So yesterday I am walking around in shorts and a shirt, playing with my son on a warm 71 degree F day, as the night progressed I could feel the temperature drop drastically. So now there is 6-8 inches of snow and ice on the ground and lucky for us the roads are not that bad.
Where I am from things like this, while still freaky, are a common occurance. We see hail with rain storms, tornados and rain with out a cloud in the sky40-50 degree temperature veriations, microbusts in a thunderstorm and many more things. So I am curious as to some of your stories pertaining to wicked weather.
I will post some of my other stories some time soon.

Uggghhhh, it's the same here in Central TZ. >_< Except for the large heaps of snow. The snow just melted from the ground, but the cars are covered completely. It's going to warm up a bit.
I woke up this morning and as I was getting out of bed, my feet went numb in less than a second. >:\ And the shower.... was cold. And instead of drinking warm water, I drank cold water with ice in it, for whatever reason like I always do.
T'was cold all day until I took my blanket and wore it like a cape and had 3 layers of socks.
.....And I also stole that cupcake.

Oh, I hear you Meier! It's snowing outside where I live too! Not as much as what you're getting, but it's still odd to see during this time of year. It supposed to be Spring Break for my two little cousins, and it's....SNOWING?!?!
Yeah, it's super fun living in Tornado Alley, ain't it? We get all kinds of fun weather happening around this time of year. I still remember the tornado that came through Fort Smith back in '96. You can still see a bit of the damage that happened during that time if you go downtown, because I guess the city planners thought it would be better to keep some of those old buildings up as a testament to what had happened. I say go ahead and tear them down and put in something that would, I don't know, say....STIMULATE OUR ECONOMIC GROWTH IN THE CITY?!?!? Meh.. I guess that's why there's Fayetteville to go to for that.
today, i went to the grocery store with my son right before we had this huge storm come through and i was wearing jeans and a t-shirt and wasn't cold at all; quite content actually. it rained while we were inside and when we walked out, about 30 mins later, the temp must have dropped almost 20 degrees. no snow down here though.
another story...in '07 it snowed in my college town (in east texas)...on easter

The last two years have seen some bad storms. But winter of 09 was just ****ed up. I forgot what the actual numbers were...but it rained for three days straight. The rain froze within seconds of hitting the ground...houses collapsed and I remember going outside with a soda and listening as all the trees snapped in half. Every five seconds there would be a splitting sound with a crash of ice crystals. Power was out in the backwoods places for a month and a half and people came from as far as Florida to help repair the damages. You still see fund-raisers to pay for the repairs.
People died...died of cold...died of carbon monoxide...
When the rain finally stopped, the world was crystal and all the trees resembled toothpicks that had been broke in half. You can still drive around and see the surviving trees trying to grow around the damage. All of a sudden every person in the area has a gas generator.
We had a crazy mild winter, we didn't get any snow that stayed until January or so... and by the beginning of March it was gone again which is unheard of for my area in normal climate temperatures.
Here in KY we have been having pretty steady weather. For the past week it has been in the high 60's or low 70's. About two weeks ago it was up in the 70's. Then the very next day it was down in the low 30's. We haven't had any snow in a few weeks so hopfully it is gone and we don't get any freak snow storms..
Sitting here waiting for Rocky, and Che to notice me!!
There hasn't been this much snow in my area since "t3h blizz@rd of '93" as my biological father says
Anyways, this weather is pretty crazy due to Global Climate Change yadda yadda democrat blah blah ipso facto the weather sucks for now but hopefully will correct itself
The uk had some pretty crazy weather over thelast few months, thick deep snow in february, freezing cold last week and bloody lovely warm weather today. I hate english weather lol

Thats about what it looked like here Bob, it only took a few hours to get that way also. Today most of the snow has melted off, I would say atleast 45% of it, the roads are clear (thank god for the warm previous days because our plow teams are not very proficiant) and the weather is on the up and up again.
Looks like Tuesday we are suppose to be back in the hi 60s low 70s. Also the temperature through out the week doesnt look bad with the exception that the temp will fluxuate almost 10-20 degrees perday haha.

So yeah I am necro posting this thread and double posting to boot! I just wanted to share this video of yesterdays storm that came through. Watch it, it will give you an idea of what we face here every year. Try to watch all of it because it gets pretty crazy.
Just today my school had a pretty short thunderstorm during the second lunch period. It was weird, because the storm lasted for about a couple of minutes, when it should've lasted for an hour. The rain wasn't heavy, but it was really cloudy.
Maybe it'll rain heavier after several hours.
.....And I also stole that cupcake.

It stormed in my neck of the woods too, but we didn't see any hail or anything. Just a lot of rain, thunder and lightning. That hailstorm in the vid was crazy though, and the water in the pool looked like it was just erupting out of it. Wonder how large the hail was? I could see a bit of it, but I couldn't really make out the size.
There was softball sized reported hail reported in some counties. Not sure how big it was there but I am thinking it was atleast baseball sized. Hailing when it is above 70 degrees is always interesting though.

Today me and my friends were fishing. It was roughly 90 degree's out. All of a sudden we get hit with a huge f*cking rain storm. It rained for 3 hours before stopping. Of course we stayed out there, cause best time to fish is in the rain.
There has been some crazy thus far. Must be the world gearing up for 2012....

Weather's been kinda shitty around here lately. Then again, it is Oregon. But yeah; I'd just decided to wear shorts this week, when all of a sudden it started raining. The other day, the wind was really strong, and the power went out all over Albany, and also in Eugene (or so I heard.) Also yesterday, I went running in the pouring down rain with my friends. By the end, it was sunny, but my shirt was soaked. Then later, I was driving around, it was raining, and it got so bad at one point that I could barely see. I was like, "Whoah!" Stupid rain. I am defiantly wearing the shorts, still. Also, I like pizza. ...I have no pizza, but I want some... Anyhoo...
Today it was all sunny to the whole city being cloudy. I went to ride a bike to the gas station to get the sunday paper and it started to pour so bad lol. Reminded me of upstate New York.

today was like 93F, no wind, cloudy with a chance of rain that never happened, and like 100% humidity. I come home from a full day of work today to find out that there is a problem with our house's AC ventilation system.

Ohhhh man. Binghamton weather is so ridiculous. It would rain sideways, snow, and then hit 80 degrees in the same week. It actually snowed a tiny bit when I was up there two weekends ago.

It's getting pretty hot over here. The weather man has promised us a couple of days of rain this week though. I like the sunny weather, but it can get too hot if you're trying to study for your exams.
I will need booze. Or maybe just water.
