That does make a lot of sense. At first when I seen that Aizen was behind everything, I didn't know his true intentions of faking his death. The episode after he revealed himself explained his reason for compiling his plans but I still didn't know how EXACTLY he intended to become a hollow. Because the way Ichigo did it, his took total control of his body and mind.

I can't wait till Aizen and those two other captins come back. I hope the Soul Society, Ichigo, and the others train hard. Aizen was beating almost everybody one-on-one.

Does Ichigo still have troubles with his hollow half? Because once you submit the hollow to your will you becoming a Vizard. So I would imagine that it would be difficult for the hollow to take control at that point. There would have to be a lot of damage to the Vizard or mental damage allowing the hollow back in. I guess that would be possible.

I think it would probably more likely to happen that a shinigami going through the same issues that Ichigo is with the hollow taking over at times emerges while he trying to suppress it completely or something. At that point the hollow wins the fight rather than the shinigami and becomes a hollow. Then he could end up becoming an arrancar. Though I would have to wonder where a hollow would stand if it took over at the level of a captain/bankai shinigami. Could it just become a natural arrancar or would it become a menos or high level hollow. The pictures of hollowification of Ichigo during the arrancar arc shows me looking hollow-ish, but also different from the normal every day hollows.

Yeah, that explains a lot too. But what I'm wondering about is how was Aizen able to create hollows? He already knows some forbidden hado techniques and he can kill em without drawing his sword so I don't question his power. It's just I don't know how he was able to create such hollows, each with a special, distinct ability. That episode when he went after Rukia he was explaining the barrier between a hollow and a soul reaper. I understand he made those hollows hoping that he could break that barrier but how would he be able to fuse with the hollow and still maintain his body and mind without it doing the same? It's all too complex for me to comprehend.

Hopefully you guys can give me an explanation thats more thorough..... :)

a special item created by the one, the only Urahara Kisuke on his side! ^^; It's called the Hogyoku, and it dissolves that barrier between shinigami (soul reaper) and hollow. I don't really think they explain to us exactly how it works, though? There may be something in the Japanese manga at this point, but that's Rasler's area of expertise. ^^;

Oh, and just a note, the Hogyoku wasn't made for Aizen...he stole it. Of course. I hope that helps a bit.

I can't really explain to you the theory behind how the Hogyoku works, though if you're just talking about subduing that inner hollow and getting it under your control...the easiest (and maybe only?) method would be to literally subdue it in the Ichigo Fashion. Which basically means to fight it in that little world inside your head. Have they showed that on adult swim yet? With the side ways buildings? (I can't remember if it has a name ;_; ) If you lose, you do lose your mind. The hollow takes over. So its pretty risky. You have to have a strong mind and will. As for the hollow retaining a conscious mind, I think it's pretty much there in the background. It just doesn't bother you unless it thinks you're really stupid. Well, maybe not even then. ^^; We haven't really seen an inner hollow bother someone after it's been subdued and the person's become a fully fledged vizard (shinigami who harnesses his/her hollow powers).

I do hope that provides you with some answers. Keep in mind though, that what's in those spoiler tags really are spoilers. Most of it at least. You probably know of some of it already...but I can't make any promises with my limited knowledge of the english anime.

Two methods have been shown for forcing Shinigami/Hollow hybrids: Urahara’s Hogyoku and Aizen’s currently unknown method.

Ichigo is unique in that he is a “natural” Vizard. During his transformation into a Hollow, he awakened his dormant Shinigami powers, resulting in a hybrid. It is unknown if this was deliberately orchestrated by Urahara or a fortunate accident.
The other Vizards are resultant from Aizen’s method forcing a Hollow transformation on shinigami and Urahara trying to fix them with the Hogyoku, resulting in hybrids.

Each sentient Hollow is unique in appearance. But it is interesting to note that once a Hollow reaches Adjucha class, it is almost invariably covered in the same plaster-like material as the Hollow mask. When Arrancar release their zanpakuto, the resulting transformation is typically covered in this material as well. When Ichigo briefly changes into a full Hollow, his Hollow body is covered in this material.

Aizen’s method of befriending, creating, and experimenting on Hollows pre-Hogyoku/defection is currently unknown.

The "Turn Back the Pendelum" Arc is answering quite a few questions we thought up since the club began.

The most recent publications of the manga show how the current Vizard (with the exception of Ichigo) became what they are.

Spoiler: The "mission" starts out as recon to meet up with a separate Soul Reaper squad sent to investigate something, I can't remember right off the top of my head what it was. Anywho, the second group starts to become Hollows for some unknown reason. Shinji reaches them and he too becomes a Hollow. Then guess who shows up? Aizen, young Gin, and Tousen. Then Urahara appears and the guy who assist him at the shop. The guy uses a high level Kido on them but Aizen uses a forbidden Kido to block it.

I doubt Aizen actually "befriends" any Hollow to use them for his experiments to create Arrancar. Some might have common ideals as he does and choose to align themselves with him. Some might just have been taken due to his immense Spiritual Pressure. Others may have just chosen to become a Arrancar to become stronger.

Also, knowing Kiskue, I'm sure he counted on using Ichigo to have him become a Vizard so he could probably either redeem himself when he used Rukia to harbor the Hogyouku or just be strong enought to take on Aizen.

Yeah, you guys are answearing a lot of my little side-thought questions but I'm still confused about how Aizen is trying to become a Hollow. Kiskue (in episode #68) was explaining what Aizen had to do to unlock the full potenial of the Hogyoku and become a Hollow. Yeah that's good to know and all but why/how is that all required for him to become one? I understand it allows him to be in unison with a hollow but does he have to fight against his inner hollow like Ichigo did when he was sent to his hollow-counterpart's world? It's a lot to debate and think about trying to conclude Aizen's method.

Also, well this is a spoiler so.....

Spoiler: In episode #68, Ichigo wasn't able to use his Bankai against those 3 people that was helping Urahara test him. What's the deal with that when it has been only a couple days he's been outside of the World Of The Living? Is because a Soul Reaper's power is weakened being there for so long or is it a certain condition that a Soul Reaper has to be at always to achieve Bankai? In that case, wouldn't it be better if he trained there instead to make his training worth while and be able to endure a longer period when using his Bankai? This question kinda seems obvious to me but I want to know yall's opinion.....

Its sadly been a while since I've posted. I don't know why I haven't since I've had plenty to say. But anyway, first things I got to see Memories of Nobody in the theater. It was so awesome being able to watch it on the big screen. It happens with so few anime that I actually took off of work a couple hours to go see it. ^^; Yeah, I felt really guilty during it.

But I finally got to see the movie and it was pretty good. It was a fun 90 minutes with all of the characters showing up to have their 2 minutes of awesome fight time. It was fun though to see Rukia back with Ichigo, though it makes you wonder when it is placed seeing as Rukia just naturally is there. But it can easily be any time and just explain it as Rukia getting assigned to Karakura. Though Renji is during the Bount Arc.

Anyway, that aside we are in full Bount Arc now on AS. It has been interest for the most part watching it since it is a far more interesting filler arc than the junk that Naruto is putting out. It also have Yoruichi and Soifon doing things and Urahara up to his usual tricks. All of the kidnapping and things was getting a little old, but now it sounds like the real fighting is going to begin now. At least I know what is up with those three talking dolls that are like Kon in the Arrancar Arc that I see in openings and what not. It is them. With their mod soul pills put in stuff animals.

As for Aizen and what he is up to with the Hogyuko. I don't really think that he is so much planning on becoming a hollow. He is just planning on breaking the barrier that exists between his shinigami and hollow halves allowing him to become a Vizard like Ichigo. I think it would be more trouble for him if he tried to be a hollow and go Arrancar. But who knows its Aizen and he is stupidly powerful. I can only imagine what would happen when he fights his hollow into submission and he goes hollowification outside. All of the power that he has it could mean destruction of an entire area of wherever he happens to be at.

Oh and I picked up four more volumes of the Bleach manga which puts me into the Arrancar Arc now. So it is a little weird skipping ahead of the anime seeing what is going to be happening while being in the past.

Spoiler: There was only a couple chapters into the arc, but it is enough to spoilers. Shinji shows up to talk to Ichigo. Ichigo's father reveals himself to be a captain level shinigami and kills Grand Fisher saving Kon and reveals that he is not so dumb. And Uryu's father shows up as well revealing himself to be probaby of captain level Quincy surprising Uryu. It was pretty cool seeing how easily he handled the hollow. But now he is offering Uryu a way to get his powers back, but not allowing him to have any business with Shinigami anymore.

I have two more volumes left to get and I will be all caught up on Bleach. It should be very interesting to see since the Arrancar show up and it is has the fight with Ikkaku and an Arrancar.

Anyone notice that Shinji looks exactly like Johnny Tambourine from Saul and the Molemen? Don't believe me...look here.

It's nice that Tessai is finally given some backstory, but I wish that there would be some explanation about Komomura, Ururu, and Jinta. I still suspect that Ururu and Jinta are artificial souls (Not mod souls) created by Urahara, much like Nemu was created by Mayuri.

Sadly, I have been unable to check out Bleach this week. I've been at a relative's house with no anime access. I'll be home tomorrow, though, and will be able to watch it. More filler. Funny that Japan and America are both on filler arcs at the same time.

I have also come to a horrible realization that made me laugh and nearly cry all at the same time. I have been spelling zanpakuto incorrectly for ages. I've been happily spelling it the way it sounds as "zanpuktou." Why has no one corrected me? ;_; I feel very stupid at the moment. Now I have to correct anything important. ^^;

Well, there's your quick update for the day. I'll try to be more on top of things now that school's out.

I caught "Saul of the Molemen" a couple times on [AS] but it never tickled my fancy. Actually, not many of those supposedly funny comedy shows they have do. But I must say, that guy DOES look a bit like Shinji. I suppose it's that haircut. It kinda looks like he's from Sweden or somewhere with it short. Longer, he looks more like Ukitake.

The enitre "Turn Back the Pendelum" arc in the manga was great. It answered plenty of questions I had, and probably some others had. Komamura will probably be explained later. I suspect he will be the one to fight Kaname and it will be explained there. Ururu and Jinta, hmm... I doubt they are like Nemu, that is more Mayuri's thing as opposed to Urahara's. They are probably orphans found by Yoruichi or Urahara or Tessai in the Rukon District. Either that or they could just be from the Living World and have spiritual powers.

Also, Xeim, I would love to become a Vice-Captain. I'll pick Squad 3 since it looks like Toph is close to becoming a Vice-Captain in Squad 2. And thank goodness school is over, ain't it Xeim? I have one more year left of High School then it is over. It seems so long ago that I became interested in Bleach. But it has only been 3 or 4 years (I think). I think I was a freshman in High School or 8th grade; depending on when I did become interested.

Hey I'm new to this forum and I love anime, bleach being one of my favorite. I was just wondering if it was possible that I could join this club. I was also reading the RP that thsi club is involved in and if I could join, that would just be amazing. I love RP'ing and I would love to post in it.

I never really cared for Saul of the Molemen either aside from it's opening(sung by Trey Parker). [AS] had a lot of shows that were only to fill their time spaces and various contracts, a lot of them were nothing shows. However they do show Bleach and a couple other decent shows.

They don't show near enough Bleach, though.

Hi everyone! x3 I just wanted to say I'm really sorry for not posting or being on at all actually but any way I wanted to say that I'm back and I'll try to be more active. I had to take a huge break from the internet all together because of school and all, but since its summer I can get on a lot more. I am also planing on active in the Memories of Shinigami RP. I plan on posting either later today or early tomorrow. Anyways I hope you all forgive me for my absence. ^_^;

I was looking at the list of the current activities for the club and i saw the filler arc is that like a rp but with random adventures like a filler because so far it seams like an awesome activity. Along with all the others set up there. I do have a question though how douse the versus activity work do two members just rp with the characters of the anime or something because that was the one thing that confused me a little. o.o

It's all right. I was like that too for a bout a couple of weeks then I just started to get back on track with my posts and updates.

Anywho, a question that's been lingering in my mind is how did the Soul Society become what it is now? I know I could get that info off of books or manga, but I wouldn't have the slightest idea on where to get/find em'.

There has been no explanation of Soul Society's creation in any official media as of yet. It just is. It serves as the opposing side to Hueco Mundo, just as Heaven naturally opposes Hell. Hell is canon in the Bleach universe, but it's been fairly shady about Heaven. It is confirmed that there is another level beyond Soul Society, where the King of Soul Society and his royal guard reside.

Hence the source of the main conflict:

Spoiler: Aizen is secretly the antagonist until he is discovered but he acquires the item he needs to create an army of hybrids so he defects and plans to use the army to destroy a town to create a key to enter the plane where the King of Soul Society lives to kill him, and rule as God. From this, we can roughly assume that the King has some sort of godly authority.

The filler arc is where we basically come up with the basis for a filler arc. i.e, villains, plotline, setting. We had never really planned to write the whole thing out, but we could if it ever got to that stage. However, most of the members lost interest in it before we really got it going, so there's really nothing going on with it at the moment. If you have ideas, though, you're welcome to post them up. Maybe we can bring it back.

The vs. activity is where a member posts up two characters that they would like to see fight, and then another member says who they think would win and why.

Anyway, welcome back, Yuuki! I do hope you stay active. I'll go ahead and stick you into one of the divisions, but if you have one you'd prefer to be in, please tell me.

Oh, ok I was confused by it, thank you for explaining the vs for me Xeim. Unfortunately I have no ideas for the filler arc right now, I'll post them if i do though. Right now I should post in the rp though I've been procrastinating for a while now. ^_^;

By the way is anyone else looking forward to the bleach movie "Bleach: Memories of Nobody" I think comes out in America pretty soon. I Still need to find out more but is anyone planing to see it? :3

I thought the movie had already come out? Oh well, I don't pay much attention to the english releases of bleach stuff. I already saw the movie in Japanese, though, and I did like it. I can't wait until Diamond Dust rebellion comes out on DVD so that it gets subbed and uploaded onto the internet. ^^;

As for the anime, it seems the filler arc has just finally gotten going. -_- I was wondering how they were going to tie the two seemingly unrelated events together. I really would like to get back to the arrancar arc, though. I like the new captain and everything, but I'd rather see what happens next. ^^;

Personally, I dislike the bakkoutou. Parasitic swords? That's pushing it a little. They sort of strike me as being rouge zanpakuto. While a normal zanpaktou answers to only one master, these swords will respond to any. They're probably completely unrelated, but still.

It would be interesting to find out how they are made. They can't be manifestations of someone's soul or energy, because that would be a zanpakuto. Anyway, thoughts, questions, comments on these?

Well I'm finally feeling like I'm ready to rejoin normal society again. 70 hours are killing my ability to be able to post things. But anyway, I don't know why I haven't been posting my Bleach recaps like I always did. So I'm going to try to restart that previous tradition that I had. The quick check up is that we are in the Bount Arc on Adult Swim and are starting to see things really start to heat up.

This episode picks up where they left off from the last episode. Ichigo and Renji exit out of the hospital only to find that it is raining outside making it a little difficult to get Uryu away from the Bounts hunting them down. The dolls that they use seem to be fairly powerful to be making fools of Ichigo. But I find their straight forward approach to everything in the episode and last episode a little annoying. I know Uryu is the brains, but you have Rukia and Renji, alright Rukia. She has to come up with something better than firing kido spells at it endlessly. And why isn't she doing her Shinigami thing like Renji.

Anyway, they are obviously cornered by the Bounts and the water dolls that have them blocked. Ichigo, Renji and Rukia do the brave thing and try to hold off the Bounts long enough for Uryu to escape with Chad and Orihime. Ichigo's group is caught really quickly in a manner that seemed so obvious that they should have done it the last episode to everyone and ended. They did it to like one person at a time. But I guess I understand that they were just playing with them and now they were serious. Still seems like they were just needless dragging out the fight.

Once the Bounts realize that Uryu is too far away now Ichigo's group is released and able to breath again. And now we finally get to see Chad do something other run around. I've been feeling like he has been pretty useless especially after he was unfortunately put up against a captain shinigami that so completely defeated him that Chad never stood a chance. Chad actually seems like he has an even fight with these two if it was not for the fact of their water always reforming. He even ends up knocking them down. The Bounts themselves seem pretty weak leaving everything up to their dolls to do the work.

Chad manages to knock down the Bount long enough to give them the time to escape again. Now we flash back to Ichigo where he suddenly has the plot necessary realization of the two Bounts weakness so that they can end the fight this episode. Seeing that they continue to make out Ichigo as been an idiot in strategy and tactics this seems like a strange thing to be coming from him. I would have expected it from Renji or Rukia rather than Ichigo.

They all finally met back up with everyone in a building for the final showdown between the twins and Ichigo's very large group of apparently weak individuals. Oh well, teamwork is not really their strong point, as Urahara made a point to them at the beginning of this arc. Anyway, Uryu is caught and they are holding him hostage to keep the others back. This seems a little strange since they should already know that they can't afford to have him killed since a Quincy is important to their plans. And seeing as he is the "last" Quincy they can't exactly kill him. But they don't see that as a point and are caught in a way that was finally cool to watch and different.

They push water into all of their bodies allowing them to control the water inside their bodies and thus building up the pressure or whatever inside them until it kills them. It was actually a pretty intelligent use of their powers and the first thing that I really got behind from these last two episodes. At that point things went better with the guy that can make portals separating the twins from the other knocking him unconscious leaving the other to fight alone.

At this point Ichigo and company are freed from the hold that was on them and they start fighting pointlessly again. For a moment I thought that Rukia missing was going to serve some purpose since she was always an intelligent and smart fighter. But it ends up being nothing as Ganju and Hanataro appear to save the day. Ganju pretty much accidentally wins, though they make it seem like it was done on purpose. His fireworks explode the water and conveniently burn up the caps that were the real dolls. At which point the Bounts die as Rukia reveals to the audience and everyone that once the dolls die the Bounts die as well since they are all well past their normal lifespan.

And yet none of them realize to the very end that the caps were the real target that they should have been going after the entire time. It was just by sheer cinematic chance/luck that Ganju killed them. If Ichigo or Rukia was thinking they could have killed them quickly.

And now Uryu is walking on his own away from the others. The Bounts are all gathered now as well apparently. So the storm is coming and everything is coming to a head I guess. I'm hoping for some better fights as it has been a little disappointing so far.

On another note, I've finally caught up with the manga that has been released in the US. Which is at volume 23 with the arrival of the Arrancar to Karakura Town and everyone having to fight their own Arrancar. I can't wait to see it in motion on TV. The fights that I have read so far are looking pretty amazing and I got to see more of Rukia's Zanpukto in action. It was also hilarious to see the shinigami showing up at Ichigo's school like that.

I also got the first season of Bleach as they are calling it. I don't really think it is the full season, but it is the first 20 episodes covering the Karakura Arc of Bleach and Ichigo becoming a true shinigami without the powers of Rukia inside him.

On the note of Rukia, she almost immediately goes into her shinigami form in the Arrancar Arc when she arrives, but in the Bount Arc all she has been doing is kido attacks. They were fighting a water doll, her Ice Zanpukto would have stopped them so fast they would have not had anything that they could do against them. But she does nothing and just sits on their hands letting them all almost get killed a couple of times. Rukia really could have saved them in that fight, but refused and played the idiot.

Was that the discussion bait? ^^; I'm going to comment on it even if its not...

One reason Rukia didn't use her zanpakuto in that arc is that it was filler and her zanpakuto hadn't been shown in canon anywhere before hand. If Bleach started introducing canon in the middle of filler it'd end up like the Naruto anime...and we don't want that to happen. Her zanpakuto might not have even been developed at the time that first aired...but I could be wrong since I was never following the manga.

Plus, at that point, isn't she still recovering from her ordeals during the previous arc? I don't know, its been a while since I watched that segment, so I have trouble remembering.

Really, what I want to know two things I'll try not to go so far out of topic with both concerns.

My first question is where did the Bounts come from? I skipped a couple episodes because our Tivo was acting stupid and didn't record on a couple Sundays' but this is something that has me baffled. I know the explanation and history of the Bounts (episode 77 American televised) but I don't know how they reached the World Of The Living.

Now, my second concern is why is Kenpachi so strong and his Zanpakuto doesn't do/give off any abilities? There must be some reason because Kenpachi is too strong being a human... or is he? Any help would do... please :)

Kenpachi is obvious. He doesn't know his Zanpakutou's name. As for why he's so strong and stuff, that's never revealed. It's also never really revealed how the Bounto (wtf is Bounts? Seriously.) make it to earth, I think. It may have been, but it's been so long that I don't remember.

In the English dub they call them Bounts and not Bounto, which is pretty close. Anyway, the Bounts while not completely explained are said to be born and are unable to give birth themselves. So they make me think of them being like the immortals in Highlander. They are born by normal human beings and just a random genetic anomaly. However, they did say that only a certain number of Bounts can exist. So it seems that when one dies somewhere else another is born to maintain the balance or something like that.

As for Kenpachi like Shadow said there is not really a reason given for him. He just simply has a tremendous amount of spirit energy beyond any one else. It is the only thing that allows him to be at the level of a captain with the boosting from a released zanpukto.

I watched episode 80 a couple weeks ago and I'm pretty amazed on what all was going on. Kahiya (sry if spelled wrong) had gathered all the Bounts to show them the purpose the Beetle Dolls served. I'm not going to spoiler the episode but at the end of it, Renji was fighting the Beetles trying to save a child from suffering having his life force drained from him. Kahiya said something about what would happening if a Beetle was killed. I want to find that out because they didn't show a new episode for that week so I can't wait till they show what happens.

I saw that movie!

(Do not read if you haven't watched the movie)

Spoiler: It was pretty cool in the first half of the movie, but it started sucking towards the end where Sojiro Kusaka turned into a dragon. The only thing I liked about the movie is how they focused on another character aside from Ichigo and the gang, but Ichigo stole Hitsugaya's spotlight anywaysand did most of the work. *sigh* What a bastard!

I can't wait for the third Bleach movie, Goodbye Rukia!

How is the Bleach RP going?

Haven't seen you around in forever Suzu. The RP is plugging away still we are getting our Zanpakutos now, so we are past the class stuff. So it is getting to be more interesting. Your character is still running around though albeit a lot different than when you were playing him I'd imagine. But I didn't have a lot to go off when I had to pick him up.
