earth, destroy their very characters. Of course, you could not do this by TFF rules anymore than I could turn into a three headed dragon. But then I'm happy to not play by the rules if you are...I know your honor is paper thin and that excites me. I'd hate to have a climatic last stand battle and think my enemies were not giving their all.
Oh, but you made the rules of this conflict non-negotiable...and my word...if we do not agree to the conflict it will count as some kind of loss?
Cute trick...Prodigal Madness tried it on us about two or three years ago when he tried to crash an airship into the Floating Fortress. We told him to **** off. But what kind of victory can you call it if you never fight us? PM paraded around his so called victory for about a week...and then realized no one cared. Thats not what you want BOD...such a young clan...you want Glory...gorey, gorey, Glory. You want to try and decimate us...we want to try and obliterate you. But if you don't want to play ball with me...with the Grand Master, Ambassador of The Masters, lord of the clan...then there's no rule anywhere that says we can't just ignore your inane prattly and continue about our business. Everyone else does.
Hah...even if that business IS to drift and die, eh Vicky?
Still...five on five sounds about right, unless you want to fight the entire Circle of Nine. I'll be performing the Kolobos ritual on your charming, if deluded leader and I'll have the Pillar of Mind, Time, Nature, and hopefully Conflict by my side. More on that as Masters trickle in from other, more important areas.
I'll be around...I shouldn't be as busy this weekend as I was last, and I look forward to lengthy discussions with the ever so intellegent members of the BOD. Oh, and I will only be accepting one ambassador from the BOD at this time...that being Toromor. All others should direct any 'official' words or 'authorized' comments to LocoColt. Save the unofficial ones for my pm box and reputation points...they do amuse me so.
Slim...if you have anything to say in your defense, keep it to PM...you're not allowed to post in this thread anymore.
There's also that clause regarding "unofficial" rules and the ability to create a battle (in this case, a series of battles) which have custom rules. As long as there is an OOC statement included at the top of the opening post and in a copy of the updated character profile (i.e. you should post a copy of your ungodly characters in their true, unrestricted glory and note that they are not for normal usage), then you can do whatever you feel.Quote:

As for the battle, I agree with Andromeda in one of your first pages, I have always been better at RP, though I can still write a good RPB. So just throw me whatever and I hope I impress.
I know I havn't been on here long, but I've been writing for a good long while.
Let me know.
Err? So, there are custom rule-set allowances here. My my, that's intriguing.
*Looks over to Anomaly and applauds*
Nice speech there pal. It's quite entertaining to watch someone with some semblance of a clue put others in their place and I must say you did so quite well. Hahaha. With your little appearance here I'm even more intrigued to join this group, and it isn't often I care enough to join a group of strangers.
Anywho, that application I posted is a mere taste (as is the character being used). I have others that have been in development for nearly ten years straight, one of which has never lost a battle and if someone wants the number I'll PM it to them.
The point I'm getting at here is that I'm a 'born and bred' fighter. I prefer to sew deep storylines into my battles, but when it comes down to the nitty-gritty, I am right at home with "senseless brawling". A ...resume, if you will. If there is a place for a ruthless slayer in your 'Club', then that is what I'm applying for. I was told to just post right in here.
I can also supply a link (in private), to the current site I roleplay the most at, pointing to various threads...as well as the War that is now coming to a close. That is, if anyone is bored or...even cares. That war in specific, eh, the opponents were morons so it may not be an entertaining read in the first place.
meehhh, whatever. Now I'm rambling. *Shrugs* Anyway, if there's a spot for me, I'd like to know soonish. Whether or not I fight in this encroaching skirmish isn't a make or break detail anymore. You could say I have an inexplicable hunch....yeah.
Excellent. Then I suppose its entirely up to Toromor...lets see just how lucky he feels. It would seem that though I'm available of a weekend, he has more interesting things to plan than war in his chatroom.Quote:

Hmm...I like the taste of what you've provided. Hand cannons and white russians are a pleasant mix and I've always adored weapons capable of not only decapitating ones enemies but decimating chunks of property. I believe I will accept your application. All that remains is for you to show your skill in a fight one on one with a Master.Quote:

Now with the war prep on, you might think we'll be a little busy to handle that little detail, but we'll see what we can work out. As I've already said, it doesn't look like the BOD is in too much of a hurry to get back to us at the moment.
So I'll open the floor to fellow Masters...does anyone wish to test Shadrach? (If you're looking to get in my good graces Mage, this would be a good chance for you. As our former 'headmaster' I've faith you can put him through the fire.) Otherwise I've no problem shaking the dust off of my wings for a little prelude to my march on the Black Shitidel, or whatever its being called at the moment.
As you are leaving the decision to Toromor, I have some things to say.
If he chooses to accept the proposal of custom rules, the two of you will need to collaborate with one another to reach some sort of mutual agreement. Even though this is his challenge, some boundaries need to be placed.
Will there be restrictions on godmodding?*
If not, then no whiny complaints will be honored as valid.
Will there be restrictions on magical-type powers?
If not, then no whiny complaints will be honored as valid.
Will there be restrictions on death?
If not, then no whiny complaints will be honored as valid... so long as death is handled in a mature fashion rather than "oh n then i kil u lulz," which I doubt would be something to worry about with the writers at hand here anyway.
*note: If the rule of godmodding is lifted for this series of challenges, note that FULL control of the opposing character would still be restricted. Partial control for the sake of smooth writing would be allowed in this case, but again this is only if the godmodding clauses are deemed null and void. Furthermore, you have every right to break down the godmodding clauses and choose which you will allow and which you will not. The glory of "no-rules" (custom rule) fights is that you have the freedom to keep what you like and toss what you don't.
I have to be very brief.
The conditions of battle stay. It will be a 5v5 battle. We have outlined our warriors and still await yours.
Anomaly, my personal challenge stands. Whatever you pretend, chickening out will brand you as a loser.
We will use customized rules regarding superhuman skills/magic.
There will be no restrictions on death and zero godmodding.
Details we be outlined before the war starts. I am willing to collaborate with Anomaly and the judge(s) on those.
Is there already an affirmed judge? Vicky said she'd do the job. Can someone confirm that? (Feel free to edit here.)
One more thing (before I continue my well deserved vacation muhahaha):
we did not wait until you "turned your back" to us. We give you a last chance to terminate your existence (in this realm) with a trace of honor instead of vanishing unnoticed and pitiable. You should kiss my boots for this, Anomaly.
Yes, I'm still doing it. Although it'd be nice to have a second to have a second opinion and such.
*Nods* Alrighty then. Good to hear, I'll be waiting for that order to be carried out. I'm trusting you need this assessment battle to last at least a few turns so as to display at least some sort of 'range' of ability.
I'll do this 'spar' against any one, but would love to see one of your toughest opponents hehe...^^.
Five on five is fine by me.Quote:

That sounds acceptable, though I suggest we collaborate over PM to avoid people piping in with comments and suggestions that could bog the process down. Though of course if you want deaths to be included, those can only come at the end of battle after a victor is confirmed.Quote:

I refuse to accept Vicky as a judge, be there a second judge or otherwise. I suggest LocoColt as the sole judge. If you can't accept this term than you might as well retract your challenge right now. If Colt refuses to judge...then we'll naturally discuss other alternatives.Quote:

BWAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, right. I come and go as I please, fade away and am born again from the Void at my whim. The day I kiss your boots is the day you convince one of your lackey's to impersonate me. If anything, you should be thanking me for sparing my time to give your pathetic challenge my attention. To give your peons something to do aside from spam up there little offshoot here.Quote:

But if you think you're doing me a favor, whatever. How sweet of your ToroMor.
I am glad to see this. Anything more would have seemed too cluttered. It also works because, as an odd number, there's no possible way for this war to come to a draw.Quote:

Therefore, character depth might not have to be important if you don't want it to be. We could discount spelling and grammar altogether, or I could be a nazi about it. There are probably a dozen other judgment-type things I look for in posts that we'll have to discuss at our conference.
Where before there was a clamoring and shouting of many voices, there is now silence.
An update for those that may take our silence as inactivity.
Negotiations have begun with myself, ToroMor and LocoColt in private. There are rules that are already nailed down but there are several more that will require discussion, and a few more that were brought to my attention just today. It is our hope that we can resolve these matters in a timely fashion, but do not expect actual battle to begin any earlier than August 15th.
To those Masters who may be truent from the offsite forum, we have begun a thread there for the posting of BIOs for those participating in the war and the reservists. If you are participating in the war, or would like to, I'd urge you to go to the offsite forums and post your profile. (Prodigal Mage, Godean, this means you)
Are there any questions?
Anomaly, you may wish to check your PM box. Upon receiving the combined applications of yourself and ToroMor, I have put together a list of suggestions, requests, and questions that require attention before we get this underway.
To the rest of the faction:
Consult your leaders regarding character alteration. There will be a separate forum which only the participants and the reserves will have access to post in (though all will have read access, making for quite the show). Prepare your characters accordingly and have them ready for review as soon as possible. Ideally, this new forum and the character thread will be in place within the next two days.
edit:
Side note... all this talk of war seriously has my blood pumping. I will be posting a restricted open challenge to those who have previously competed in a Tournament of Arms in a battle -- just for fun -- to keep me occupied. It will move at a slow pace as I work often, but I want something to occupy my downtime outside of reading and videogames. I figured I would leave a note in here (and in the other faction) in case someone is looking for some extra side-action. Only characters legal by standard rules would be allowed for the fight, but I just want some fun. First come, first serve. A post in the thread, whenever it goes up, claiming acceptance of the challenge will be allowed.
Pardon the double post.
All warriors should now have access to post in The Battlegrounds. I created a new usergroup titled "Warmongers" and added it as a secondary group for all participants. It /should/ grant access to post for all members of the group. If for any reason this doesn't work properly, I will have to swap it to your primary usergroup when I get back home. My apologies in advance if you find yourselves unable to post during this time period.
edit:
Okay, I have two hours before I have to be back up at work for the midnight Madden release, so I need to know for sure whether or not you guys are able to post in The Battlegrounds forum. If anyone has a character profile ready to go, I implore you to move forward and post it. If the access rights are screwed up for any reason, I need to know this before I leave, as I won't be getting home until 2am or so.
A little late, but I guess the access rights are fine. I just posted my bio and something in the Q&A thread.
Oh snap, I've got a set of mid-term exams right in the middle of the 'war'. W00t. That makes for awesome times. I'll be studying physics and plotting moves at the same time.
I do love a challenge. :D
War.
It has been a long time since I have had the ability to speak on this subject without casting my thoughts longingly to the past. It has been so long since we have fought a true war.
I look back at so many battles to bring down the tyrants who oppressed our fellow Masters. I remember the absorption of the Dark Omen, that battle which laid the foundations for our Military Division. After that…I remember the cold wars…the sometimes short lived, sometimes long drawn out dramas, that presaged the destruction of those who so unwisely opposed us.
But even those times have long been lost to us…until now.
We who were born from chaos and strife. We who return, to be bathed in the fires of that chaos time and time again, do so once more!
This time will be no different. Did we not obliterate the Empyrean when their lord sought to master us? Did we not drive out the Fortuna Diaboli when they screamed for our blood? Did we not send the Legion of Angels hurtling into extinction? Have we not mastered one clan after another, devouring what would make us stronger and destroying what would make us weak?
This is our hour! This is our day! Will you let them take our victory away from us? Will you let them sit in their tower, snidely chuckling away when we know, not think, but know DEEP in our marrow that we...are...BETTER!
No my Masters, I do not think that you need to prove yourselves here today. Nor do I feel that we face some great enemy that must be destroyed at any cost. No, rather I feel that for us to continue here, we must continue to be WHO WE ARE…and do what we do best.
We shall destroy, my Masters...or be destroyed in the process.
Some of you may die. Know that your sacrifice will be remembered, honored, and sung so long as a single Pillar stands. Do not lose heart. Do not let the incompetence of our enemies stir you to pity, nor their arrogance cloud your judgement. We will CRUSH all who oppose us...and devour those that remain.
Let there be Salvation in our Domination.
To our enemies I say only this.
Join us, or Perish!
When the hell is the war supposed to be getting started? =/
Last Friday ^_^ isn't it grand?
*sigh* well I hoped it wouldn't have to come to this, but we may have to take matters into our own hands.
I've gotten a text message from Lococolt saying that his phone lines have been out since Sunday, but should be fixed by tomorrow. He's used the time to prepare everything, so as soon as he gets back online, everything should be under way.
Thanks. Have a nice day. o_O;
Maybe I'm just too picky, but there never seems to be any good original RPs on this site.
I'm getting so tired of some of the boring and unoriginal crap that people post here. It reminds me too much of Gaia...
Well thats good to hear. If there's further problems though, Toro and I have agreed to come up with the initial posts between the two of us. (Not that I'd see us having much chance in agreement on the terrain, but you never know)Quote:

Hah, just about every place is a refelction of that insipid little cesspool these days. A lot of the soul has gone out of RP...even if you find a good one its like to die after a week. I blame our generation thats going out (which doesn;t have time for RP anymore really) and the new generation thats coming in (that doesn;t have the patience for it rally).Quote:

Who knows though...maybe they'll make an artform out of chatroom brawls.
They were supposed to be out Thursday or Friday. It's Sunday night. I'm borrowing internet and my notes are at home. Please refer to your inbox as well as the Q&A thread... and hopefully the problem on my end is resolved shortly.
Go figure... for once, I'm NOT having computer problems... it's the damn phone lines.
/sigh
Update on the war.
Battle settings have been loosely agreed upon as well as the set up for the introductory post for the war itself. Work has begun on a first draft for the introductory post by ToroMor and drafts for each battle that will branch off from this introduction are in the works by myself. We hope to get this war underway ASAP and are using our free time to see that this will be the case.
More updates will follow, but I wanted to let you lot know that we ARE working on this since Colt is not able to. The war will take place, but it will obviously be slightly delayed.
And I'm still borrowing teh intarwebz.
What kills me the most is that we're sitting here, paying our DSL bill, and not getting internet. ;_; This whole phone thing is just obnoxious. Still, I'm honestly not inclined to swap my service or anything of the sort... shit happens, I suppose. I just have really awesome timing.
Feel free to push back the ending deadline as well, if you all wish to do so. If I catch a note about a date that you all settle on, I'll go edit it in the official mumbo jumbo thread later.
Ok Colt. Though if I were you I'd refuse to pay for services I was not technically receiving.
Just an update, I've seen the first draft for the war intro and it looks pretty good. Only a few minor changes here and there are necissary and it should be ready to post by the end of the week. I've shared the first drafts of each battle intro with ToroMor and am just waiting to here word back from him before I go into the 2nd/Final draft stage (depending on if there are any major disagreements).
It's looking like we should be able to finally get things started this week, but I think we'll hold off on selecting a final date to push back the end of the war for when we actually know what specific day the war is going to start.
And happy birthday Tainted Mage =P
I get an email... yet I see no thread.
>_>
<_<

I'm going back to nursing my ongoing headache now. =/
Which no, is not from being 21 and the whole legal drinking thing. If only, then it'd be gone by now. z_z
The War has officially started as of now.
If you have the first post you have seven days from this time in which to make that post. I suggest, however, that you post at your earliest convience. I'll likely make my first post tomorrow when I've a bit of spare time.
But for those whos patience has worn thin beyond comapre...the war is on. The war is now.
I feel the same but as was already said most people don't have the time. I my self have not had anytime at all but then again I could make time. Anyways....
I now have started school and I got lucky and got a comp. class that we don't do anything in so I can get on here an hour a day. I’m sorry to everyone for not being on near like I wish I should. This is like the 3rd post like this I have had to submit. Anyways just letting u all know I should be here to stay now.
Thanks
Dark One
Alright... I'm back. Thanks for the E-mail Ano. Now... in order to keep my self from scrolling through all the previous pages, can I get an overview of the said WAR to take place? I would very much like to throw my sword into the mix. Hopefully I can stay motivated long enough to battle through and through.
Well long story short, the BOD have challenged us to war. We accepted fairly immediatly, but I was gone for a month so not a whole lot got done. Once I was back to officially accept the challenge, there was a period of negotiation on the terms of the war in which it was decided the war would last for about a month or two, be held between five members from each clan (with five members in reserve in case of emergency), would essentially ignore most of the usual rules of the RPB section, and would result i nthe destruction of whichever clan loses, including the deaths of those characters who lose in battle.
This is all to be judged by LocoColt. After that there was about a month where we tried to get the rest of everything set up, battle grounds and what not, and thus actual fighting has only begun recently. It's a little slow right now, but I'm hoping we can take this the whole way.
Unfortunately, you weren't around when we were picking reserves. I don't know if you can participate in this war or not. Even as a reserve, there's a chance you'd never be needed. So I'm afraid you missed the boat on this one :p I'm sure there will be other wars here for you to champion. Provided we are victorious in this one of course.
And another thing to keep in mind, since you weren't around for all the talks -- though the losing clan's TFF branch is to be demolished, its members are still more than welcome to float around the forums. No users are actually being forced to leave, just to shut down their club thread. The RP and RPB forums are always open to everyone, and I'd hope that you wouldn't be compelled to leave should the clan lose. I know everyone always complains about the caliber of the writing sometimes, but it's tough to hold a forum full of good threads when everyone who writes well keeps leaving. ;!
In any case, pull up a chair and watch the war. That's what I'm doing. I'm letting it run its course relatively ungoverned until it's time to close it down. The forum is read-only for anyone who is not a participant, just so you know Shelus. It's a subforum of the existing RPB forum, so you know where to find it.
Indeed. Watch I shall. As for where I'll be... just lurking. If you do end up needing me though, just mention me and I'll catch it. Sadly, I have not much else to type so sorry if this post is somewhat short. Anywhom, good luck on the War for all participants and may your posts be golden and true.
Shelus, it's been along time now. Also, you still owe me a fight from the one we never finished. I have gotten a lot better in the time I have been off here. So if you would like! It would be great if I could get another chance.
Very well Dark. Toss up the thread anytime you feel you are willing to face me with your all. Do not hold back friend... if you do, there will be nothing else to hold on to. You will of course be facing Shelus. As for the setting and time frame, since you are creating the thread... these things I leave up to you.
Okay shelus give me this weekend to get my guy all ready and get the first post done and all. So by monday I should be ready. I wish you luck also we need someone to loco to tell the winer. I wish you luck!!! I may have it up tom. all matter on how much time i have on my hands!
Also i would like to us the guy i was using in our last fight. IDK if his to out dated? Also Shelus i have got better but my spelling has not lol so im sorry for that and im going to try and reread everything i type!

It's good to see you guys keeping the club active while the wars going on. I must confess I've not had too much time to devote to the online world lately...but then that was the case even before the war.
Funny, all this activity has really stired up the mud at the bottom of the pond. There are things writhing around now that I haven't thought about in what feels like years. Hell it probably has been years. I've been making enemies and allies for awhile. *grins* probably more of the one than the other....there's certainly no end to annoying bastards that need to be put in their place.
Eh well...I'm thoroughly enjoying myself right now in the war and you lot should be too. I can't wait to see how your fight turns out.
It's almost Halloween...so do you guys have any plans for costumes yet?
