This universe exists in many religions. It's usually referred to as Hell.

You steal men's souls and make them your slaves!
MC Hammer is a Christian.
EDIT: Oh, I misread "stated" as "started." And you were referring to the poster, not MC Hammer. Still, though...

Perhaps the same could be said of all religions...

Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you.

A miserable little pile of secrets. But enough talk, have at you!
*intense battle ensues*
....Stop that. :P
I should tell my chosen religious deity to smite you so I don't have to warn you.
That's a good point. Taoism doesn't have a deity...per se. We have immortals and we have the Jade Emperor, and even an afterlife, but that is more related to myth than belief. I wonder if that solidifies our status as Philosophy. I like to think of Taoism as a religion. Strange, really... I don't like to think or say that I'm without religion. It's like relinquishing a favored teddy bear...or a heroin syringe.

Well tbh I'm not quite sure. I grew up believing in Christianity, then as a pre-teen I stopped believing in Christianity. I still held on to the belief in God and my moral-stance of helping others and trying to be a good person. And then, at a low point in my life, I stopped believing in God and anything good, so I was an atheist/agnostic. And now, I believe in God again, but I still do not believe in some of the teachings in Christianity (no disrespect to any Christians, Jews, Muslims or any other followers of a religion)
