Why don't you start off by telling us your favorite Final Fantasy? Mine would have to be XII.

VII. Definitely VII. IV is good too though, and I haven't finished or played the others enough to tell how good they are.

VII's a great game, I love the Materia combinations you can create near the end of the game. Cid's triple growth weapon and colourful language makes him my favourite character, although Cloud pre-broodiness would be a close second.

Do you like any other videogame series outside of Final Fantasy?

Hm... Well I like Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog (the old ones, haven't played anything past the old Genesis games), Super Mario Bros., Pokemon, Epic Mickey.... not too fond of FPS games though. To me they're all the same game tweaked slightly and given new character textures, or at least all the new ones are.
