Guiizzeee. Everytime I go to Gamestop all the guys working there stare at me like I don't belong.
They always assume I'm "buying something for my boyfriend" or stand and hover over me as if I need help breathing or something.

Because of social dogma. It says that girls hate games because they drive mens attention away from them.
There is a nice looking red-headed girl that works at my local gamestop, what throws me off is the fact that she gives me suggestions on what games are good or not.

Come on now, there are stereotypes for a reason, think about the 'talent' pool of the gaming world, sure its exaggerated, but when you break it down to the people hardcore enough to get a job there. You are going to be right in the home of that stereotype.
You aren't going to get many 'random' people working there, gamestop is always gonna hire people with gaming experience, and when you combine it with those stereotypes. You are going to frequently get the more socially awkward around girls group most often.
Throw that together with the fact that many girl gamers use the fact that they are a girl to advance in many guilds/clans in games. As opposed to talent, you frequently get girls that are unqualified for the role they play, which makes them bad at it.(tldr girls are bad at games)

Well, 86% of adolescent girls lack thumbs before they turn into women, so it's not surprising that she may not have them (or even know how to use them!)
They are sexist. I remember applying there a few years back and not getting so much as a call back, but yet they hired my female friend, which 90% of her gaming experience comes from playing Wind Waker and Pokemon. I'm not saying anything about those games, but...

FWIW too ive been in guilds with girls, if you've got like 5+ in the guild it works a ton better as they usually are talented because no one is oogling over the the girl, if you got 1 they just snuggle up to the officers or leader.
Don't think they had syncronized yet so there wasnt any end of the month mega bomb drama

Ok guytalk here, but do any of you guys play with girls/add them into your party/w.e you call it in game more because of the fact that they're female and not really because they're good at the game? I tend to do it on occasion lol, but like all the girls at games I play with, they kind of rely on me to carry them to victory or whatever so I'm kinda forced to playing the alpha male cocky dbag role while they sit back and do their thing.
Idk why I do it to myself because it makes things harder on me which means I have to take my blood pressure medicine from raging, but it feels good at the end of the game lol, like I'm whiteknighting for the "damsel in distress" or some goofy shit, lol.

My local GameStop's employee ratio is usually a 1:3 female:male ratio. Honestly, it feels like that's what it is at each and every store I go to. Not sure about the customers since I don't go too often anymore, but I'm assuming it's mostly teenage boys. So maybe it's not so much sexism as women just being a bit of an anomaly...?
Is GameStop still the #1 place to buy games at? Didn't Best Buy or Amazon move in on that? I stopped buying stuff there after being given the, "You should have pre-ordered it..." bit.

No I dont, the root of inviting a girl even though she is bad is because it gives the guy the satisfaction of actually talking to a girl. Also some guys like that offhand chance of talking more and getting pictures or whatever(fwiw i actually banged a chick i met through playing games, another story for another day) i'm actually less likely to play with a girl even if she is skilled simply because I talk alot of shit when playing and alot of girls get irritated if i make sexist comments. Whatever get over it.
When I play games I play hard, when I pursue women I pursue women hard. I don't need to deal with terrible girl gamers as my opportunity to talk to girls so unless you got something else to bring to the table i'm not going to play with you.
