    I Apologize.

I just joined the other day and wasnt sure where to start. I Loved FF7 and wanted to play it again. I asked a question that i thought was harmless. My son and I played it years ago. I have no Idea how we stumbled onto the greatest game ever! My Name Is Patrick, nice to meet you all. ♥

    Welcome to the boards Patrick!

In regards to your problem about finding FF7, I think finding a hard copy for the PS1 will be super expensive. If you guys have a PS3 or PS4, you can purchase a digital copy from the PlayStation Store for 10-15 dollars.

    Hope this helps.

I don't know much about ultimate memory cards, but you should be able to just use the PS3 harddrive, though you won't be able to import your old saves.

TY, i have no old saves, so that isnt a worry. Just very frustrating is all, you would think a Ps3 could play everything. To be truthful i asked this question on google maybe and they told me to make a virtual memory card which i did but it wouldnt save it
    thanks for trying to help.

The ps3 should create its own memory cards, in the same 15 data block style like the ps1 physical memory cards. You just have to save your game and it'll come up

If you're talking about using an old FFVII disk on a ps3 then unless you have one of the first gen ps3's that were backwards compatible I think you're out of luck. My brother's purchased both VII and IX off the play store onto his ps3 and it plays like any other game.

I have the blue ps3 slim, from I think 2013. I can still play my ps1 discs on it.

All PS3 systems /should/ play PS1 games. It was the PS2 games that can only be played by the first two waves of PS3 hardware.

I'm not positive why your virtual memory cards are not saving properly. The system is allowing you to play the games, yes?

I think you have to go to the XMB menu and create a virtual memory card, which you give a name, first.
